Funny! I have the OG MC9 and I've been toying with the idea of getting the MC9 LS, figuring I could always make the L by using my OG slide on the LS frame. I hadn't considered putting the long slide on the OG frame, but that's definitely an option!
It falls in between the P365 xmacro (5.2 inches tall) and the M&P 2.0 Carry Comp (5.5 inch tall) all are 17rd and the MC9LS is less expensive than both even when you get it with red dot included. Kind of a no brainer
@@S.0.G comped carry guns …I don’t know if I love it…the idea of a carry is reliable self defense , god forbid u gotta use it. Comped guns are not the most reliable. @PEWPEWNATION quick thought, you should do a printing comparison for these. If it's about the same for the L and LS and the LS actually has less recoil then me personally I'd opt for the LS. No worries if that's not worth your time, figured I'd request it anyway 😊
50% i’m sure that is a stretch. I can’t wait to shoot it. I felt the MC nine was a great firearm with a lot of snappiness and recoil but still very accurate. This long slide with the bigger frame looks like the perfect Canik.
Grabbed one of these and wasn’t much difference from standard Mc9 to be honest just more comfortable in the grip for guys with bigger hands…good gun though.
I'll just wait and buy the LS slide when it becomes available and put it on my mc9. Edit: To balance the weight, you can get a Taylor Freelance brass backstrap.
@@noxeman2010 when did you buy your mc9? I keep hearing of three issues: failure to feed failure to fire and failure to return to battery I know the spring fixed one of the problems (nato rounds 124 gr vs 115 gr) or keeping it cocked back but the other two, not so sure. I wonder if theyve since fixed these issues
@pizzapozz7733 Mine had those problems because it was from the first batch, even though I bought it about 4 months ago. Century Arms sent me the spring, but I haven't received it yet. I fixed the spring myself and polished the barrel, and it's working flawless so far. I'd buy the Canik mc9 LS over the regular canik if I were you.
I love my MC9. Canik makes a full baseplate 15 round mag, and I highly suggest dropping Caniks 90° flat trigger "Rival trigger" in it, and you'll really enjoy it.

First time here! I was looking for information about the new LS version. Hopefully I can find a review comparing this gun and a p365 Macro.. ( non comp version)
Canik Actually made your perfect gun (Almost) [this would be my Perfect gun too], but I can't find it anywhere. It is called the METE SC. Same frame as the MC9 with a longer slide with a barrel length of 3.6", 91.5mm (MC9 barrel is 3.64" 92.5mm) also takes the same 12 and 15 round magazines as the MC9.
Do any Canik 15 round mags fit in the LS? Colorado has a limit of 15 rounds per magazine sadly, and if there is a 15 round magazine, could I swap the LS magazine baseplate onto the 15 round magazine? Or should I just get a different Canik? Sorry for the questions lol 😂
We are just going to bypass the failure to fall into battery after racking!? I had the MC9 standard and absolutely loved everything about it. BUT I had to send it back due to failure to feed hollows and not locking into battery. So I just couldn't trust it enough to carry.
I picked up my MC9LS this past Saturday. Am I the only one that is having trouble racking a round from both of the mags, fully loaded, that the gun comes with? I ask about the mags specifically because i tried my other mags from my SFX on it, and it runs perfectly fine.
MC9L: The ergo's must be terrible. Because the handle looks like a piece of wood. They didn't shape to fit the hand or anything. not like Sig, Springfield, Glock or even S&W
Actually, it feels amazing in my hands. Has a slight mag well that holds your pinky and the undercut at the trigger gaurd pulls your middle finger right in. Points very naturally and perfectly.
I own MC9 and I am happy with it. But if I were to buy it now, I would definitely choose a long slide with a short frame if that was available as a one gun. Ultimate concealability with additional shooting comfort. Not to mention the extra performance for those expanding self-defence loads. I may even consider buying the LS and have four pistol configurations available to me some time in the future.
As a METE MC9 owner I say buy the LS and then end up with 4 different pistols.
17+1= mc9L for me, great video, thx
Thank you for helping me make my decision.

I rode the slide a bit so it didn't fully seat the round in the chamber. That little slap on its ass got it in there though.
