Your sunny fabrics reflect your sunny disposition. They and you are such a joy! ❤
That’s a lovely thing to say! 🥰
That is why enjoy them so much as well!
I love Coriander Saturdays. Coffee with Corey. I love it.
I’m so glad you enjoy them! 😊
You make my day with your happy smile and voice!! Thank you!!
That is so nice of you to say!...thank you!
I love that you match your fabric to a quilt pattern! Many designers seem to not do this and then I'm at a loss as to what pattern would enhance the fabric. Thank you so much. 😻
It's easier for me to do so since I design both fabrics and quilt patterns. For those pattern designers that don't design both, it's in their best interest to use a more generic color palette for their patterns so it's easier to visualize in a variety of different fabrics.
You are always so happy, and I can tell you're a sunshine person. I love all your fabric. I just finished my cost up quilt, after I had it quilted I realized I didn't snowball my pumpkins on the bottom. So I have square pumpkins, but I love it. Thanks for video
That is so kind of you to say!...I bet your pumpkins look great whether they are square or round. =)
My 10" square bundle just arrived!!! Your joy shiws beautifully on videos!!! It's contagious! Many thanks!!!
Yay!...I hope you love the fabrics in person. =)
I look forward to your block of the months. Watching you on a very snowy Saturday. Keeping warm and loving the warm bright colours.
We had snow this week as well...although none today. =)
I love your videos! My fat eighth bundle arrived yesterday! I'm excited for the quilt along. Thank for showing us the Bella solids that match the Cali and Co prints.
I love that charm pack quilt. It is gorgeous.
Thank you Jeni!
I'm so excited! This will be my first quilt along! I so look forward to our Saturday morning videos. And I love my green sewing machine sweatshirt. Elonie, we need a Christmas sweatshirt! ;-0
I'll tell her you said so!
Thank you for the free pattern. It's a great smaller project to fit in a busy December. Love the Cali and Co colors. So pretty and delicate. Can't wait for the Quilt Along. Very excited for it! 🩵💛🩷
Good morning, Corey!!! Looking forward to this next BOM! Wishing you and your family had happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for you, and the bright attitude you bring in your videos, and the beautiful fabrics you bring to my home!
I'm so thankful for your kind comments each week!..You have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well. =)
@CorianderQuilts thank you!
Just how I love to spend my lunch: with a smile, creative minds and gorgeous fabrics! Thanks for another wonderful installment!
You are so welcome! Thanks so much for watching!
Love Corey's quilt parades!!!!! Beautiful quilts!
Thank you!
Thank you for the adorable pattern! Your video always brings a ray of sunshine!
You are so welcome!...thank you so much for your kind comments!
So so pretty and i love the way the prints scatter so pretty in a quilt
Thank you! I think the scale on Cali & Co. is so nice. ❤️
I’m so excited about this! I’m planning to use my Sunwashed fat quarter bundle. I just love the way you do your video tutorials. Thank you so much for all you do for us quilters, Corey!
It’s so fun to have you all sewing along!
My fat eighth bundle arrived the other day, and I was so excited to get my hands on it! like so many others have mentioned, there's something so special about handling the fabrics, and I have also found the colors are always a bit brighter in person. In the past, mystery quilts have intimidated me, but ever since I "found" Corey and her fabrics I fear no more. I have loved every mystery quilt I have made, and i so enjoyed sewing along with everyone else. Since Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I am so grateful for this lovely community that Corey has created. It is full of creativity, positivity, and kindness, all wonderful traits to possess. Happy Turkey Day to all.
It's so fun to see the fabrics in person, isn't it!...I think it's usually prettier than expected. =) And I'm so glad to have you joining in on the mystery quilt---I think they are so much fun!
I, too, really enjoy all of the kind, friendly quilters (and comments!) here. I've long thought that quilters are the friendliest bunch. =)
Oh my gosh! Where do you start.? How do you choose? They are all so beautiful! I just received my call & Co bundle, can’t wait to start the BOM!
@@bethbrown4665 We are going to have such fun!
Good morning Corey! My Cali and Co arrived yesterday. It is beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Love the information on the upcoming BOM, plus the printouts- Looking forward to doing these!
Oh, I just tried that pinch and zoom and it worked!! Thanks! helpful hint! ❤
Isn't it great you can do that!
Oh…your quilts theyre beautiful 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you!
Thanks for another wonderful video. I am looking forward to this QAL. I excited to get the Cali & co fabrics . (My son is gifting them to me for Christmas .)
Thank you for all you fo for the quilting community.
I hope you love them! What a fun Christmas gift.
Thank you for the happy video. This line has many colors shades I love. Thank you for showing us the solids. Hope you and everyone else has a very Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! =)
Good morning, it's Sunday here down under in Aus. Enjoying my coffee and watching yo. Love your inspiration. ❤
Happy Sunday from the US!
QUESTION You often talk about using the warmer pallet of colors for your collections. Not all of us understand the difference between the cooler and warmer tones in fabric. Would it be possible for you to put together a video - or portion of a video - on color theory, color families and how you choose colors for a quilt? Your instructional videos are such gems of knowledge - this would be a wonderful addition. Thank you so much!
Yes!!...I had actually pulled this question to talk about last week (from another viewer) and then the time got away from me. =) I did share a video about choosing fabrics for scrappy quilts that might answer some of your questions...but I wanted to chat just a bit more about it. =)
I have not done a sew along for many years, I'm looking forward to joining you all with this one. Thanks
So glad to have you join us!
I picked up my far eighth bundle from my local quilt shop, Sew Charming in Clanton, Alabama, today. It is beautiful! The yardage is supposed to be in next week. So excited for your block of the month!
We are going to have so much fun!
Coffee ❤and chatting about Quilting ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The best!
I'm patiently waiting for my quilt shop to get my bundle. Cali & Co is such a bright and fun fabric collection. I want to make so many things with it. Can't wait for the BOM.
The BOM is going to be so fun!
Thank you for the sewalong. Fun!
I absolutely love the Cali & Co. color palette. I have been waiting for this fabric line to ship. So cheery and bright.
Thanks so much!...I always enjoy a full rainbow of colors. =)
I just love leaf quilts! This one, done in your new fabric is so fresh and delicious! Count me in!
Is it the leaf quilts in the backdrop you are commenting on?....I think it's such a pretty fall backdrop!
@@CorianderQuilts Yes!Yes! it's such a cheerful and colourful quilt! I also like your new barn quilt, and am thrilled to hear that you are planning to have a new barn quilt pattern for every fabric line in the future! I usually (read that as "always" :) work on several quilts at the same time, and the barn quilt works perfectly in that mix.
@@Lynda-r3i Thanks so much! I had such fun with both of those leaf quilts...the scrappier maple leaf one was so much great to mix and match collections.
And I love those Barn Quilts...they go so quickly. =) It's fun just to tuck them in there when you need a quick to finish project. They've become so popular that I've started always including one and they have been quite a treat to design and make!
You have lots of cali and co quilts done. It was nice to see them
Thank you! I try to release a nice variety of new quilt patterns with each fabric collection I design.
Love the new fabrics. Too funny! I just got back from a quilt class where we did the free pillow pattern you just shared.
It’s a great one!
I love a sampler quilt! I’m looking forward to checking your BOM sewing along❤
I think it's going to be so much fun. =)
Thank you. This was the perfect start to a "snowfall warning" weekend
I hope you enjoy your wintery weekend. =)
Yes! Looking forward to sewing along with everyone. Corey - thanks for sharing all the questions and answers that I never even thought to ask, but wanted to know. 😂
I always think those Q&As are helpful...people ask things that I wouldn't have thought to elaborate on!
Received my Cali & Co fabric, ready to sew!
Yay!
I'm doing your Scrap Basket Stars pattern with a jolly bar, stash fabrics, and your Just the Blues packet. Having a blast!
That sounds wonderful!
May I say I adore you? You are sunshine indeed
This is so nice of you to say! Thank you!
Oh my gosh!! I did not know about the punch and zoom!!! Great tip!!
Isn't that handy to know!
Love Cali and Co! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Corey!
Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
Another fun video! My LQS just received Cali & Co. I’m looking forward to seeing it “in person” and joining you in this BOM!
We're going to have such fun with the mystery BOM. =)
I'm looking forward to the Mystery BOM! I just received my bundle & I'm glad I get to enjoy that pretty stack for a few months before I have to break it apart!
They are fun to look at for a bit, aren't they. =)
I got my Cali & Co jolly bar from FQ the other day and it is beautiful. Love the pattern that came with it. Probably will be an after Christmas project especially since not all the different fabrics have been released.
I think it's such a beautiful collection to use in the winter...I like some sunny brights when the days are sometimes dreary. =)
FYI. I WATCH EVERY SATURDAY. Today “subscribe “ came up. I never “unsubscribed”. Might want to tell your other viewers. I don’t know why RUclips does this. Yours is not the only channel this has happened to. Blessings
Cali & Co. is such a fun collection. I am looking forward to the Mystery BOM and I have ordered the FQB for this project.
We’re going to have so much fun with the Mystery BOM.
I just got more of the peachy keen light ditsys, I see them playing nicely with the lighter cali and co prints. (I got a charm pack & already added them into a quilt top.)
Those little prints are always so handy.
I tried the pinch and zoom! I didn't know I could do that. Thanks so much for the tip! ❤
You are very welcome!...I don't think many people know you can do that. =)
Need to find your blog yo find all the information. Love your BOM
All of the links are in the description box below this video.
Love them all!!!!
Thank you!
Ooh, the pattern in your Oh Happy Day book would be gorgeous with those solids!
The cover quilt from Oh Happy Day used some of them!
Can’t wait for your mystery quilt. I already received my Cali & Co fat eight just waiting for the yardage!
It shouldn't be too much longer!
Thank you for making my day! We came home from a fabulous vacation with a nasty little bug…yep, Covid is in the house. I was feeling so blah until I saw your video. Such happy colors! I like them so much I had ordered them twice from FQS😂 I bought the half yard bundle so I will be able to make mine large enough for a bed size quilt…still deciding on queen or king. And, I purchased the Designer mystery set from FQS too. I think I really love this one!
Nicole, or whomever did the set design, great job!👏👏👏 Such a pretty fall set. Love it!
Thank you for all you do and for sharing your finds of free patterns. You really are so sweet and we all appreciate all you do to support us and help us along our journey.
Oh no!...I hope you all feel better soon. =) I always think this time of the year (especially over the holidays) can be a very germy time of the year!
Can’t wait. I do have a Cali and Co FQB but since the QAL suggests F8, I might use one from my vault…Lulu Lane. What do you think? There are a few larger prints I can pull out and throw in a few more prints from your past collections or solids too.
That would be pretty!...and yes, it'll be so easy to add some other prints in with that bundle if you want to.
I love the All Around Star quilt pattern. I see that it calls for a layer cake but I have a HUGE stash of mini charm squares. Could it be done with 2.5 inch squares?
Thank you! No, it wouldn't work using mini charms. =)
Looking Forward to Joining in on The Fun😊 Your Cali & Co fabric shouts HAPPY❤ Sherbert Town would be reminiscent of Charleston’s older homes!
All Around Star Quilt would make a beautiful QOV
It would!
Good morning! Ordered the fat eighth bundle! Looking forward to it!
Yay!...we are going to have such fun. =)
Oh please do release the sherbet quilt pattern you mentioned. Sounds fun. I do not usually work with all solids, but would like to try it.
Working with solids is quite fun.
Colors are beautiful ❤
Thank you!
Thanks Corey
Can you give suggestions for color families that would work for this quilt along using scraps. I have so many scraps but I like my scrap quilts to be "planned scrappy" rather than totally random.
Do you have a favorite color palette you'd want to work with? Or, if you have a larger scale border fabric, you could pull fabrics that would coordinate by first choosing your border fabric. If you are using a smaller color palette, let's use yellow/gray/blue as an example, I would suggest using a variety of lights and darks within each color. The blocks have potential to use quite a few different prints within a single block so you want to make sure you have a nice variety. So you'd use light blue through a dark blue and the same for your yellow and gray shades.
Looking forward to January!!
I think it's going to be a lot of fun! =)
These are beautiful fabrics. How do you come up with a name for your new fabric lines?
Usually, I'll start calling a fabric collection by a certain name as I am working on it.
QUESTION---if I choose to make a table topper, what batting do you suggest.. Is quilt batting too thick? I want to put on on my dining room table and wonder if dishes would be tipsy on a topper using quilt batting....also...looking forward to your sew along!
I use the same batting as I would on my quilts. A low loft batting works well.
love that this upcoming QAL is scrap friendly. Will the mystery blocks work for Starberry? I have 3 quilts and still scraps leftover, so could make with both Cali &Co and Starberry?
I think it would be pretty in Starberry and my thoughts would be pretty similar to how I answered the question about using Sunwashed fabrics during the viewer question portion of today's video.
@CorianderQuilts of course heard that question after I asked. Thank you!
Ooh, when i get back from cruise can finally order cali+co. Thankyou so much for all of this. And now i am thinking do i need a jolly bar also?! 😊probably. Hugs, Chel 🌸
Have fun on your cruise!
Fun video this morning (as usual). Will the pattern releases for the mystery block of the month sew along that begins in January be free?
Yes they will be. =)
I purchased the Cali and Co on preorder from my quilt shop. I purchased a fat quarter, will I have enough for three? I have three daughters and I planned to fix three blocks at a time.
No, you wouldn't have enough for three. A fat eighth bundle (what the pattern calls for) would be 1/2 of a fat quarter bundle.
@ Thank you, I have a lot of scrap fabric, maybe I’ll do one scrappy
Ooooh! I love Cali and Co! Thanks for showing them to us. I have a question for you. Where do I find the sweatshirts that you and Eloni design? Good for Christmas gifts. Thanks!
Thank you so much! If a sweatshirt I am wearing is for sale, I will have it linked in the description box below the video. If it's one that Elonie or I designed, that link will take you to the listing in the Coriander Quilts Merch shop.
You are so so kind to mention my comment. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Thank you for leaving it! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. =)
Good morning love your quilts beautiful, you are very talented. I have a question, the new bom is it beginner friendly?❤❤
Keep watching!...That's one of the questions I answer in the viewer questions portion of this video. =)
Looking forward to spending 2025 with you and your fabric!
We are going to have such fun. =)
Put video on pause, tap the phone scree & the pause overlaid mark will disappear. Then, pinch and zoom... great for taking screenshots of a particular part of the design you msy want to study, later!!!
I would like to do your blog month pattern. I don't blog and I don't even know how to start to blogging. Will these patterns be available on your RUclips channel. Also I have two packs of 5 inch squares all in blue, is a 5 inch square the size I would need for any of the pieces?
I enjoy your channel very much. Thank you for all that you do
😊
The patterns will be downloadable PDFs on the Coriander Quilts blog. Off the top of my head, I don't believe you will need 5" squares for any of the blocks.
@CorianderQuilts thank you.
Corey, do you think this Mystery Quilt BOM could be completed as a quilt-as-you-go quilt?
I'm not as familiar with quilt as you go so I can't say for sure. The quilt will have pieced blocks, pieced sashing, and borders. Does that give you enough info to know if it would work for you?
@ if the quilt uses sashing to connect the individual blocks, I might be able to convert it to quilt as you go. The borders may need to be adjusted as well as the sashing. I just might give it a go. Thanks for answering my question.
Can’t wait!
I tried several times to download the Leila Boutique Giving Season Pillow pattern and it will not work. It seems to be stuck in a loop. Can you help?
I just tried the link and PDF and had no trouble. Maybe try on a different device?
I loved seeing all the quilts remade in your new collection. I noticed that you have folds set in your quilts from storage. How do you remove those wrinkles? (I have some in my quilts too.)
Have you washed them? That should get rid of them for you. I’ve also given quilts a quick iron to remove creases. There are ways to store them (rolled or folded differently) that won’t crease for you if you prefer no creases.
@ I may be old fashioned, but I am reluctant to wash things unless needed for cleaning. My dear mother-in-law felt it wore things out quickly. Can’t shake that conversation! I will happily try the other 2 options first and then maybe gently rinse my quilts out if needed. Thank you, Corey.
@@pamcrouse5757 It's important to use a method that works well for you! Steaming is another option that I didn't mention...I haven't tried that but it should work well. If you don't have a steamer, sometimes an iron can provide enough steam if you have an iron that can steam without touching the quilt. Or throwing the quilt in the dryer with a wet rag and running it for a short time would probably steam the creases out as well (this is a method I use on clothing when I don't have the time to iron...I can throw them in and keep working on something else and let the steam get rid of the wrinkles). But regardless of all of that, yes!...there are options to fold that eliminate creases which sounds like it might be your best bet. =)
@ you are so helpful, Corey. Thank you for all your expertise.
@@pamcrouse5757 You're so welcome!...if you have any other questions, let me know. =)
Good morning
Good morning to you too!
❤
How big is the mystery quilt
Sherbet Town should sounds pretty.
I think it’s a fun quilt.
😂 lol oh my I just got the reference in the name 🤦 Cali & Co calico
You got it! =)
I am notable yo find your blog our the information on the mystery BOM for 2025
Both are linked in the description box right below this video.
