Tried Tekkna and very, very impressed. It’s very sensitive and surprisingly good on a noisy area of a field I was on, picking out the non ferrous in a heavily contaminated iron strewn area. Great job, thanks Gary ❤

I worked on few programs before.
Be honest. Tekkna program is the best. . I been on pasture , stubble fields and surprised me all the time. . Not possible to missing targets.

Hi Gary, used the Tekkna a few times and loving it, its sonar on steroids. already found a Henry V111 sovereign penny, roman fib, silver Vicky belt ring and a Charles 1 rose farthing, all pretty rare in my part of Cornwall. Iron and coke are unmistakable and the good targets just scream at you. Cheers and keep the new progs coming please 🙂👍

Awesome video as always Gary. Put Tekkna into my deus 2, and I’ve got to say, it’s fantastic. Your absolutely right to dig the wobble tone, the one you think is it junk, or something good, well I had a couple of buckles with that tone, and a lovely Roman coin with a sweet 55 tone, so thank mate for tekkna. Thanks Gary for sharing.

When I use Discr. in 3-tones it's an iron tone regulator.
Discr 20 gives iron tone up to 20 etc.
What you have found in full tones with Discr. 42 is very exiting. I will surely test it this season! 🥰👍.

Only use disc 42 in full tones or you may lose good targets.
I used it for the first time last weekend and it was brilliant I found loads and loads with it and even a little silver.So I'll be sticking with it for a little while 👍

I used the Tekkna program on a field, already detected with an ORX/elliptic coil. Now with the Deus II/Tekkna I'm still finding coins and tiny stuff. Thanks for sharing these settings. 🙏

In and used it I got my 1st Saxon with it last weekend and a couple of hammered needs more hours to get totally used to it but it doesn’t miss much

Best program by a country mile,took the d2 out after work on a pasture for couple hours,31 coins,a button,and a few bits of trash and ring pulls.But to me,it's the way it cuts through ferrous/non ferrous targets.I've always increased discrim on factory programs at say 15,but this 42 wow.

Just a (possible) Pro-tip on that camera issue mate: If your skin-tones are switching wildly, then the cam may be 'Auto White-Balancing', (depending on what's in shot at the time). If this is the case, you need to 'Manually' switch it to 'Outdoor' (usually given with a Sun '🌞' icon...). Hope that helps matey... B 🙏

The GoPro has always been my Nemesis.
It looses so much footage due to software crashes.

Funny you should say that about losing footage - I was with a cameraman once, on a Sky Sports shoot, an' we plugged his GoPro media into my MacBook. And, (after a full shooting day), there was literally *No* footage whatsoever! (Was a lovely day to be a sound guy, let me tell you... 😆 😁). 🙏🙏

Tried it out Yesterday , Theres some black Magic going on there what a Program I do believe it will have a whole new following who used a certain program on the Deus 1 10 out of 10 Mr Blackwell ,
It did also find me some Roman coinage small and large 👍

Great video and demo! I'd like to ask though, what program would be best for gold and smaller jewelry detection? With air tests the Mono program was the best, but I'm unsure if it's a good idea to search a park with the mono program. Thanks in advance!
This question has no answer as it is down to the individuals audio choice, ability and the ground conditions.
This is an amazing programme, I've been using it a lot lately. One thing I have noticed is that the machine started falsing more than usual on the bazalt rocks I have in my area, it doesn't do that on the other programmes, but the falsing sound is easy to identify. I guess that's what happens on hot programmes anyway.
Thanks for the info OTF, you could always notch out troublesome target ranges.

Hi Gary, I tried the Tekkna programme and it worked well for me. Permission was rubbish though. The only thing I couldn’t find to set was the Offset?? Where is it?

with the gorpro i tend to find if your in the sun the go pro struggles to proses the bright light especial when the sun is behind you .. i tend to have the camera pointing slightly down the way as the lens can get flooded with light thus affecting the processor.. what bugs me the most is the shut down and over heating .. i have the GP 9s and 10s .. .. but yes they are unstable at times and it has always been the way .. great when they work . maybe an update is required ..

Please tell us about the Halo Effect. And how does this affect the search, and what should be done? Thanks.
The halo effect is mainly from wet ground. Some use this term for corroded Iron.
Regarding the wet ground, nothing out target ranges around 23 can work on the Deus 2.

Hello Gary, I tested it yesterday in a field saturated with iron that I have been raking for 15 years, which means that there is almost nothing left to find since it is not plowed deeply. I still found a few small fragments of objects in a particular area where for years I haven't had any sound with the Déus I. So for me it's an effective program.
My question is, would the Tekkna be effective in the forest because in my area there are a lot of them. Does setting the responsiveness to 2 and lowering the frequency risk rendering the program useless? If you have any advice for adjustments in the forest, I'm all ears :)
Always experiment on your land, lowering the reactivity and raising the audio response will offer more dynamics on a quiet site

Great video as always Gary. Tried Tekkna the other day but unfortunately on my machine running 1.1 for whatever reason the discrimination works normally and just gives me an iron grunt below 42 so wasnt ideal for me. Very strange but hey ho 🙂
Something is wrong then, did you use Sensitive FT as a baseline.
I gave it another try yesterday and it worked perfectly so no idea what happened the first time. Actually found my first gold with it too! 😆 I am a convert, thanks Gary! 👏🏻

What do you think about lowering frequency to 24 kHz - will it have an impact on discrimination with this Tekna program?
A lot of tiny trash like small pieces of aluminium wire catching all the time. Also I keep digging rusty nails - they come to sound very sweet... Any tip's how to avoid those?

I have used it on ver 1.1. Somehow the higher tones seem "brighter". Don't know how.

If you make the discrimination 99 the lower numbers would be sound not like iron but higher and had different tones too

Hi, I have tested your Tekkna program for several hours now and it works wonderfully. But to understand the whole thing, the disc in full tone mode is actually just a tonebreak setting or is it a real disc?

Please guys...do not raise your disc to 40+....it should be set at 5.8 maximum especially in iron ....targets come up as low as 6 in iron and that's why setting it at 5.8 is so important 👍
