I'd argue reliability before shoot well. You can learn to shoot a gun better. But if you're really good at shooting an unreliable gun it doesn't mean much.
@@Fart2Toots i was actually in that situation. I had a shield that had feeding issues and problems with light primer strikes. Loved how it felt in my hand, fun to shoot. But it wasn't reliable. Got a g2c instead and it hasn't malfunctioned yet. Doesn't feel as good in my hand but it goes bang every time.
@Direwolf1166 I've been carrying a shield 9C for years, thousands and thousands of rounds. We have a standing "date night" which is going to the range and throwing 200-500 rounds each, every... single.. week. Ive run everything through it. Reload myself and tried a hundred different powder/coal/projectile weights. I've NEVER. Literally NEVER. not 1 time. ever. Had a problem with that pistol. Never. Literally never. That's insane. It's been dead nuts reliable and why I still carry it to this day even having a handful of other options. 15+3 mag extension and then a 17 rounder with a xgrip on it as a back up. Oh hey!!! I have those Hyve mag extensions🤣
As a competitive shooter and a trainer, one nuance I would add is that shorter guns aren't "less accurate", they are "harder to shoot accurately" for a person. If you put a G26 and a G34 in a Ransom rest, they will shoot almost the same size group. It's just more forgiving with a longer sight radius.
Yes. I live on a farm and can easily hit a man sized target at 100 meters with my Glock 26. I shoot a lot. I just gradually moved farther away from the target
@@InfamousTub No, it's technically true as well. Just about any stock pistol with a 3" barrel in a rest will shoot groups very similar to something with a 4-5" barrel at 25 yards.
Exactly. That's why you have lifelong professionals hitting crazy shots with mouse guns. Their hands are so steady that the barrel, no matter how short, is straight on.
My mother is 82. For over 30 years she's had a S&W model 60. Recently she had it out and was having trouble pulling the trigger and pulling the hammer back. Arthritis and weakness are the problem. She has a Glock 43 now with talon grips. She loves it.
That’s awesome, my grandma is about the same age, she bought a shotgun in the 90s but never used it. In 2020 she wanted to learn to shoot I shot the 12ga and she would definitely have problems with that. She got a Walther pk380 and couldn’t get a proper grip on the frame with her arthritis. She also had the other common beginner issues with a pistol and as she didn’t want to shoot a whole lot but needed to more the best choice was a S&W MP-22.
Can she rack it? I am replacing my carry guns due to arthritis. I can't rack the little pistols or Springfields. Berettas are ok, czs, and 1911, for me but not my wife.
@James M. Hello James, no she's not able to rack the slide or load the magazine. But that doesn't really matter. She's homebound now unless I drive her. The important thing to me is it's comfortable and she can shoot it well enough to defend herself in her home. I told her not to worry about racking the slide or loading magazines. If she ever needed to use it for a "social" encounter, I'll be more than happy to drag away the carcass and reload for her. 🙂
Used to be a larger guy but lost 65lbs last year and now carry a CZ P10C AIWB with 17 round mag with no printing or discomfort. Took a while to perfect with clothing but totally worth it
Got a shadow systems mr920 with. Taran tactical +3 baseplate, in a sidecar rig with a 19 rd mag...the taran is one of thebsmallest +3 baseplate I've seen
A 43X MOS with a tiny Holosun 507K X2 red dot, Streamlight TLR-6 micro-light and a Shield Arms 15-round mag is a very compact solution for a nice shooter. Even better, there are plenty of great holsters out there that fit this gun config right off the shelf.
Biggest advice I can give about this, go to a range that offers gun rental. After you’ve narrowed down your options to 3-4 guns go shoot them, see how it actually feels when shooting, if it’s accurate, etc. Should only cost like $50 or less and will save you the pain of trying to sell the gun later after you shoot it and decide it’s not for you.
I wish it was that cheap. Where I live, the only range with rentals has a $30 lane fee, $25 rental fee per pistol, and you have to use the range's ammo at $25 per box (for 9mm!). So if narrow it down to 3-4 guns it's a minimum of $150+. Still cheaper than buying guns to try out, but a far cry from $50.
I did that for my wife. The range offered a large selection of guns at $20 a claiber, and buy their ammo. After about 250 rounds and 10-15 guns she chose a glock 42. I had it engraved abd stuff for her.
I highly agree. I have quite a few carry pistols and was thinking about adding a Sig 365 to my lineup. I rented it, and I did not like it at all. Much snappier than my 43x and even the 365 XL model was too.
No offense to any of your other videos, but this is one of your best and most useful videos for a new gun owner or a gun owner that has let the newest fad grab a hold of them in a while.
10mm Springfield XDM 4.5 in I think they got a 3.5 if you worried about a print that's my advice learn math and ballistics in Cross Research every single bullet ever made then think about capacity and when you do all of that for months and months and months and months and months like psycho like me then you'll come to the conclusions of the 10 mm bullet is probably the best in the world along with the Springfield XDM 10mm if you get your hands on one of the old ones I would do that and drop the hex Dragon site on the new ones that's just me God bless you and your family stay safe.

Carried CZ 75 since the '80s. Remember those? Still have it and carry it now and then. Switched to the CZ 75 P01 about 10 years ago. Just feels great in hand and accurate out of the box. Broke it in with minimum rounds. Love the P01!
My son and I have Taurus G2C's and absolutely LOVE them!! We've also tried the G3 and G3C and those are also nice. I still prefer my G2C trigger, though. It's a 12 round magazine, but you can also get a 17 round mag for it! I cannot say enough nice things about this firearm! While it has the external safety switch, I never use it. My finger is the safety.
I cc a G3c, I’m not a big guy, don’t weight much but I have found I don’t imprint at all with it. Especially running a claw with a concealment wedge. It’s the best bang for your buck and was my first pistol. Definitely recommend it. Taurus has definitely stepped up there game.
Agree 100%. As a smaller guy (5,6", 135), I carry my GLOCK 19 when I can - but I have to be more careful about what I'm wearing so that I don't print. But my Sig P365 pretty much disappears even when I'm in shorts & a t-shirt. Context typically drives my choice.
Lol, we are similar in size (you have 10 lbs on me) and I have a similar set up. Bigger Glock and the smallest Glock. I like carrying the bigger one when I can, but I can hide the little one in just about any attire.
I carried my gun for the last 5 years. 2 months ago I shot the Shadow Systems CR920. Wow, just wow, so I bought one. It made my old gun feel like a brick. Thanks so much Warrior Poets, you really know what you are doing
EDC & CCW is definitely a personal choice and relationship. There are people out there who genuinely believe if you don’t carry a G34 you’re going to die in a self defense shooting. Personally I carry a P365XL in the summer/spring and carry a G17 in the winter/late fall. Again, EDC is very personal! Spend time w/ the firearm you’re planning on carrying and shoot it often! Best of luck to everyone on their CCW journey!
I hate the term EDC because it's become so cliché over the years with people, but you are correct. What you choose to carry is a very personal choice and should be well thought out and thoroughly tested on the range and on your person as much as possible. I've worked in the training industry for a bit and prior service Combat Infantry so I've been exposed to crazy gunfights in unexpected places and I ALWAYS try to prepare my Shooters for the Mentality first. Don't be a "Cool" guy know it ALL. Be humble and learn, don't be afraid to ask and try! I was fortunate enough to have access to over 20 different rentals at my range and so I made my clients shoot a myriad of choices before steering them to my 3 or 4 top choices when it came to purchase and advanced training, post intro. I find that what works well for some doesn't work as well for others, so I encourage people to be open minded about what they like versus what works best for them and find them a happy medium somewhere in between. Steering them away from Glocks is almost a full time job though.
Ha… you do you. I carry M&P EZ9 year round. Slim, easy to conceal OWB. No problem hitting 6” steels at 30yds. Low in capacity so extra mags and mag change practice. The pierce mag extensions were a game changer. Just that extra little bit to get my pinky wrapped around nicely.
My threat analysis back around 2001 changed. I converted to a G19 from a six-shot revolver with a 3" barrel. I have a lot of time on the G19, and boat loads of rounds through it. I try to train twice per month or more. I have two G19 guns now, so I have a replacement. I have a bunch of other guns I have tried but I don't carry them and many others that were sold and went away. I spent 28yrs in the Army and many of my friends kept telling me to try a Glock. I hated the way they looked and all the other stuff negative about them. However, I am results oriented in my thinking. I did very well with the gun. On the ranch here in South Texas, that G19 goes on the hip every morning, and comes off at night. We are 60 miles from the border. It is the wild west down here. Nobody in the county goes unarmed, even when going to town for groceries or livestock supplies or church, and nobody worries about concealment. All the ranchers carry a long gun in their truck ALL of the time. Liked your video, John. All of your points are spot on. The belt and holster are the foundation for safety. I agree strongly ref the external safety issue. Happy New Year to you and all the subscribers.
I don’t have the plus…I have a 2.0 Performance Center 9MM and I love it so much…I’ve tried at least a dozen other firearms, and have a little Hellcat…but nothing feels like a part of my hand the way my Shield does. It’s my perfect fit. And it’s RELIABLE! ♥♥♥
7:40 CZ P-10C is what the Glock 19 would be if Glock listened to its customers: more accurate, better trigger, and not in need of modification to the trigger guard (like on John's customized version) to correct a known and fundamental design flaw. I'm not a hipster, in my 20s, or have a thin mustache, but I do like craft beer. What does John prefer, Bud Light?
P-10 C also has better sights out of the box, and I prefer the grip shape/angle, but that probably has more to do with training and my hands than inherent ergonomics. Overall a big step-up to the G19, and I've never had an issue with reliability. I guess I need to trim my mustache and start drinking craft beer. Can't go back to my 20s, though...
Glock 26. If I could only have one gun, it would be a Glock 26 (9x19). Plenty of rounds in a small, accurate, reliable package. Lots of aftermarket. Inexpensive magazines. And you can put a 33 round magazine in it.
My 2¢ invest in xgrips uf you want 19/17 mags, ive nosedived rounds a few times torquing the grip and it pulls the magazine towards the back of the well
Great vid! But I do have to stand up a little for micro guns. I quickly realized I just wasn’t going to carry every day unless I could find something small. Sorry. Yes, I’m a woman, past middle age. But I did commit to training - and found a micro with honestly less kick than you would think, and I’ve learned to draw it fast, and have become quite a dead eye. 90+% on various scoring systems. My only point is to reiterate what everyone already knows… that you have to find something you will actually carry. Always. And for some of us it makes more sense to train hard with one gun than to have different guns for different outfits.
👍🏾. I got a pf9 when they were the smallest 9mm you could buy. It fits anywhere. Size makes it not a pleasure to shoot, though -- which John covered pretty well.
What you carry is a personal choice but for me the hardest part of concealed carry is actually carrying the thing day in day out and with that in mind a micro nine just makes it so much easier!
@Poco Rosso...it's your choice and good for you. At least you're carrying something. If it goes bang and spits lead vitamins for the bad guy to ingest I say "better to have one and not need it than to need one and not have it". Good on ya girl! 👍
Myself I've come to love the 365x, xl frame with 365 slide I believe, easy to conceal, easy to control, and good capacity. I've always had a hard time concealing the G19 size comfortably so it was a good compromise.
@@t.k.morris it’s a Griffin armament micro carry comp, forgot what site I got it at but has good recoil reduction for like $60 give or take. I have a short of the p365 build on my channel if you want to see it
Springfield Hellcat and Glock 43X top my list. I spent time in different gun stores comparing sub-compact 9mm models. I made sure I had a good grip and compared the sights and dry fired the triggers. I would come up from a holster position to a natural point on the opposite wall, then I would check the sights to see whether it pointed naturally for me. The best fit Sub FOR ME was the Springfield Hellcat: fastest sights to acquire, best trigger, highest round count/size, naturally pointing grip, best grip texture, and almost a micro/sub compact. [ I shot the Colt Ace and different 1911 models for two decades before I tried my hand at IDPA. I experimented with various Glocks and settled on the 19/23. The grip angle and the bump at the grip bottom conspired to naturally point a little high for me. I am not one of these guys that can flawlessly switch from two decades of 1911 (17*) grip angle with strait backstrap to the Glock (19*) grip angle and "arched" backstrap.] So how did the Glock 43X make the other gun at the top? It doesn't have as pronounced a bump at the bottom of the grip which, in spite of the 19* grip, doesn't push the front sight up to disqualify it at defensive distances. The Glock 19 has never been a comfortable Inside The Waist CC gun for me. Any blocky gun over an inch wide is an outside the waistband model for me. I have owned many Glocks. But then along came the 48, essentially the same length and height as the ubiquitous and number one recommended Glock 19! But the 48 is thinner, and I can carry it IWB! And it doesn't have the "exaggerated" point high bump at the bottom of the grip! And it's lighter weight! AND along came Shield 15 round magazines! AND there's the Glock 43x with a shorter barrel and slide! So the 48/43x are compacts that function as sub compacts! The width of 10 round single stack pistols with staggered 15 round magazines! I did a spread sheet comparison three years ago and nothing beat the 43x, with the 48 a very close second, in size/width/weight/capacity overall! The Hellcat is smaller, but the grip is almost too small, although it has excellent texture. The 48/43x have a great grip, size and feel. The 48 is better than the 19 for CC, and the 43x a little better yet, the best CC Glock in my opinion.
I went with the P365XL, and then bought the standard 365 grip module and 10-rd mag. Now when the weather warms up, I just run that smaller grip and magazine and get to keep the better sights, trigger and holster compatibility of the XL.
Get a holster with a claw. Makes a big difference. I had a nice one from we the people holsters but put a light on my 365xl, now I use a sidecar from T-Rex and it’s great
The “Shield PLUS” is what I carry. I love it 13+1 in a sub compact with “in my opinion” the best stock trigger you can get from a out of the box gun that’s around $500
Hk guy here, carry a P30SK and absolutely love it for a couple reasons. Hammer fired, so I get the crispness of a single action trigger with the safety of a double (yes you need to learn 2 trigger pulls and yes it takes longer. I don’t mind and have trained it for years) Also being technically a subcompact, it’s on the large end and takes standard p30 series magazines. If you want a short grip and max conceal ability use the flush fit 10’s, for more capacity it will take the 13’s, 15’s, and even the p30’s 17 or 20 rounders. For its size it shoots like a much larger handgun.

Very informative and inspiring. Here in South Africa we have THE highest crime in the world , yet obtaining a license to carry a gun is a tedious procedure that in my case at least ,took just under 2 years ,because … Don’t give up your freedoms in America for no one as ultimately “saving a drowning person is the responsibility of the said person “
Thank you! We have too many people here in America that have no clue just how free we are. Too many think gun control would be a good idea, they obviously have no clue what it’s like anywhere else. They’re too stupid to realize strict gun laws only help criminals and do nothing to reduce crime.
I carry a shield plus also with 507K RDO. Great ccw gun. New M&P trigger is incredible. And I just heard that the new 15 round EZ equalizer magazines work in the shield plus.
Thank you for making this video. A guy in my church just asked me to recommend a pistol for his wife. Just sent him this video, so all his problems will be solved and they will live happily ever after in 2A bliss. Thanks Warrior Poet Society!
I subscribe to the philosophy that if you do not buy her purses or shoes, do not buy her guns. have an idea of what is reliable and accurate, but ultimately, let her pick it. She is more likely to shoot it, more likely to carry it.
Well John has a biased against 1911s. I recommended several women the Springfield EMP 1911 in 9mm .and they love it and shoot it well and the trigger is the best
@@TheRealZJE313 It is hard not to shoot a 1911 accurately. Either the individual just can't shoot pistols or is trying to mess it up. John Browning got all the critical ergonomics right on that one.
Started carrying a J Frame Smith in my 1968 rookie year and continued w/the 340PD until recently. I p/u the LCP Max @ a gunshow a few weeks ago. When I got it to the range I was even more impressed w/it’s accuracy and ease of handling under combat conditions. I pocket carry in a holster w/one spare 12 round mag in my pocket.
Picked up an lcp max and appendix holster recently as an all day carry gun for work love it so far. It’s light enough that i can wear it all day, but heavy enough so that i know its there.
I’ve been carrying religiously for over 15 years and have tried everything from a tiny Ruger LCP to full-size Glock 17. Not to mention the dozens of holsters and belts. While size is definitely a factor, I’ve found that holsters and belts to be the determining factor of what I can carry comfortably. A good belt/holster allows me to carry a bigger gun more comfortably.

@@stanhry Thats why you should have options. You can carry a sub compact. On one day compact another and full sized when you want to up your game. I know several that carry, g34s I carry frequently a large gun 19+1. You just have to figure out what works for you.
Definitely. I've only carried for a few years but nearly gave up early on when it was much too painful. Thankfully, someone convinced me to give aliengear's shapeshift a try before quitting and that changed my life. More recently, I picked up an Kore Essentials belt and had a similar mind blowing experience with it. I'm sure there are many similar or even better products out there, but the point is a good holster will transform the comfort of your carry and a good belt (made for EDC) will transform your daily carry fatigue.
Dude, I'd love to spend a week learning how to shoot better from you. I love how you present the material in such a relaxed, fun manner. Heck, even just a day would be awesome! Keep up the good work!
I would too. Especially when he John see me running a 1911 for concealed carry both full size and Commander size in 45.cause after see his video of him running that 1911 Kimber .made me really piss off
I love my Springfield Hellcat Pro, great capacity 15+1, ergonomics (stippling in all the right places), 1in thick and 3.7in barrel. Plus a good bit of aftermarket parts and upgrades.
This issue with aftermarket parts is that each part you replace will mess with the reliability of the firearm. One part is enough to throw off the balance of the firearm. You could say that the part you bought is very reliable but that doesn’t mean anything if you combine it with a bunch of other aftermarket parts and haven’t tested it by running hundreds of rounds through it to see where it would fail like gun manufacturers do. This is why most will and should recommend that you keep your carry gun as stock as possible because you have an almost 99% accuracy to how it will function and how long it will last backed by rigorous testing by the manufacturers themselves and other reviewers.
I really want to see John run a Staccato. As much as he wants to dislike the 1911/2011 platform I just know he’d run a Staccato very well and have no choice but to love them!
He did which I thought was funny. He has videos that lead me to think he’s against them. I absolutely believe he’s handled a Staccato but I want to see him “run” one and review it.
As a carry gun though? Given his dislike of the mechanics of operating an external safety on his carry gun, hard to see how he'd ever go with a Staccato. Good competition/range gun.
Ehhh, I carry mine concealed often. The hammer and safety are never an issue. The only downside to carrying it concealed is the weight IMO. Staccatos are just great guns. If I ever was defending myself I’d choose my staccato over my Glocks any day.
Sig P238 is a super soft shooting gun for the size, and is really accurate. Of all the micro .380 pistols, that's one I would recommend because it's actually fun to shoot.
I feel the same way about my bodyguard. I added a pinky extension and magguts +1 (7+1). I'll normally shoot 250-300 rounds at a single range visit and feel like I could keep going. Doesn't hurt my hands at all unlike my Kahr cm9. The bodyguard is very accurate at self defense distance, 7-10 yards. I pocket carry in a DeSantis nemesis holster and my gun is on me at all times other than showering and sleeping. I dress how I like. I do have an og shield which I can pocket carry if I'm wearing certain shorts/pants. I have magguts +2 (9+1) in the flush mag. But it is significantly bulkier and heavier. I've tried iwb carry at every position with different holsters but it's just not for me. I do carry my bg with one in the chamber snd safety on. Swiping off the safety is just part of my draw. Alot of dry fire reps have made it instinctual. I'm 66, retired, and my lifestyle doesn't put me in dangerous situations at all. One thing I like about pocket carry is that I can have my hand in my pocket, on the grip of my gun, without anyone knowing the wiser. Federal hst's or Hornady critical defense are my rounds of choice. Some would say .380 is underpowered but it will definitely be an immediate attitude changer at close range, which is what a concealed carry gun is for. I'm an advocate of using what works for you, what you will consistently carry, and have trust in its reliability. I also like that the bg is hammer fired, less to go wrong. I've easily shot 2000+ rounds without a single hiccup. My local FFL was the person who recommended the bg, he carries one and I'm very happy he did. Stay safe.
Yes!! I bought for my daughter and she loves the P238; easy to rack and she is getting more and more accurate. I hear what he is saying about it being a ‘half 9mm’ and ‘weak’, but again, she is not trying to be a Marine sniper taking someone out at 500 yards or so; it’s for close up protection and still more powerful than a 22lr caliber pistol…. For me for CCW, I have the Shield 2.0 9mm and love it. I may get a 686+ in 2.5 or 3 inch for CCW; definitely can’t carry the 686+ in the 4 inch barrel I have now because too darn heavy but you can’t beat the load and shoot ease of a revolver….
@@deebee4575 It also shoots like a bigger gun. I HATE the way it looks, but I decided to ignore the aesthetics and carry the Shield because it's the right choice for me.
“Cone of ballistic hate.” Classic John! Many years ago, I used to be one of those guys, who would only carry a .45. As time went by, I realized (through training and experience) that 9mm is (IMO) a better overall round. Now I carry a P365 or a P365XL with light and red dot. This pair makes, what I would consider, a “perfect” sub-compact weapon system (parts interchangeability, some magazine compatibility, and identical manual of arms). And as John said, if you buy a P365 new, you’ll avoid those early produced weapons that had some reliability issues. Godspeed!
It’s not a better round. It’s cheap and easy to shoot that’s all 9mm is. Personally 45 is a better round as you can actually carry it in the woods. I’m a country boy so I have to think about 4 legged critters as well as the 2 legged ones. 45 covers all of that. Same goes for 357 mag. I think the tactical community likes to solely focus on shooting terrorists and active shooters that they forget that 9mm isn’t gonna stop that bear or cougar.
@@Fat_Thor_1138 9mm will put down a cougar just fine, and as for the 45...10mm is better at basically everything 45 has an advantage in. I switched over after looking at hard cast performance and hollow point. 45 is inferior to 9mm,10, and .40s&w as a hollow point round (where 9 is king after considering recoil) and outclassed in the hard cast by 10 completely. The .45 is an old tired round that served it's purpose well, but it's kinda a terrible choice for new guns.
The Shield Plus is a vast improvement over the original Shield 9mm. I had the first gen Shield and it was great in its own right but yeah, the Shield Plus is just that much better.
I can say that the best handgun purchase I have made "to date" is when I bought a Canik TP9sf the trigger is amazing it functions like a dream and it holds 18 plus one and the price was very good. I can pretty much hit what I want when I want. It's always good to hear different options. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@shrock1995 yes they can. METRO ARMS 1911S can they are made in the Philippines.its called the American classic and the American classic 2.the only thing is u don't get Red Dot mounting capabilities.and they also come in 9mm 1911
Carried the Shield for years and loved it. Switched to the 365 XL a year ago. With a Holosun and a TRL light and 15 rounds it’s my favorite gun to carry.
Shield has been my go to for years. but I think the threat is changing and it is wise to carry more rounds. So now I have a 15+1 plus a 17 round on on my belt minimum. going from 16 rounds to a minimum of 33 rounds.
Shield Plus hands down. I have tested everything else and they are too small and snappy or to big for me. Test the Shield Plus, is a game changer, right size and capacity and right weight.
I’ve got a Taurus G3C. First handgun I’ve shot and also owned. I carry every single day and it feels comfortable. I’ve put 250 rounds down range so far and haven’t had any jams or malfunctions. I’ve also become pretty accurate with practice and some help. My groupings are tight. Would love to get some legitimate training from the WPS team. Was happy to see you include the Taurus in here. Also I appreciate these type of videos a lot. Knowledge is power. Train hard train smart folks
I took the safety off mine and gorilla taped the frame hole. Hasnt caused any problems yet but ymmv so i won't reccommend anymore carry that way til you're sure if you hate safeties too
Try to get practice under duress. Do some jumping jacks and short sprints right before you draw and fire that elevated heart rate will change things drastically.
I think the glock 26 is one of the most underrated all around carry guns for edc. Can size it up or down due to the situation with all of the double stack magazine/extensions compatibility. I can get 15+1 w/ a SLR +5 baseplate in a smaller package than a G19.
the g26 isn't bad at all, but sometimes it's no better than a g19. If you carry inside waistband, a longer slide can actually make concealment easier, as it provides a "keel effect" that pushes the grip into your body. Especially if you use a holster wedge. You can also use a g17 or g19 holster with your glock 26 though. This is also why I hate the g19x and the p365x. Short slide + long grip is the opposite of what you want for concealment.
I'm a .45ACP man myself. The first pistol I ever shot was a .45 (Roger P-90). I've shot .40, 9mm, etc, and I just really like the .45ACP. As a bigger guy, I carry a full size (Springfield XD 5 inch barrel). I like the control i have with it and, through regular training, have become quite proficient. I sometimes print but its rare that anyone ever notices. The only time I ever had an issue is when I bought a box of some off-brand ammo that was really cheap. Several feed issues. Normally I keep Underwood hallow points in it except when I'm plinking.
When I started concealed carrying I started with the 43 seven round magazines. But when the 43x came out with a full length grip but shorty slide. I considered switching to that because it had 10 rounds but I didn't. Then Shield arms came out with a 15 round magazine that fit flush in the 43x. And that was the deciding factor. I got the 43x I carry 30 + 1 every day it's comfortable it fits in my baby hands and is very concealable. In my opinion the 43x is the best concealed carry gun on the market when paired with the shield as 15 magazines
John I understand your distrust of safeties, however if all your guns have safeties and you build it into your battery of arms it becomes second nature to you. I spent 22 years in the CG, (i know you have heard this before) I started with the 1911, and then made the switch to the Beretta's. We were trained to take off the safety as soon as the gun left the holster and was brought up into the ready position. Just saying if you train with it then you will not have a problem.
I agree. But you can only stick with one type of guns if you are trained with safeties. You will get mixed up if you carry 1 with a safety and 1 without.
Love all your work John, and I love how much the network has grown, keep it up. People call me crazy because I have many guns to choose from in the safe but I keep going back to the Taurus G3C (and the 856 if I'm just in the mood for a revolver). One thing I will say to anyone watching is that if you choose to buy a pistol with a manual safety and carry it, you need to train with that safety to where it's second nature, and if you're not going to train enough to get there then you should take John's advice and get a gun with passive safeties. When I shoot my thumb is always riding the safety lever, which I think gives me more control of the gun with one hand and it keeps me from riding the slide stop (I've heard other guntubers call this using it as a gas pedal).
Running a Canik elite sc for ccw for a couple years now that's kind of my "do all" defense pistol, no problem with getting hands around it, extremely accurate little gun. Too each there own.
GREAT pistol. I have an MR920 & just about (not quite - no M&P) every other gun he presented. Time & time again, I end up tucking my SC with an extended mag. It's ridiculously reliable, easy to shoot & flat out functions flawlessly. Don't get me wrong; I like my "Gucci" what nots & from time-to-time do carry the MR920 but 90% of the time - it's the SC. Solid choice, imo.
When I went shopping for a Concealed Carry (CC) firearm, I looked at several to get a feel for the grip, trigger break and other features as my hands are not large but they are thick and meaty. Do your research and compile a list of quality firearms before you go shopping. My list consisted of 17 to choose from and even though the store that I went to did not have every one of them on my list, I still had a wide variety to look at. Don't buy a SIG, Glock, Walther or Hellcat because John or Jane said so. _Find one that fits you as you will be the primary user of your next firearm._ After you have narrowed down your search from your list to just a few, only then can you choose by price, if that's what you wish, as you know that you will also have a quality firearm that fits your hands. I eventually decided upon an optics ready S&W Performance Center M&P9 Shield Plus with a 4" barrel for CC and I also purchased 2 more 13 round mags (it came with a 10 and 13 round mag) for when I'm at the range. I currently use the 10 round mag in a 10+1 with 124 gr JHP for EDC.
I'm a Glock and Springfield guy but I am so happy I picked up a p365 SAS. It took a few dry fire reps to get used to picking up the dot. 12+1 with a 15 rounder as backup, perfect grip angle, awesome stippling and a trigger pull that is smooth and crisp. It's not snappy like my 43x and Hellcat.
Same here my XL came with two 15 round mags and one 12 round mag. Plenty of ordinance. The Red Dot is a little difficult to find in a pinch but let's face it in a situation you're pretty much just going to point and shoot like the cops do.
Hello John, I believe a great carry gun is the Beretta px4 storm if you are still listening my 2nd carry gun is a waltherp99. Both are easy to shoot and sights are very good.
I rock the CZ P-01, my only complaint with it is the same thing I love about CZ, the recessed slide. I used to carry a Sig SP 2022 and would practice clearing jams, never had an issue with that standard Sig slide, as soon as I moved over to the P-01 though, I fucked my hand up a few times, slipping and slapping the rear sight. I shoot much better with the CZ then I do the sig, which is why I carry is mainly, but there is for sure a learning curve with racking it if you're not used to the smaller less accessible slide. P.S. I also have a weird hatred of striker fired, for some reason I go out of my way to use SA/DA hammer fired. I've shot them and I own one striker fired, but for some reason I can't get my self to carry them. Which is weird because both the P-01 and the SP 2022 lack a safety, so you'd think I'd feel safer running a striker with a safety, but a hammer in DA (decocked) and a thumb over the hammer on deholster or holstering feels better to me.
I love that the gun is fully at rest. I have the SP2022 and PX4 Storm and I feel more comfortable carrying them than my striker-fired pistols because the system is at rest. I know my striker-fired pistols have drop safeties and won’t go off unless the trigger is pulled but still…
I've been through a few carry guns. I've finally settled on the Springfield Hellcat, and the S&W 38 bodyguard as my go to carry guns. I needed a pocket revolver after I fractured my thumb on my left hand and couldn't load mags, or rack a slide with a hand injury.
Been shooting my G2c for years now 1,500+ rounds shot, amazing gun for the value! It’s never jammed on me and no issues (even after not cleaning 300+ rounds at a time), it’s been thrown around and through some dirt too - still shoots great. ESPECIALLY with a conversion kit from CAA it’s a lot cooler. Taurus makes me seriously consider their new tactical G3
I think that the best set up is a G 43x with the shield arms 15 rd mag. It's a good fighting size with a great ammo capacity yet not so big that its uncomfy or prints.
P320 also offers amazing modularity. I have my carry set up, and a full size compensated set up. 1 gun, 3 different calibers, and as many different set ups as you want.
I am in love with my SW Performance Center 2.0 9 mm….why? It is the PERFECT FIT for my hand…has almost no muzzle flip…doesn’t jam…easy to rack…and very slim and easy to conceal. I have a little Hellcat that conceals BETTER…but it is a not as comfortable in my hand and a bit snappier than I care for…my SW will always be my CC but I really love trying other firearms for range work fun.
John, you should try the 365 with a Wilson Combat XL grip. It is GAME CHANGING and doesn't add a heck of a lot of bulk at all. I even got the extended matching pinky rests for my mags and it fills the hand perfectly and took all the snap out of it when shooting. Shoots just as flat as my g19 does. Also, the wilson combat grip is only like 65 bucks... hand's down the cheapest and best possible upgrade out there.
I bought a brand new Taurus G2C a few years ago for $179 with a $25 rebate. Didn't have very high expectations but it has been excellent. Standard mags are 12+1 with aftermarket 17rds. Put steel night sights on it and I've put probably 1000rds through it with zero issues whatsoever. Just my experience...
@@mandapalque Last range trip I actually shot 200rds of White box with zero malfunctions. Two 100rd boxes. Also shot around 20rds of federal 9BPLE 115gr +P+ to see if it would have any issues and it ran 100%.
@mikepeterson2804 maybe you have a newer version of the G2C. When it happened to me, I went to the forums, and I was not the only one with this problem. I'm happy to know you don't have this problem. I decided to buy non hard primers' defensive ammo, and I don't carry it that often anymore.
@@mikepeterson2804 I understand, I was also very happy with it until the winchester white box ammo light primer happened. I only paid 220 out of the door. That gun is a lot of bang for the buck. But I can't not trust it 100% cz of this situation.
I carry the Taurus PT111, I’m bought new for $175 in 2014. Shot it as is for a few years, never had issues. Upgraded it with Lakeline products; single port barrel (0.2 inch increase), ss guide rod, ss striker pieces to replace the plastic pieces, and tritium sights; about $200 in upgrades. Only complaint is, it’s not ambidextrous. Looking at the Springfield XDm elite compact to replace my Taurus and will give my Taurus to my sister. I’m a three gun kind of guy; one pistol, one AR, one shotgun. I’m like that with shoes as well; one set of sneakers, wing tips, work boots (flip flops don’t count as shoes, they are essential; like underwear).
Love my 19x at 5'10 180lbs its easy for me to conceal at the 4 o'clock. I love the capacity it gives me, the larger grip with the shorter slide. It just works for me.
I've got years of experience carrying the Taurus G2C and my wife carries the G2S. I'm not crazy about the external safety, but I'll vouch for reliability. I've put a metric sh*t ton of rounds through it and utilized it in a couple predator defense situations, along with hours and hours of defensive training. Having said that, I'm going to be moving to the shadow systems cr920 soon. I'm in love with my DR920 War Poet, which is what goes in my battle belt.
I know its an old video, and you said you checked all of the firearms being unloaded. the p365 magazine definitely looks loaded with some type of ammo/snap caps (looks like ammo). Can be seen starting at 14:12-14:16
I honestly am an M&P guy. I prefer the grip angle over Glocks, and feel the triggers are a little better overall, which is important if we should not be looking at modding the guts. Also I am a big proponent of carrying tools that go above and beyond any torture you can put them through and M&Ps are just built tough like your grandpa's hand tools for no type of reason in my experience. It's a game of inches between Glock and M&P for me and M&P *JUST* edges out a win.
In consideration of this video and the fact that you think the M&P barely surpasses a Glock, you should seriously consider ShaSys. There's a reason he chose ShaSys weapons as his compact & sub-compact choices in the vid above--they are *far* superior to Glocks because they are DESIGNED to be. Regarding above-and-beyond torture tests, this YT vid ought to settle any questions. ruclips.net/video/qKAz5s_S-oU/видео.html
@@KravMagoo 500 rounds really isn’t a test, people shoot that in a single class. There are plenty of striker fire pistols trying to take the throne as Glock killer.
I carry a Taurus 605 in .357 mag every day. I am very fast and accurate with it out past 25 yards and I shoot it better than my full size semi autos (maybe not quite as fast but still fast enough). You are wrong about it being harder to be accurate. For having one gun that you know is always on you and comfortable to carry in any position a 5 shot snubby is hard to beat. Also if you learn how to master a double action revolver trigger it will make you a better shot with any pistol. I started with carrying semi autos and found my way to snubbies and I wont look back. They may not be for everyone but the issues that you have with them are subjective. Edit: this isn’t meant to be rude or personal in any way. I love your videos.
Bought my first pistol a couple months ago, Sig P365X. I swapped the stock frame for the Wilson Combat XL frame and carry it in a Tenicor Certum holster with a 15 round spare mag. Very convenient for appendix carry and perhaps one of the best all around pistols along with the 365XL. I would have bought the XL but only found the X in stock when I went to buy. Not disappointed with the 0.5 inch shorter barrel though. I'd maybe consider buying an XL slide and barrel if it didn't cost almost as much as the gun itself.
Agree. I have the x with the WC grip module. Awesome module, feels just perfect being a 1911 guy. Have over a 1000 flawless rounds through it. Great appendix carry gun. Disappears easily.
I'd personally recommend the Sig P365 over the Glock 43, and the Walther PDP (or PPQ) over the Glock 19. For revolvers, a Smith and Wesson J frame 637 or 642 Performance Center has a really light trigger pull, and is excellent for carry. The grip can be changed out for those with larger hands. It's a great choice IMO.
@@macgyver3434 that’s what I meant by runs. I run the Glock 43x and the 19. Otherwise I’ll carry a 1911. I don’t carry guns I won’t bet my life on. All the guns he mentioned were decent. I personally wouldn’t trust the taurus though
Springfield hellcat pro. Love it (and the u iron sights). Hot take here, I don't find the recoil to be noticeably different than my brothers sig 365. I'm convinced it's an online narrative
My wife begged for a Sig P938. I reluctantly bought it for her, thinking it was too small and hard to use. She trained with it a bit and is now surprisingly quick and accurate with it. I could try to upgrade her but, honestly, she’s comfortable with it and carries it without complaint. As we all know, the gun you carry is better than the gun you leave at home.
I think a cool video you could do is show how important *Training in person* with professionals is to marksmanship, proficiency of movement, speed, etc when it comes to shooting. *Edit:* You could take a new shooter who only has very minimal training and then have them go to a couple courses/training sessions and record the _Before_ & _After_ at say 10 yards with a pistol. I bet you'd see significant improvement in some/most participants.
I started with a Ruger EC9, my wife had a Ruger LCPII .380. She wanted something bigger (so did I, just needed the excuse 😂) I also wanted something with a larger capacity for my kit. Glock has established reliability (standard issue for most Law Enforcement) and cost effective so I picked us up a couple G19 Gen5's. I'm more comfortable with it than my Ruger, so it's my EDC.
I've moved away from the standard P365 and have moved the FCU over to a Macro frame with an XL slide. After thousands of rounds, I just didn't feel confident with it. The increased size of the Macro frame feels closer to shooting my full size guns while not sacrificing conceal ability.
i started carrying about 7-8 years ago with a M&P 9 compact, loved it but wanted to try others. got a P365XL with the optic on it, liked it but was a tad smaller. Went tried a S&W shield 2.0 and the grips were like sand paper, but i liked how it shot. Now i landed on what I love the most is the Hellcat Pro, perfect size, feel and everything about it for EDC for me.
I carry the Shadow Systems MR920 War Poet and my only regret is that I didn’t buy it over a year ago when it came out!!! I’m a bigger guy so I can conceal it easily. There’s not one thing I’d change on it. John and the guys at Shadow Systems absolutely nailed it👏🏼
I'm fond of 'Heavy Metal ' , the 1A) 1911 45acp Government or Sig 220 ; 1B) 1911 45acp Commander 2A) Beretta 92 or 2B) the Sig 229. I prefer dou carry , a 1911 as a primary edc for CQC with a 9mm as a secondary if I have the opportunity to enjoy and employ cover and concealment. I love the 45,but 90 or 95% of the time I dou carried two 9mm because one 9mm was so accurate it was my AT&T gun (reach out and touch someone) and the Beretta 92 was accurate enough for CQC.
I recently switched from the FN 509 to the Glock 43x for my EDC. I love it! It’s compact enough to conceal well, I shoot it accurately, and it’s not stupid heavy and causing my pants to fall off.
I agree with you most of the time, I mostly carry a Shield Plus with a 13 rd mag and a 15 round mag in sidecar but I have carried a Sig P938 many times 7+1 with 2 extra mags and I can shoot it well, with the flush mag 6 rd version it is snappy, but I have never used it.
I'm a fairly large guy (6' 1", 220lbs), I've always had a thing for 1911 45s. I had one in my younger days and loved it, but had to part with it because of financial difficulties. I bought another one a couple years ago, much nicer than the previous one. I put a muzzle brake on it, decided I still love it, but it definitely wasn't what I wanted for a concealed carry. A friend of mine recently showed me his S&W Shield 9mm with the thumb safety and I fell in love with it. This will definitely be my next gun! I know you are NOT a 1911 fan. Did I mention I am DEFINITELY NOT a Glock fan boy? 😆 If it was at all feasible I'd carry one of my dad's old Ruger 3 screw 4⅝” barrel 357 Blackhawks, but printing, luggage, etc.
P365x here, 14 round Magguts mag. Couldn't quite get a hold of it at first, but after training and weekly range time, I haven't found anything of that size with that round count that I shoot as easily and accurately. Recently added the Wilson Combat grip and it feels much more "complete" for me.
I love this channel. You always get rock solid information but you get the added benefit of John’s charisma. You have me smiling and nodding my head more times that I can count. Thanks as always
As a Glock person because of work, being a Glock and our departmental armorer, I like dome changes of Glock internals. We use a few changes from stock to include: Glock Night Sights, a minus connector combined with NY1 spring, marine spring cups, and a grip plug. The connector/spring combo gives a consistent trigger pull that just doesn’t break.
Those factory sights are the only complaint I have about Glock platforms. Second would be the grip texture, but that's a 'me' problem. My bare hands get sweaty after a few magazines though the grip seem to connect quite well when wearing gloves.
@@Kvasiraz: I actually like Glock Night Sights as they have the best warranty of any of the tritium sights out there. If you don’t like how the grips are you could try a generation three rough textured frame, (RTF) it is an extremely aggressive grip texture which was a lot grippier than gen. 3 and was mellowed out in gen. 4
@@Aznsensationify: I wouldn’t especially on a gen. 4 or gen. 5 Glock which has the double recoil spring assembly as they’re designed for a much higher round count and function life than gen. 3 and earlier. On gen. 3 and earlier a metal recoil assembly can make a difference especially in higher round count guns but then again a replacement assembly would make a difference in that case as well. Ultimately Glocks as designed are quite reliable and changing things can reduce that reliability but sometimes come with a benefit in exchange; some replacement items don’t reduce reliability at all and can simply make things run smoother, those can be worth doing.
I've been carrying concealed for over 20 years, and it's usually been with some form of 1911. The last 10 years, I've been carrying my RIA FS 1911 in 10mm. I'd argue reliability before shoot well. You can learn to shoot a gun better. But if you're really good at shooting an unreliable gun it doesn't mean much.
@@Direwolf1166 I agree, doesn’t do you any good if the gun doesn’t feed etc
Not technically true, but practically true, sure.
Martins prick has a point.

I have one but never rely my life on a no stock magazine. That’s why I’m considering stick to my g19 from now on and sell the g43x
Lot of people need to hear this!

I must say I love and have always appreciated John’s real world safety techniques and advice. Also for realizing that the world is not a classroom
I like how you promoted your Poet guns without really shoving them down our throat or belittling other guns. That was a class act. Thanks.
I sure differ from John on this.
I have a whole different view.

Carried CZ 75 since the '80s. Remember those? Still have it and carry it now and then. Switched to the CZ 75 P01 about 10 years ago. Just feels great in hand and accurate out of the box. Broke it in with minimum rounds. Love the P01!
P01 is my daily carry. My favorite pistol.
Same. P01 is the best of all worlds.
P-01 gun to rule them all!
We remember all the old guns in Cali because we can only buy guns on the certified handgun list. 🙄
Planning on getting a CZ 75 SP01 Tactical
Glock 26 is a niece piece. Plus the mags from your 19 can be used in the 26
I carried my gun for the last 5 years. 2 months ago I shot the Shadow Systems CR920. Wow, just wow, so I bought one. It made my old gun feel like a brick. Thanks so much Warrior Poets, you really know what you are doing

Walther PDP Compact with 507C, couldn't be happier
Can you tell me why you carry a bigger gun in winter? Im new to this and was thinking the same gun all year would be fine since 9mm is 9mm. No?
I realize there are a lot of Anti-Springfielders around, but I carry the Hellcat Pro. Love it.
I love the hellcat too... Just not sure i believe that they didn't know where their money was going
G43x is my EDC. 10 rounds is perfect and the grip is perfect stock everything is perfect and all around is perfect
I carry a shield plus. Absolutely love it. Very concealable, 13 + 1 capacity in 9 mm. Great feel. Absolutely love it
Same here. Love my Shield Plus for all the right reasons
The new equalizer pistol runs the shield plus magazine footprint. 15rd magazine that's just a touch longer than the 13rd mags.
Love my Shield +
It's not more accurate. You just happen to shoot the CZ more accurate. YOU!
My 2¢ invest in xgrips uf you want 19/17 mags, ive nosedived rounds a few times torquing the grip and it pulls the magazine towards the back of the well
Same, small enough to carry, big enough to fight with. I carry mine with a 12+1 Pearce Mag and a 15 round XGrip mag as back up.
It always makes sense to have one gun for EDC. When you're betting your life on a tool you have to know that tool inside out.
Different guns is alright, with enough hands-on experience and things.
Myself I've come to love the 365x, xl frame with 365 slide I believe, easy to conceal, easy to control, and good capacity. I've always had a hard time concealing the G19 size comfortably so it was a good compromise.
I have the same gun except x macro tax ops. 17rd. 4 mags. Back straps, and a magwell. More for the money!
365x is so snappy for me as a new shooter, gunna get an x macro instead, it’s not that fun to shoot compared to my m&p gun which is much bigger
@@tatedoh I run the P365X but with a threaded barrel and a comp, brings that snappiness down nicely
Which comp? Got a link?@@TazyBaby
I put a romeo zero red dot and extended mag on mine it's my new favorite.
Get a holster with a claw. Makes a big difference. I had a nice one from we the people holsters but put a light on my 365xl, now I use a sidecar from T-Rex and it’s great
Love my p365xl, especially with the extended mag.
Think I’ll do that with the P365 X Macro… may be cheaper than getting a P365X too
@@KILLLERBOB At this point I would also go to the macro. However, couldn’t be happier as the macro was not a thing yet when I purchased.
The “Shield PLUS” is what I carry. I love it 13+1 in a sub compact with “in my opinion” the best stock trigger you can get from a out of the box gun that’s around $500
Same here. I don't need any other ccw bcuz I'm accurate with it
The smallest gun that shoots "big"
100 percent agree. Out of the box its just pure magig. The trigger, grip angle, weight and how the grip is thin and rounded off its damn near perfect.
Shield plus and the hellcat variants are super underrated
Love my Shield Plus.
Hk guy here, carry a P30SK and absolutely love it for a couple reasons. Hammer fired, so I get the crispness of a single action trigger with the safety of a double (yes you need to learn 2 trigger pulls and yes it takes longer. I don’t mind and have trained it for years)
Also being technically a subcompact, it’s on the large end and takes standard p30 series magazines. If you want a short grip and max conceal ability use the flush fit 10’s, for more capacity it will take the 13’s, 15’s, and even the p30’s 17 or 20 rounders. For its size it shoots like a much larger handgun.
Always love WPS stuff....John and the boys continue to be my favorite guntubers.

Well said. I wonder what the shadowbanned comment below you says.
Sad what’s happening to Whites in South Africa. America has a lot of blacks too. Sucks
Saffa here as well, been waiting forever...
Love my MP Shield PLUS. Occasionally carry the MP 9 2.0 17+1, but that’s definitely more of a commitment when carrying.
I gave him a few suggestions and offered to take them to the range and let her try out several options.

Total weight is factor for some people. If it feels like a brink , it is being left behind.

@@stanhry Thats why you should have options. You can carry a sub compact. On one day compact another and full sized when you want to up your game. What ever you feel like have options get trained no excuses for not carrying in this day and age. I carried a glock 17 for my first year of concealed carry.
I took Pistol 1 & 2. Good stuff. Finally learned the proper grip and how to move and shoot.
Do you think he's never handled and shot a staccato?
Didn't he pull a 1911 off his waist in this video? lol
The 365x is my daily carry and I love it, 14+1 in a tiny gun is amazing.
Good to hear the Shield 2.0 is mentioned. I think the Plus is also a good choice given the higher capacity.
I have one, it's very nice! Not quite as nice as my VP9 but close!
The plus was the perfect goldilocks between fire power and comfort of cary/concealment for me
I love my Shield Plus. Easy to conceal and 13+1.

S&W Shield Plus is an excellent choice, and often overlooked.
I'm a Glock simp but messing with a Sheild, they have some of the better triggers I've ever felt

I own several Caniks and love them all. I switch between a Glock 19 and Sf Elite for EDC.
Yeah. Still not better than a 1911/2011 trigger. And that's from cheap 1911s on up

Carried the Shield for years and loved it. Switched to the 365 XL a year ago. With a Holosun and a TRL light and 15 rounds it’s my favorite gun to carry.
Shield plus has been my carry for the last 6 months but I just bought a 365 x macro think it’s gonna dethrone it
I just switched to 365 XL. I put a romeo zero red dot and extended mag it's my new favorite, too.
Shield has been my go to for years. but I think the threat is changing and it is wise to carry more rounds. So now I have a 15+1 plus a 17 round on on my belt minimum. going from 16 rounds to a minimum of 33 rounds.
I've had a p365 for about a year and I carry it every day. It's small but has a 10, 12 and 15 round mag that came with it and factory tritium sights.
I've been carrying the 365 X-Macro for a couple months now, slightly larger footprint with 17+1, easily manageable.
Shield Plus hands down. I have tested everything else and they are too small and snappy or to big for me. Test the Shield Plus, is a game changer, right size and capacity and right weight.
Me too.
@@rwally192 the safety switch isn’t an issue for me. I just keep it off and don’t even notice it’s there

G3 is way better than the g2, which wasn't bad at the time...
Petite grandma g26 myself. Winks got to replace the trigger thou.
I would say Beretta PX4 storm compact carry is too. Wish I would have got mine sooner
I'd like to shout out to my FN509C Tactical. Outstanding pistol a lot of people...mostly glock snobs sleep on.
I love the G26 it is definitely in my carry rotation…shoots great, compact and holds multiple capacity mags
43x with 15rd flush fitting shield arms mags are king
John I understand your distrust of safeties, however if all your guns have safeties and you build it into your battery of arms it becomes second nature to you. I spent 22 years in the CG, (i know you have heard this before) I started with the 1911, and then made the switch to the Beretta's. We were trained to take off the safety as soon as the gun left the holster and was brought up into the ready position. Just saying if you train with it then you will not have a problem.
I agree. But you can only stick with one type of guns if you are trained with safeties. You will get mixed up if you carry 1 with a safety and 1 without.
@@troytruong8246 I agree, that's why I said "if all your guns have safeties"!
I started out Glock, wasn’t the biggest fan of sig. got my hands on M&P 2.0 compact I freaking love this gun.
Love the wooby jacket! Also, i conceal a full size m17 with a full size x300. Not allowed to carry at work but no-ones noticed so far!
I like to pair Glock 19 & 26 they will shoot a 17rd extra clip. Set them up with same sights and triggers
I just bought that one today. I have the hellcat pro same size but caniks trigger is awesome.

New 17rd mags are shorter then the 15rd
Same! Gotta a Glock 23 Gen 3, and Springfield Hellcat OSP w/Hex Wasp micro. They both have been great.
Same here my XL came with two 15 round mags and one 12 round mag. Plenty of ordinance. The Red Dot is a little difficult to find in a pinch but let's face it in a situation you're pretty much just going to point and shoot like the cops do.
Lost my 43x to the SAS. The grip fits my hand better. The ported barrel greatly reduces recoil. Plus the factory 15 and 17 Rd mags work great.
A devastating round that reduces recoil is the Underwood 9mm 65gr or 68gr +P.. With a 4" barrel It zips along at 1,800 fps.
I have that exact setup and I couldn't agree more.
Another great video from Mr. Poet and Co. Thanks! The S&W Shield Plus is a nice 13+1 option.
New equalizer 15 round magazine fits in the shield plus. Looking at grabbing a couple.
P320 also offers amazing modularity. I have my carry set up, and a full size compensated set up. 1 gun, 3 different calibers, and as many different set ups as you want.
Good luck finding caliber exchange kits for one though! But yeah, a 320 with Wilson Combat grips is darn near perfect.

Shot hard primed ammo like WINCHESTER white box, you will get failure to shoot due to light primer strikes.

If the 19x/45 had been out when I started buying XDs I likely would've bought one.
Newer S&W shields triggers are definitely better than the original.

I ride with the Glock 43x. Slim, comfortable on the hip and dependable shooting. My edc.
Thanks man. I’ll go 9Mm for the conceal carry.

Wait, I thought Glocks were already perfect? Group think is a bitch!
thoughts on replacing with tungsten/metal guide rod? Any significant improvements for a EDC?
