One of those great series, second time watching. Even better 2nd time round. My favourite actors. Michael Kitchen and Robson Green. What more could you ask for. Loved Robson in all his fishing series too. From the age of 2 even though I was female my dad used to take me fishing. I am heading to my 80s now but memories are like watching tv. "Reckless" including The Sequel is my favorite television miniseries from the UK. I have watched it countless times since I first saw it over 20 years ago and never tire of it. I had a very interesting encounter connected with "Reckless", worth sharing I think. I was browsing at the cosmetic counter at Saks in my area not long after the first time I saw the series. The woman who was helping me at the counter had an English accent, so I mentioned that I'd just seen a marvelous UK series set in Manchester. She asked me the name, and I told her "Reckless". She looked quite startled, so I asked her what was wrong. She then told me, "I was in Reckless." Turns out she was in the scene at the club when Owen first goes out with the other doctors at the hospital. She and Owen danced together. That night I watched that scene again, and there she was. Amazing.
This was a cleverly constructed account of believable characters. The green eyes of envy can cause any man, or woman to do strange things, in the pursuit of love. Enraged alpha males, locking horns over the love of a woman, is riveting to watch. Top class British acting at its finest. You can't get any better than this, I was hooked.

David Bradley, it's hard to believe the same actor played the vampire killing Setrakian in the Strain, was the caretaker of Hogwarts, Walder Frey in Game of Thrones and even became the embodiment of Hartnell's Doctor in Dr.Who. He is a true chameleon and a wonderful actor. How many people are now thinking, "That's where I've seen him !"
The great love of my life was a man I met when I was 45 and he was 30. We were together for 5 years until I left him because he just couldn't seem to make any money and I felt bad because I couldn't give him children. Ironically, he is now 57 and still has no children . ( His mother is upset) So....who knows what life will bring.
First watched Dobson Green on Granchester and fell for his sexy blue eyes and oh he's just really handsome at any age! Im a big fan now. This was really good. Thank you for sharing.
It's also interesting that Francesca Annis and Robson Green actually look about the same age now because she's really taking care of herself and he hasn't so much, so you never know!
I'd say Richard didn't know his wife very well if he thought that she wouldn't have figured out who was responsible for Owen's schedule change. He underestimates her intelligence and overestimates his ability to win her back with his childish maneuvers.
THESHOMROM Peter Capaldi isn’t in this, but, he is good actor. It’s David Bradley playing the dad, he also played Argus Filch in the Harry Potter movies, and also played William Hartnell ( the first Doctor Who) in a drama about the series origins and in one of the episodes with Peter as the 12th Doctor.
I loved the interaction and excellent acting. People are bringing up music. I thought it was excellent. The story was like a duel between these two men. Anna was the prize. Their emotions and ploys were the weapons rather than guns.
Wow Love this series. Robson to my eyes is so handsome and a great actor. Most Brits are good when it comes to acting. In reality if he is 30 she is 45, now it will make no difference. Sadly when he is 55 she would be 70. I think this could bring a few issues. With saying that Hugh Jackman is quite a few years younger than his wife Debbie not sure what the difference is. Regarding adultery, even if they leave their wives for the other woman. I have seen over the years it never lasts. Never stray away from home always ends in ruins for all concerned. I'm almost 72 and have seen this happen many times. Just my thoughts and life experiences.
I get a lot of remarks on the age difference, but it always depends on health and maintenance who'll look good later on--and especially your DNA. Francesca Annis was 52 in this series, Green 33 (in real life). 20 years later, she looked great (and still does) but he seems to have aged a great deal. I was 51 dating a 36 year old he wanted to marry but I said no glad I didn't now he would probably have lots of energy heart conditions take all my energy. I have been blessed with good skin few wrinkles and still a size 12. No regrets could not stand getting to 70 then he leaves for a younger woman that would be a killer

great stuff, but those poor actors got so much rained on...its a miracle they did not get pneumonia. Real affection and great chemistry, only what's gona happen in 10 years or so...
Rain making machine, weather is too unpredictable even here in the U.K. to time the scenes with a down pour. It’s also a myth that you can get sick just by getting soaked, you have to be incubating something for that.

I can watch Robson Green in anything. Francesca Annis, as always, is magnificent.
What I love about this movie is the fact that the issue is the adultery. The fact that she's 15 years his senior is a minor consideration.
They get into that in the sequel, which I just uploaded, but they handle it quite well.
