One of the major problems I see is that people are UNEDUCATED about guns in general. Education about use and how dangerous they can be is probably the biggest thing that is missing. We take science and math classes and health and social studies, but whether anyone likes to admit it or not, guns are a FACT and will never go away. We need public gun education.
Get a job, work harder, get promoted, stop overspending, live below your means, etc etc etc. You can buy a fine conceal carry - used, under $300. Better to have that for most your life and avoid being in a situation where you lose your life because you're too broke to spend $250 on a conceal carry. In mexico you need to file a hunter id, gun id, and...another id (can't remember well lol, I dont have guns but I am looking into it). No one should carry or buy a gun if they have not taken a proper gun class. It should be way more meticulous than getting car driving classes imo, both are just as dangerous and require high level of responsibility and at least mid dexterity. If you are not mentally ok, you should NOT be able to have a gun (at least 1 year of therapy and approval from a therapist). If you have been in jail, you should NOT be allowed to buy a gun ever again. You MUST have a dedicated well kept place to store your guns, more so if you have children... All of these things have been mentioned by progunners and I agree 100%.
Well, according to 2A, actually yeah- the point of the second amendment being written into the constitution the way it was specifically was for citizens to have the same weaponry as the military (which at the time was muskets) to avoid tyrranical rule & takeover. I worked in Corrections and did alot of research on what are the highest charges in this country. I think the anti-gun people are REALLY, REALLY, underestimating how many people, who do illegal things, have guns. Yes. There should obviously be a process on how to obtain a gun legally. But if you take away the guns from the law-abiding citizens, the non-law abiding citizens are still going to have them.
Thank you for your input and logic gathered from experience. Many people really believe that by banning firearms, everyone will automatically give up their guns and and then they’ll disappear indefinitely so that they don’t fall into the hands of the wrong people 🤦♀️
Valid argument to say that there are too many guns in the US to reverse gun violence even if banned. Also the culture would make it impossible for a clean shift. US has a different relation to guns versus Australia for example. Still its the lack of control that is the reason there are so many guns in circulation. Short term change would bring pain, but long term benefits could outweigh the negatives. Giving law abiding citizens weapons will increase the amount of weapons in used by non-law abiding citizens. I don’t think a ban would work in the us, but for argument’s sake.

People raised in safe upper class communities shouldn't have a say on others defense mechanisms who weren't as lucky when those upper class people obviously don't realize that there's a huge illegal gun trade.
Just think critically for a second though. No one is manufacturing illegal guns. So the illegal guns are logically a a byproduct of the general free availability of guns. Not advocating for any specific measures or anything, lets just be honest about where illegally owned guns come from. They start as legal guns.
Gun education is key. Establishing the four fundamentals of gun safety and how to handle guns instead of instilling fear about them. Gov’t seems to have plenty of money to slap restrictions on guns but can’t sponsor programs that help educate people about them. Not mandate education to access a firearm but help support orgs that teach. They seem to spend money everywhere that doesn’t do a damn thing.

My mom was a prison guard for over 20 years, time and time again inmates would get tased by multiple tasers and they would just pull them out. If someone is on something strong enough they don’t feel.

I like how they pick and choose what to fact check. “Unbiased” fact checking 😂
They're wrong too
100%
They present the "fact check" without any context to it. The NEJM child death study was the most blatant and the moderator just simply says "its true". Yes is true but you are not talking about the whole study since it includes up to 24 year old's. Last I check those were not children.
no, they only fact check the people who were wrong. how is that not unbiased?
@@crystalbiggs8479 They didn’t fact check all the anti-gun lies that were said.
You guys gotta bring in regular people, the entire pro-gun side seems to be influencers within that space rather than normal people. It’s strange overall.
I disagree. We need people with credentials and who are well versed on the topic. Whether their credentials are note worthy is subjective, but they should not get regular people.
They tend to bring on a lot of influencers

I don’t think a ban would work in the us, but for argument’s sake.
you americans are the only country in the world who has this kind of problem. very unique to america.
@@claireglory very true but I think there is a conspiracy behind it all.
@@claireglory honestly, I think there is a conspiracy around it all. And yes. Crazy things Ike mass shootings happen in other countries but it’s not big news.
Bad guys will always have guns, you can either protect yourself or be a victim.
Someone could have a firearm pointed at you, finger on the trigger, and this guy says "How do you know they would pull it?" -_-
low IQ take. thats not what anybody said. they said how do you know that having a gun in that instance would stop them pulling the trigger. two very different things.
Gun classes teach. Never point a gun at someone unless your willing to use it. 😮

I wish the moderator didn’t show which side he was on. He’s clearly partial to the anti-gun side.

@@cubbwatchbut the way he was saying “just to clarify” and then word the pro gun sides stance into something that sounds ridiculous, but is still technically what they believe so they feel compelled to say the do agree with that kinda hyper specific thing.

No. Colion? In this economy? Be for real. We need normal people not influencers.
It's wild to me to know that people think others who have illegally obtained a gun care about the law. People raised in safe upper class communities shouldn't have a say on others defense mechanisms who weren't as lucky when those upper class people obviously don't realize that there's a huge illegal gun trade.
A huge illegal gun trade living off the huge LEGAL gun industry.

I haven’t made it to the part where you’re are referring to but here in the state of Texas. When purchasing firearms from a gun show a background check is NOT required.
