I can often nod off to the comforting, familiar sounds of Donna's quilt-making. It's not a negative reflection on Donna at all, just the fact that I've been logged in to RUclips for far too long!
Talking to the nurse at the doctor's office today. She said she is learning to sew and to quilt. Without hesitation, I told her to watch Jordan Fabrics RUclips videos. Donna, you are the best! And, I like both the fall quilt and the Christmas quilt.
I have been in hospital for weeks now recovering from a total knee replacement. When not in Rehab, I spend my time reviewing all my saved Jordan Fabric videos and making lists of what patterns I need to order, the fabrics I will use from my stash and what fabrics I will need to buy (usually background) to finally achieve my to-make quilt list. Thank you for all the lovely quilts you have shown us over the years - while you always say that the patterns you choose are simple, I always have my doubt when seeing the finished quilt! However, after watching your video, you break down everything so simply that it fills me with confidence 🤗
The Golden Boy (the name I've given your autumn quilt) is stunning. I also like how you used a gold color with the Christmas quilt. Respect to your cameraman.
As soon as you walked out with those colors, I thought to myself, "she's going to pick one of those golds." I literally laughed out loud when you said that just as soon as I thought it. LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. Thank you for sharing your love of quilting with us!
Donna, I bought this pattern from you years ago and LOVE that you revisited it and give such helpful hints! I like the Autumn one best. You inspire all of us and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! How is Matt? We miss seeing him with you. Please ask him if he’ll join you again in choosing fabrics etc… your outdoor walks to the shop were very nice. I live in Wisconsin and love to see your scenery in Grants Pass.
I’d also love to see Matt every so often. I appreciate his vast understanding of colors, values and the sometimes elusive dynamics between fabrics. And I have learned so much in this area secondary to watching you choose differing fabrics from the featured quilt on a pattern. Between the both of you, my fabric choices have broadened greatly and I appreciate being able to learn so much.
Thank you, Donna. Again, you explain every pattern for those of us who are beginners. I have made a few small pieces, but not yet committed to a full pattern. Watching your videos is very encouraging for me to take the next step. I prefer the fall one, but I think this pattern is one that would work with lots of different fabrics. 😊
Both of the quilt tops are gorgeous. Personally, I prefer the autumn top. I have many winter things I put out but very few fall, I am going to have to make this quilt with the jelly roll you used. It is a beautiful roll. Thank you for going slow, showing us the steps you take and then what you did to get seams to lay flatter and without as much bulk. I do appreciate all the hard work your family does to get a video out for us.
Definitely the autumn quilt! This would look great using Japanese/Asian prints with a black background, too. Looks very complicated but you make is seem so easy!
I prefer the fall prints; to my eye the fabrics are more vibrant than the Christmas fabrics. This pattern would work so well with a huge range of fabrics. Thank you for sharing your time and talents.
Love this quilt! Can’t wait to make one. I am a huge fan of Cozy Quilt patterns that use the strip tube method and ruler because the quilt comes together so quickly. I prefer the autumn version. As always, Donna, thanks for being such a wonderful teacher.
I love this quilt pattern. It would look good in so many fabrics but I prefer the autumn colour. As always, your videos are a joy to watch. Thank you so much, Donna 😊
Donna I love the fact you didn’t care so much if the seams nested but then just folded over the fabric….I spent hours on a quilt trying to do the same and it drove me nuts. I love the autumn quilt, for some reason, it just shows the fabric beautifully and the pattern. I think this would look fantastic in black-and-white geometric strip sets, for example, etc. thanks for the great quilt idea.
They are both lovely but I like the Christmas best. Thank you for sharing your quilting gifts with us. I tell everyone you could teach my poodle to quilt!
This is a beautiful quilt in both colors. I like fall colors best. Have you ever seen a real Buckeye? I'n not talking about someone from Ohio. Buckeye trees (also know as Horse Chestnuts) grow here. The nuts of the Buckeye trees are shinny, dark brown, big, and beautiful. I was told to never eat a buckeye; (because they are supposed to be poisonous to us); but, carrying a Buckeye seed in your pocket is supposed to bring you good luck. Planting a Buckeye tree on your property is supposed to bring good luck to everyone living on the land and near it.
I like the fall colors the best. You do such a wonderful job of selecting your colors and backing. I really like the leaf pattern quilting you chose also.
That jelly roll is filled with beautiful vibrant autumn colors. Thank you for providing another video. Just when I need it most, you drop one that encourages me to get my sewing mojo on.
Beautiful quilt. Love the trick with the 2 units right sides together. I’d have never thought of that! I make a lot of quilts since 4 years ago. This technique is definitely going into my quilting projects😊
At first, I thought I would never try this pattern. After watching you do it, I think I can do it! I like the fall coloration better, but I do think the little center squares show up better on the Christmas fabric. Both look great! Thank you, Donna!
I like the Autumn version the best, which is surprising because I love Christmas! And the Buckeye Beauty pattern is perfect for me because the Buckeye Tree is Ohio's state tree., and I was born and raised in Ohio. Plus I still live here in northwest Ohio. I do have this pattern, so I'll be making this quilt. I bought the pattern from Jordan Fabrics. I love all the videos Donna Jordan has!
Thanks Donna! You always break down the making of a quilt look so easy. These 2 are so pretty 😍. I like the Fall quilt best but both are beautiful. See you next time 🧵🪡
You make everything look so easy. I love both quilts but I think if I had to pick only one I’d go for the fall quilt. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. 💜
They are both gorgeous! Although I'm very partial to anything Christmas and not usually into fall that much, I think the fall quilt is my favorite. The fabrics are stunning!
Hello!!! I absolutely love the fall quilt the best. The patchwork is so beautiful and the backing is absolutely gorgeous!!! Love, love, love it. Am very tempted to get fabrics and make one for myself!! I actually do not have a fall throw so I really need one. I just got into quilting a couple of years ago. Am thoroughly addicted. I can't believe how much fun it is and I especially love working with scraps and crumb piecing!! Thank you so very much for your talent and for sharing on your RUclips channel. I am an avid fan and my husband even enjoys watching your videos at times when he is present with me. ❤️
Like both quilts, right now I choose the fall because you picked an awesome backing and it's finished! I'm sure you will pick a beautiful backing for the Christmas quilt too, and I will love it just as much!!
Beautiful Quilt Donna and lovely fabric, it really does sing Autumn. Thank you so much for sharing this with us and for your explanations on matching/or not seams xx
Long time viewer first time commenter....loved the autumn colors. I have sewn my whole life but just recently started diving into quilting. Your videos inspired me to make my toddler granddaughters their (and mine) first quilts using the jelly roll race. Of course it was a quilt top by me and quilted by a local quilter with a machine such as yours. I have started a king sized quilt for my own bed (will take me awhile to finish as I have several projects and customer jobs in between) and my daughter gave me a grandson 18 months ago so I am collecting dinosaur material as you cannot find pre cut jelly rolls with dinosaurs to make him a quilt like his sisters for Christmas this year. Keep the videos going you are a wonderful teacher!
I never thought I'd say this, but I like the fall colors the best. I usually don't go for those at all, but is so much brighter than the Christmas one. I think that's why. I'd usually go for the Christmas, but it's darker and just doesn't grab me. I'm really going to have to make one up, tho. Really gorgeous!! As usual, awesome instructions! Thanks for that, Donna. 😊
I love the pumpkin one the best...the fall colors stand really stand out. I love watching your videos and have learned so much from watching them. Thanks!
Beautiful autumn fabric. This is a nice Cozy Quilt pattern, and although the construction is different, it reminds me of Donna's "Jewel Box" pattern. Both are great!
Donna, I just love watching your tutorials. I have learned so much by watching you. Thank you!! I like both quilts. But if I had to chose one, I would chose the fall colors 😊
Anyone else love the sound of the rotary cutting through the fabric 😊
And the steam from the iron lol. I keep buying irons to get that steam but haven’t found one. Maybe it’s just sound effects lol.
I love the sound of her iron hissing too!
I can often nod off to the comforting, familiar sounds of Donna's quilt-making. It's not a negative reflection on Donna at all, just the fact that I've been logged in to RUclips for far too long!

Next time you see her you should tell her about Missouri Star Quilt Company they have tutorials that use precuts, such nice people.
Both quilts are really pretty, but I am partial to Fall colors - so I agree with you!
The Fall quilt is beautiful 😊
Both the fall and Christmas quilt are beautiful, but the fall colors are my favorite. Thank you for another great tutorial.
Fall is gorgeous!

Been there with the knee - keep doing the rehab and look forward to all the quilts you will make. God bless you Daisy
Do what your therapist tells you to do. To the letter and ull be doing happy dances and sewing up a storm soon. Love, an Olde RealNurseCaseManager.
I wish you a speedy recovery so you can get started on aaaaall those quilts 💖💪
@@emmadebemma572 Thank you, I am getting out tomorrow!
I prefer the autumn version. This really does seem like a quick quilt to make. I too like Cozy Quilt designs.
Always good to see a new video from Donna and Jordan Fabrics. Thank you.
Didn't recognize your hands without the beautiful nail polishes. Lol I so enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
And through the magic of video her perfect manicure appeared halfway through filming! 😂
Prefer the Christmas version.
I LIKE BOTH, BUT I LOVE FALL, THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US ALL YOUR KNOWLEDGE
Donna, thank you for always being so clear on how to cut, construct, choose fabrics, etc. Your videos always make me feel happy to be a quilter.
That autumn backing is an absolute show stopper ❤
The Golden Boy (the name I've given your autumn quilt) is stunning. I also like how you used a gold color with the Christmas quilt.
Respect to your cameraman.
Donna, five years ago, I taught myself how to quilt by watching your videos! Thank you for all of the inspiration and advise through the years!
Me too, 4 years ago!
Me too during Covid. I never thought I would ever be a quilter but with accidentally finding Donna’s videos I knew I had to try.
Me too during Covid. I never thought I would ever be a quilter but with accidentally finding Donna’s videos I knew I had to try.
You give the very best instruction. Thank you, Donna
They are both so pretty, but I think the Fall one is my favorite of the two. Lovely!
I always learn something from her videos
Fall is my favorite. I've been a subscriber here for years. I just can't get enough of Donna's wonderful quilt ideas.
I really appreciate you and your family for sharing your quilt making with us. Beautiful!!!
The Atumn quilt was lovely beautiful 😊
As soon as you walked out with those colors, I thought to myself, "she's going to pick one of those golds." I literally laughed out loud when you said that just as soon as I thought it. LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. Thank you for sharing your love of quilting with us!

Matt is doing great and working on what he loves best - cutting out patchwork kits! I'll see if we can get him into another video soon.
They are both great but, I agree with you, the Autumn quilt looks the best. Thank you for another inspirational video.
I like the autumn version! Great video. Very clear directions!
I love the Autumn version.
Love the Autumn version, but also love the other, and you too, Donna

The Autumn one is gorgeous!
I love the Autumn colors with the Leaves quilting!! It’s just Beautiful!!
Beautiful quilt colors Donna. Autumn color.
I prefer the 🍂 quilt. The colors in that line are simply beautiful. Thank you again for another great tutorial video.
I plan on using “jewel-tones” for my Granddaughter’s quilt. I know it will be stunning and with Donna’s tutorial I can’t loose.
Definitely the autumn quilt! This would look great using Japanese/Asian prints with a black background, too. Looks very complicated but you make is seem so easy!

First I was going threw my stash to look for autumn fabrics, now I'm looking for the Christmas. IF I had to choose I couldn't!
I prefer the autumn one. It's the combination of the oranges and grey greens, very beautiful!
Really like the fabric choice on this pattern. Autumn colors
My favorite is the fall quilt. Thanks so much for your tutiorals.
Both quilts are stunners. Thank you for always providing fun & instructional videos.
Autumn quilt is my favorite.
Beautiful quilts but I too prefer the fall quilt because of the pumpkins on the back. As always, you make it seem so easy. Thank you for sharing.
I love this quilt pattern. It would look good in so many fabrics but I prefer the autumn colour. As always, your videos are a joy to watch. Thank you so much, Donna 😊
I normally don’t care for autumnal colors but this one is so beautiful! The pattern seems to be a great choice too!
I think I prefer the autumn quilt. I like the rich colors in the fabric you used. Thank you for sharing another great video.
I'm not usually a fall colored person, but the fall one is absolutely gorgeous !!!❤
Love them both but the best one has got to be the autumn one ❤
