Usually the one thing that ruins crossovers is that they often feel one sided. Game A and Game B can crossover very well, but it's not as appealing when it feels more like Game A then it does Game B or vise versa. With this game however, instead of trying to balance the feel if both games, they went another route to make it it's own thing. They took Game A and Game B to make Game C. It's not a Mario Game, and it's not a Rabbids Game. It is it's very own experience with balanced elements from both series.

"Bowser has a sort of wholesomeness to him" - Hence him even being an option as Nintendo's Parental Controls mascot. I mean, sure, him and his son are the only parent/son combos Nintendo has who are instantly recognizable as parent and son, but if he wasn't wholesome, or couldn't be seen as being a good dad, I can't see them going for him as their Responsible Parent archetype for the animations and infographics for what the parental control app can do.
One thing I'm pleasantly surprised by about Arlo's videos is that the comments sections are actually pretty good most of the time because people are posting actual thoughts. From what I've seen, at least. I just hope I don't get proven wrong in the near future.
People who want to say negative things are smart enough to know there isn't much point, Arlo's gimmick surpisingly works well in keeping his audience in check. Also it wouldn't surprise me for a second is most of his audience is kids and teens! :/

I was stating that the humor that they used, in this case slapstick, is a lot like The Three Stooges in terms of how they approach it. It comes from the Rabbids having either conflicts with other characters, the objects around them, or themselves. There IS a difference between saying something is like or in a similar vein of something and actually comparing something to something else. How about taking the time to actually read and understand the comment instead of just glancing over it and responding first?
Everyone is praising this game, I'm actually seriously considering purchasing it. Good on Ubisoft and Nintendo for coming together and creating such a weird and genius product.
I got mine early and there's just so much content and hidden things. There's also a bit of replayability in that you can replay the first world to unlock things you couldn't get before. I recommend it.
Zack154 That's an over assumption. I don't think Ubisoft hates Rayman. He's just not the Cash Cow the company was hoping for. Rayman Origins and Legends were well received but sold very poorly. Add the fact that Assassin's Creed and Just Dance are more popular Ubisoft franchises alongside Rabbids and you have a company that walks a fine line between EA and Konami.
LAMYRAL I do think this game looks really really good, I just dislike Rabbids. It's what turns me off from buying it, and would probably limit my enjoyment of the game
I'll take a Mario tactical game. Why not? To me, it's just a Mario game with some new weird guests, since I've never payed attention to the Rabbids or Rayman.
Smash Bros was not a risk. The game was going to originally have unique characters, but they decided to use existing characters to make it more appealing.

I'm one of the few that actually loves Rabbids but even I was initially taken aback when I saw this game. I'm happy to say it's the best tactical game i've played in quite some time. I also haven't smiled so much at a game in a long time. I hope this opens new doors for games not just on the switch but future nintendo consoles as well.
I mean, I liked rabbids *at one point* before this game. Back in Rayman Raving Rabbids they were evil little psycho goblins and that was all in all a pretty good fit. I just hate that since then they've basically become minions.

And even then they were still entertaining due to their style of surrealism and physical comedy. I always thought the main thing that makes Mario with funky guns not seem so out of place is because Smash Bros prepared everybody. Smash Bros. the series where it's ok for every Nintendo character to grab a gun item and blast the living daylights out of each other.
Those kinda people wanting a face reveal are the same kinda people who would open up their Christmas gifts a few days prior to Christmas, just because they hate fun and surprises.
I gotta say, my favorite part of this game is the way Luigi walks. He doesn't walk like Mario or the other character or even the Rabbids, he's got that Luigi's Mansion stride going on and I love it

This game looks really fun actually. I think the reason it's so appealing is because you can do so much in a turn. The opposite was kind of the reason I never got into fire emblem. It just wasn't involved enough for me and it felt too slow. But the struck the perfect balance in this Mario Rabbids game. Definitely gonna try it out.

From what I've noticed, the best cross-overs in video games are the ones that shouldn't work. Kingdom Hearts is another big example.

This game looks really fun actually. I think the reason it's so appealing is because you can do so much in a turn. The opposite was kind of the reason I never got into fire emblem. It just wasn't involved enough for me and it felt too slow. But the struck the perfect balance in this Mario Rabbids game. Definitely gonna try it out.

Considering that Disney and Final Fantasy characters work well together, it does not surprise me that Mario and Rabbids work well together.

What really sold me on this game is when I heard the soundtrack was composed by Grant Kirkhope. I'll buy anything with that mans name on it.
