I love the way Donna instructs on her videos. She's always focused on the project without a lot of excessive talking that, most of the time, seems forced. She's the very best quilting teacher around! Met her at the Houston Quilt Show a few years ago, and she's a nice in person as on her videos.
I love it and the fabrics are beautiful!
@Konnor Neil Why would you want to hack your girlfriend's password? You're not much of a boyfriend, IMO.
Absolutely agree @Linda Eads! I am so thrilled to have found Donna’s channel! She makes everything so easy to understand and follow!
You
Great point. I stop following someone bc they were a vlog. I love Donna’s lesson, really inspires you to get busy.
Here in Kentucky we love the sport teams of the University of Kentucky (UK). Their colors are royal blue and white. This quilt pattern would be beautiful in any school's colors (which would make it a quilt you may take to the game, or put on a dorm room bed). It would make a very nice gift for any student, fan, or for yourself. The University of Louisville is red and white. Thank you. Please stay safe.
Just got the ruler for Christmas. Can't wait to use it.
May I recommend Eleanor Burns tool for sewing these angles - the Sew Straight Ruler. It’s also for straight sewing but using it for those angles is SO helpful. No fabric marking. Just follow the lines on the tool.
Thanks, I'll check it out!
I just bought the pattern and look forward to making it. I belong to Victorias Quilts and we make quilts for cancer patients so I thought this might be a cheery colourful pattern to make.
You make it so fast and it's beautiful love it.
My granddaughter wants one of these in sunflowers. Hope I can find a sunflower jelly roll
Thank you Donna for this awesome👍 idea l love any thing I can make with jelly rolls😍
Another great execution of s quilt. I’m getting this.
You are awesome the way you instruct on making the quilt. I love it but my goodness, it rood take me too long to make the the hearts, but the 9 patch is very simple. I will try it. Thank you,
I eally enjoy watching your videos. They are so helpful.
I want that sun flower fabric..it's awesome..you have the prettiest fabrics in your quilts...and you teach so well..watch your tutorials over and over...
I'm excited. I purchased this pattern last year. Valentine fabric is on sale. So this will be fun!
New colors. I love the design from Cozy Quilts
I love the bright color hearts. More versatile than red/pink/ purples tha are common in valentines projects.
The tops of the hearts have a 3D effect - very cool!!
I like the way you put that quilt together and made the pieces for it. Since I am a beginner on the sewing machine I am about to finish a quilt my grandmother was working on before becoming ill and passing away, then work on one I have a plan for.
Love this!!! Again, great tutorial
I love your calming voice I love the way you're teaching. Your voice reminds me of my teacher in Vo-Tech. I learned a lot from her you have such calming effect and I really enjoy listening to you and watching you make quilts 💕💕💕💯 thank you so much! I'm learning a lot!

Lucky person to have met her!
I’m not sure if you read comments but I was wondering if you could do a video on Emily’s wedding quilt. My best friend is getting married in may and I would love to see how you would pick colors, cut, and have tips and tricks. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise with us all. Bravo
Love this quilt, Donna. I bought the pattern from Jordan Fabrics. Am looking forward to making this quilt.
Oh I love it!! And I totally agree that hearts should be for all year and everybody, not just Valentine's Day. I love how that heart is constructed. Thank you for sharing. Great video as always.

So true she is an excellent instructor
Stressful day here for me. Donna making a quilt is so calming, I mellow out. I could listen to her machine running and her cutting all day.
As you are smart and capricious, it is a magic to see everything come to fruition. Congratulations: I'm translated by Google. I am Brazilian and I do not know how to sew or work on machines, for me you are the best professional.👌👏👏👏⚘🇧🇷
This is such a cute pattern and fabric.
Absolutely beautiful
Very cute and very practical with the non traditional colors!! Thanks for more inspiration!!

Donna is so pleasant and calming in her teaching. It's simple, clear and never rushed. She is in my opinion the best teacher.
Red hearts are a very popular Christmas motif in the Scandinavian countries. Back in the 1970s I made quite a few Danish and Swedish cross-stitch decorative items for Christmas that featured red hearts. With that in mind, you could use your red heart quilts at Christmas as well as in February. There are charming Scandinavian Christmas decorations and straw reindeer available online that would add a nice touch to the rooms with the heart quilts. These decorations are simple, usually made of wood. Add a couple of white candles, and enjoy a Nordic Christmas theme.
I LOVE the patchwork block. I’m going to use that idea to make a quilt and instead of the hearts, use some small quilt blocks I have. ! GREAT ! Thanks so much Donna !
Очень красиво! Смотрю и учусь у вас. Я сшила такое же покрывало.
you make such beautiful quilts
Love this! I'm not a huge fan of red and pink, but love your bright colours. Thanks for another great tutorial. Would love it if you could teach us how to make a quilt coat? You are amazing... your teaching is very clear.
I love the colors in this quilt!!
My mother had the same problem with all of her holiday themed decorations. The way she saw this was that she paired them with a snowman or snowflake decorations which you could use until the beginning of March. She was thought it was very important to strike a balance between the theme decorations and the snowman or snowflake decorations. In fact she was able to use the snowflake decorations because they were so dainty even in the summertime. They were the background of course but she she would always use them. I think it was more of a psychological effect because anytime you felt like you're really hot and you didn't want to put the AC on you could always just look at the snowflakes and then you were always brought back to winter and cooler temperatures.
Donna, I absolutely love the fabrics you chose for this quilt! It makes me happy to look at it. And it’s a great idea to make ‘seasonal’ or ‘holiday’ quilts in colorways that we can use all year. Another great CQ pattern, and another fabulous quilt! Thanks!
