My favorite of all. I’d rather make Donna’s patterns than ANY pattern. She is the very best teacher! I LOVE HER!!!!!!
I have to admit that I prefer the scrappy centres. Thanks for your enthusiasm and all your wonderful tutorials.
You've outdone yourself and I was certain that that was not possible
I watch A LOT of these how to make quilt videos. I Have to say, yours are the best ! No kidding ... in explanation, in the FANTASTIC UPCLOSE cutting, AND the super upclose stitching. The clarity is perfect. This upclose stitching is so frustrating on other channels, mostly because there is no Up Close, or all stitching on machine is body blocked or you can't see past the wrist of the quilter. The start to finish is just great! I wish I lived close enough to visit your store and watch this magic happen. You're always so sweet and passionate about every one you make. Makes me want to learn how to do this for a living. *brand new quilter, with a small home machine* I would really love to see a tutorial on how to quilt a bed sized quilt on home machine (one with a little opening for the material). Something not just "quilt as you go", or "stitch in the ditch", but a full top with the sandwich all rolled up and how to maneuver it :)
Seriously who are the people that feel the need to give it a thumbs down. Thank you Donna for a great quilt and all the wonderful tips and tricks.
Beautiful tutorial and no need to feel intimidated the way you teach and lay everything out step by step. I prefer different colour centers. Thanks for sharing.
I wish all of RUclips was as nice as these quilting videos
I'm a scrappy quilt girl...so all the different coloured center squares gets my vote.
I am a retired teacher and I place you at the top for your excellence in teaching on your tutorials..Your work with colors tells me you have been blessed with this gift.
I think that the same color squares give it more focus and a specific pattern. I love your videos and manner of presentation. You are concise and to the point and easy to follow. Thank you so much. I always watch you first thing in the morning to get me excited about getting me up and going.
I've mentioned this before, in the past, but I really appreciate the excellent job that your son does with the filming. The close ups, the steady hand, and just the professional way it is done. Thank you.
I am already retired from my profession, I made an additional hubby to do quilting work. Thank you so much for your unselfish time and awesome knowledge to share your fabulous quilting design and ideas. You are helping me a lot. Thank you again.
I am not a quilter, but absolutely love watching these videos. Donna explains the process so clearly.
Again ...love it ...love it ...love it.....scrappy looks best.......I love, absolutely love, that sugar cookie!!!!
I think youtube needs a "love" emoji on your channel Donna. Your designs and your tutorials are the best and the blue thumbs up emoji doesn't say how much we love them.
I like scrapie, Great quilt.
You make it look so simple. Thanks Donna. It's so beautiful 😊
I’m new to the channel and realized you guys are west of family I have in Klamath Falls!!! I’m in CO now but there will always be a place in my heart for Oregonians!!!❤️❤️❤️
I like the Scrappy squares the best, both are beautiful, but the Scrappy just steals my heart. Thank you Jordan for all the wonderful videos you make to help us learn more about quilting!
i am recovering from a light case of corano and i don’t know what i would have done without your tuts. i have been away from my room in assisted living for five weeks and can’t ywait to get back there.
I like the mixed centers best. For some reason I could see another secondary pattern that I didn’t see with the green centers. You are a really great teacher, Donna. Thanks for all you and your team do for us. Much appreciated!
Donna, thank you so much for all of your video's. You are an amazing teacher. Thank you for not using pre cuts! They aren't budget friendly
"The cornerstones make the quilt sing!!" I love it - Thank you Donna
I prefer the mixed centers but it's a beautiful quilt as always! In my opinion you are the best teacher on the net. As a quilter of 30 plus years I have learn so much from you. Wish you were here when I started quilting. Say hi to Matt!
Always an inspiration....
I think I need to live 10 lives to make everything I want.
Thanks once again.
From australia
The green one is nicer. It stands out. Whereas the red ones just blends in. Anyway you make them looks good. Stay happy and stay safe
I Love them Both!!... but? I don’t know, I think I like the mixed colors 👋👍❤️
I really like the 2nd version with the different color squares. I think this quilt would look really good in patriotic colors!
Thank you Jordan Fabric for responding about your Galaxy free pattern. Have a Blessed Day. Pamala Harmon
Donna, I think this is my favorite of all of your quilt patterns. I love the fabric. I think that with the green in the middle, it looks more Christmasy, but with the multiple colored middles, it looks more like a year-round quilt. Its really beautiful and I cannot wait to make it!
I Like the quilt with the green centers, but I REALLY LIKE the scrappy option!!!!!!!
I love the ones with the red and black centers. It just looks more coordinated to me.
I like the non-green squares better than the green ones. Makes the quilt look more elevated.
Thank you for all your tutorials,, I love this pattern. My high school sewing instructor (Mrs. Pheifer-BarstowHS) would be so proud of your accuracy in technic and teaching. 🧵
Both are lovely but surprisingly different just by changing the centre squares. I couldn't pick a favourite. Your video inspires as always Donna.
This is a beautiful example of your creative mind! I just love how you combine blocks to make masterpieces.
I was wondering if you would do a video on the processes you go through to quilt your works on the quilting machine; from preparing a quilt to be put on the quilting frame to taking it off before adding binding. I think it would be a very popular video.
Thanks for sharing your love of quilting!
I like the green centers because it's the only continuity. It accents the scrappy look of the rest of it.
This quilt is gorgeous. It's amazing how just by making a small change, you get an entirely different look. Great tutorial!! Adding this quilt to my "to do" list.
This quilt is stunning! I like center blocks both ways but I choose the green. :) Ty for your forever kindness Donna and Matt.
Mixed colours for the centres looked fantastic, what a beautiful quilt Donna, thank you for the free pattern.
Scrappy for me!!!! This pattern is JUST what I've been looking for!!!!
G'day, just a quick note to say how much I loved your new interpretation of the quilt you've done before. Very inspirational. Thank you Donna (and the team)
Beautiful!!! I like the all green squares best. Thank you, Donna.
I love the mixed squares as centres. Thanks for all the advice, tips and free patterns.
My choice is different squares instead of all green! That red poppy fabric is to die for!! Love it!!
Really like this quilt and the scrappy squares are my favorite.
Both quilts are beautiful Donna! I prefer the one with the all green centers because I can see the large star easier. Funny how everyone sees things differently.
I love that fabric range especially the poppies. It would be lovely for a remembrance quilt.Could you do a tutorial for making "new" fabric out of the printed selvedges please?
I loved the green center squares and then the scrappy centers came along. I like the scrappy squares the best. Love your tutorials🟥🟢🟥🟩🔴🟩
I know this is a 3yr old video, but I love the scrappy look.
I liked it better with scrappy centers, as the stars stood out more than the centers with that option. The corner units would be great in other blocks, too. Thanks for another inspiration.
Beautiful pattern. I like the mixed centers as it seems to continue the chain look better. ❤️
Cathleen Cavanaugh I think so too 👍👍
I have to tell you, Donna, that I purchased the iron you use. I was SO TIRED of any iron I had messing up my fabric. This one is perfect!
This quilt is so very beautiful. I really like this a lot & Cant wait to make own. I think I preferred the scrappy squares in the middle as opposed to the more uniform green ones. Either way you have outdone yourself, Donna!!😊
I am orally addicted to your videos! I am actually believing I could do some of these! Thank you for what you do! You clearly have passion, knowledge and a good instinct on how to do these! Thank you!
This is such a beautiful quilt. I prefer the one with the scrappy Center . Thank you for the Video
I do like the 2'nd one best, but the 1'st one is lovely also. I'm always happy when you create another quilt pattern, THANK YOU DONNA!!!
Love the quilt. I liked mixed centre square. But they both lovely. A big high from New Zealand
I LUV the scrappy look for the center squares....🌹💮🌸💐🌺🏵 ALL your projects are BEAUTIFUL, tho!!! 💝💞💖💗💘
I love the green center squares as a Christmas quilt the best. Great job Donna!!! You are the best teacher. You make it so easy to quilt with your videos. Thanks so much for sharing. 🧵💗🧵💗
I like the green centers best. The multicolored centers look really good
Another beautiful pattern! I like the centers all the same. It would be a great way to showcase a large printed fabric. Thank you for so many great patterns, wish I had time to make them all!❤️️
I really like the scrappy look with the center square. Thank you so much for this. It's like the Ohio State with a twist.
This is another brilliant idea..and great tutorial making it easy for anyone to follow. I love the design and fabrics you used.. I like the varied colors for centers but the green is very pretty too. 👍💗
The green was nice but I like the mixed colors better. My favorite part is that you make every quilt seem so easy. Your the best!
This is a beautiful quilt, I especially loved the mixed center squares. Thanks for all you share with us. ❤️
Both ways are really pretty, but being a scrappy quilter so I’m a little more partial to the scrappy square. It’s always a great day when Jordan Fabrics posts a new video!
Thank you so much for your generous lessons! Much appreciated!
I liked the scrappy look instead of the green, they are both beautiful, but the scrappy one is my best choice
Love the variety of fabrics you’re using. And think there are endless possibilities in laying out the star blocks. Love the idea of no seams to match. Thanks Donna! Lovely pattern. ☺️🇦🇺 PS Scrappy is best!
Love the center square in the varied color fabrics.
I like the mixed centers.
Thank you for another wonderful video!
Both versions of the quilt are beautiful, but I prefer the the scrappy version. Love your videos
Love the tutorials only down side is at 70 I’m never going to make my wish list I’ve compiled. Thank you so much though for rekindling my love of quilting
I'll be 69 in June so I understand. I'll never get all of my list finished either. And no one else in the family is interested in quilting so my stash will probably be orphaned.
I've seen so many beautiful old quilts going through household auctions, it makes me sick that a family would let something handmade go like that. I got a lot pickier in my old age about who I made quilts for, and I also cut way back on the size. No more queens and kings or even fulls. I make them more like a coverlet size, just covering the bed. Easier to handle and to wash.
Same here with bequeathing the stash, tho--nobody in my family knows Jinny Beyer from Princess Mirah. On a happier note, my god-daughter still has an applique baby quilt I made her forty years ago. Well-used, but appreciated.
Jean Combstock I am 73 and I am not going to give up quilting until I can’t sew any more it’s my “Happy Place”!
My quilting friends, well we’re only in our 50s and already worried we won’t finish everything ... but as we only said this evening “it’s great fun trying”
Jean Combstock. I understand how you feel at age 70. Well I am 83, disabled, with kidney failure, but I still plan on getting things I love finished! I hand embroider ,machine embroider, quilt, do beadwork, crazy quilts, and make jewelry from bakable clay. In my spare time, I enjoy make ing cards and decorative boxes. Did I say I still do a little gardening? No one can stop me from doing what I llove.
I love these colors. Your tutorials are so informative. When you talk it concerns the project. My time I value as most working women do. Watching every step is perfect. Thank you for your amazing tutorials.
Those fabrics are gorgeous and you’re so talented in your designs and an amazing teacher. Thanks so much
I like it both ways. But the different colors are the best.
Another great pattern and tutorial. I will add it to my 'do make', list. Thank you, so much for all you do for quilter like myself.
Another beautiful quilt. I prefer the multiple color squares. Thanks Donna.
Love this pattern, it is definitely on my “to do” list. Both versions are lovely, I think I like the mixed centers better😊.
I prefer the scrappy centres. Bravo! Beautiful quilt.
I like the second version better because I like the red centers. If they were a variety of blue or black, I wouldn't like it. 💜🌞🌵
I love the scrappy look much better, even though green is my favorite colour!
The one with the mixed colours for the centers is beautiful 👏👍⚘
I like the scrappy centers best. They add a pop that I really like. I really like your tutorials--Thank you so much!
Loved the more Scrappy look, especially the red and black. Thanks for your tireless work on the videos, and I must say the camera work is brilliant. A big thumbs up to the man behind the scenes.
I am not usually a floral kind of person, but love this quilt in that material. I do like the mixed centers better than all green. Thanks for your great tutorials!!
I really like the Scrappy squares in the middle square. It takes the edge off the Christmassy look.
The red and black centers made it look less Christmasy 👍
I like scrappy centers best.
Donna, I just want to say I really enjoy your tutorials. You are a great teacher.
My Mom just bought a quilting machine because of your channel. Thank you in advance for all the quilts to come! 😂😍
Thank you. This is beautiful and you make it easy!
I like it with the green in the all the squares.
I really like this quilt, loved the green centre square, but I have to admit I really really like the more scrappy look at the end.
I really like the green squares in the middle of the block, makes it stand out more! Thank you!
Love the scrappy centre version!
I have watched several of your videos now and will continue because you are a wonderful teacher!!! thank you for sharing your talent and ideas with us!
I like the scrappy look better, but both are lovely. I love watching your tutorials, you make it seem so easy it encourages me.
Hi, the scrappy looks very nice. Can’t believe that they did not claim their giveaway. BTW, love using a weight to help with my cutting. I use an 8 lb. weight, game changer! Thank you for all your videos.
Donna you are a great teacher. Love both quilts equally well. The bright green really gives it a little punch, and the scrappy looks great also.
Lovely quilt with simple piecing.
Scrappy look is my favorite.
I like the second idea with different color blocks, because it looks more unified. The Galaxy pattern is beautiful and I love the work you do, Donna. Thank you!
Scrappy best!!!! ❤️ Love watching you!!!
