The immediate "A pretty woman can get what she wants" comment made me so furious. Like immediately saying that women's value is held in her appearance. Sure, if you're pretty you might get what you want- along with harassment and objectification and a weird sense of ownership from various men- but if you don't fit the beauty standards? It goes that way too- like, to be hired women have to wear makeup- to look presentable. There are literal initiatives that supply homeless women with makeup so they can get hired- because if you're not altering your appearance, you're not presentable. And women who don't fit the beauty standard are immediately devalued as people. NOBODY SHOULD BE JUDGED BY THEIR APPEARANCE- positively or negatively. And that's what women have to deal with, much more than men.
Yes...divorce favors women SO much...that is why my husband blackmailed me out of child support.... for 3 children...because he didn't want to pay and threatened with filing for alimony because he chose to be unemployed after retiring from the USN and I was employed for the first time in 16 years. HE was receiving retirement pay AND 80% disability pay but didn't have to support his children. To add insult to injury...he refused to jointly assume student loan debt for our middle daughter and I now have over $200k of ParentPlus loans that I alone am responsible for. So yeah...men always get screwed in divorce proceedings.
My stepdad literally did TAX FRAUD attempting to pay less child support (he is a freelancer lawyer for clarification) Guess what, my mama is also a lawyer and he is facing attachment due to the whole mess his tax plate is.

It's so crazy to me how many men say that women are more emotional but also feel so emasculated by everything. Just because you don't realize when emotions aren't affecting you, doesn't mean you're not emotional
Exactly, it will almost always come out in a maladaptive way if not processed with transparency. So many people seem to struggle to wrap their heads around this.
Men are more emotional and have less self-aware edit since people will take this the wrong way: obviously, women TEND to be more emotional yes, but I am replying to what OP said, in the way men often do not realize they are projecting and using internal emotional bias while thinking they are stoic lol. Women are more likely to know they are emotional, while men are not. Hence the lack of self-awareness.
I’ll add - in my Opinion inherently this isn’t something to ridicule anyone for, it’s a result of conditioning over a long period I think. But I think there comes a time where people should not think they’re exempt from embracing their emotions because it makes them any less ‘manly’. I think that’s where some pride and toxicity comes in but I just don’t really understand what is shameful about emotions. I think what they take to be ‘male traits’ like being courageous and powerful for example is actually synonymous with taking stock of your emotions and tackling them with acceptance and learning rather than maladaptive coping such as violence or substance abuse. Or even just bitterness or arrogance. Which is what many people seem to have.
That's not even the point. It was scientifically proven that males and females are intellectually equal. The only reason men seem more violent or women seem more emotional is purely the patriarchy
@@like_grrra I certainly did mock a random woman. However, I would argue that it is worth discussing why so many women are professional victims in today's Western culture. You're intentionally dodging the issue that I'm mocking.
He was the only truly reactionary person there. The other "antifeminists" are just against feminist terminology like "toxic masculinity," "mansplaining," etc. Donovan is the only one who is a true koolaid-drinking traditionalist.
For my part, it comes around the problem is not the idea of the feminism but how it is applied nowadays. The true problem is not people who have different opinion, but people who are unable to talk about it without violence, and generally speaking, the discussion was clearly more complicated when i was in a feminist group (not all of thoses groups were bad), but even from the side of incels ; some people, men and women alike, would just listen and brush your argument off because they are not truly ready to doubt themselves. But globally speaking, the insults were more violent when i was discussing with feminist who were really engaged in their movement, like a build up anger which waited to errupt and destroy something, and that kind of vibe was just scary !

If you think what I'm describing is the minimum, congrats you have high emotional intelligence. I'd also argue that it's the ability to be in tune with your own emotions and express them when necessary.
I look at it that way from both sides. Like, for me, feminists take it way too far. And I don't like what they are doing to our society. So I feel like men stepping forward as feminists only perpetuates that. It doesn't make things better. On the flip side, the men being so oblivious to the female experience is also mind boggling in that they think they know anything about it

If you described feminism, without using the term, I'm confident most people would agree with it.

i think those statements contradict each other because you're limiting women for expressing emotions yet encouraging/praising men for doing so which is just double standards. it's also faulting women for being "too emotional" as if it's our responsibility that men can't learn how to express themselves. to everyone who's saying the statements can coexist; women being "too emotional" can exist at the same time as men being emotional (at all) and you don't have to put women down for that.
Too be fair, neither of those statements are in direct conflict with one another. So why is it insane?
There’s a difference between making rash decisions based on emotion and being able to express your emotion…
why is it insane, it's called balance.
@jacoby dove its hypocritical. the stereotype that women are too emotional is often portrayed in a negative light and seen as over dramatic, why are they criticizing women for being 'too emotional' and then going on to say that 'men should be able to express their emotions' when they roll their eyes at women expressing their emotions? it just doesn't add up
The emotional stereotype makes me laugh. Some men think if a woman is angry for instance, she is being hysterical, and if a men is angry.. well is being a men

Fun fact: Pregnancy/after birth, most women suffer from depression and self-hate. Motherhood is scary, and even life threatening.
Also the skeletal structure of the hip changes too and its irreversible no matter what exercises they try out
theres also a possibility for psychosis which many men for some reason say isnt real which has lead to some cases of women hurting themselves or others due to being denied any help and being told theyre faking it just because theyre women and women = dramatic attention seekers! love the medical field for being pretty heavily misogynistic!
I would also like to add that some people don’t take into consideration the person carrying the child, what they might be going through, how hard it is, the pain their in, especially if their very young. We just blame them for not being “safe” when we don’t know the full story, even if they were, condoms and birth control don’t always prohibit pregnancy, or stds for that matter.

Men are more emotional and have less self-aware
edit since people will take this the wrong way: obviously, women TEND to be more emotional yes, but I am replying to what OP said, in the way men often do not realize they are projecting and using internal emotional bias while thinking they are stoic lol. I think that’s where some pride and toxicity comes in but I just don’t really understand what is shameful about emotions. I think what they take to be ‘male traits’ like being courageous and powerful for example is actually synonymous with taking stock of your emotions and tackling them with acceptance and learning rather than maladaptive coping such as violence or substance abuse. im sorry but what the heck is a feminine energy?😅 being respectful? is that a feminine energy?
People who say 'feminine and masculine energy' scare me
There’s no such thing as “feminine” and “masculine” energy
@@painunending4610 of course they do
My one main pushback would be to the idea that "women are trying to be men". Having a job and providing for yourself is not trying to be a dude. That's the whole point, having self-efficacy should not be considered a characteristic of masculinity.
exactly
And if those women lived off their husbands they'd just get called leeches by those men. We can't win with them.
@@melissam597 my mom gets criticized so hard because she’s independent and to herself
If you really look it’s not hard to see that woman are encouraged to be more masculine while men are encouraged to be more feminine. The people in charge of these ideologies curate it very meticulously and it’s not in our best interest. It’s in theirs.
@@onetimeiateanindonesianguy6183 what do you consider to be masculine/feminine?
I love how the anti feminist guys talked about how women are in a perpetual victim mindset. Then played victim and said they suffer every day when asked if men suffer from feminism.
The fact that no one stepped forward for the "period pain is exaggerated" prompt made me smile. I think that's one of the only things that all *decent* men can accept is so far out of their realm of experience that they cannot possibly comment on the degree of severity of period pain.
Ikrrr, like bruh I spend 5 hours screaming from pain monthly.
Those of us with endo/dysmenorrhea would have been amused.
I mean, this is just a cold hard fact
@@ujiiiiosjwwj4jr Same I spend around 10 hours every month crying, screaming, nausea, throwing up, rolling on floors and beds & passing out and loosing my appetite & having muscle pain, back pain, thigh pain, even vag*nal & backdoor pain 😂 it’s not funny but it’s absolutely horrible with crazy mood swings and crying sessions. The first 3 days are horrible and bloated. I get cramps even the last day of period. Not to mention having to bleed for 7-10 days and ruining many cute panties & buying EXPENSIVE pads every month.
Im so glad the bare minimum was met
Kevin is my hero. Also anybody kind of laughing about the fact the men on the feminist side mentioning their girlfriend, wife, daughters and their experiences? Which either speaks for them in a sense that they actually got game or that these people are proud and mindful of their experience with a woman in their life.

i always feel the need to applaud jubilee for finding these people, it’s crazy to see people like this on video
What happened to the word "feminism" is what happened with every issue in the social media age: the loudest (and often times worst) voices get the most attention and the entire movement gets defined by them. If you described feminism, without using the term, I'm confident most people would agree with it.
It's so sad to see women who actually benefit from feminism being loudly against feminism. Brainwashed by the internet...
Of course most people agree with idealizations, but this is the real world and the support that movements should receive should be based on the actions of the people in it. Ignoring that just gives power to people who do harm.
Marketization of ideals... not only the original message gets oversimplified to a denaturating point, but it gets sold for profit, increasing the interest to reduce it even more to increase revenue...

“I feel like women are more emotional”
While the room is filled up with guys yelling and not allowing each other to speak cause theyre mad and emotional.
fr its exhausting seeing then just yelling but not listening, so inmature tho
Yeah, because men think anger and frustration are not emotions, like happyness are not emotions. The majority of men literally behave like todlers, scream and beat up other men or their wives, because they can not control their emotions, but for some reason women are the emotional ones. Just scratch a mans ego a bit and he gets so very emotional, but of course he is not emotional he is controlled while he abuses you and screams at you and If women get angry there is of course no reason for this, because they are just crazy and emotional for no reason
@@insideAdirtyMind, so if men are emotional, what is your solution? Please note that emotions are a bad thing.

When I hear men saying "If you didn't want the kid then just don't have sex. You knew what would happen if you slept with him" to justify women not needing abortions it just baffles me.
