The gang get mistaken for solicitors, after they complete a con, by the head of a local social group. The community centre they use was a listed building until it was bought, and the listing was shortly removed afterwards. Now with the threat of demolition looming ever closer, the social group look set to lose their usual hangout. Mickey decides they should help, and believes that Rhona Christie (Kate Fleetwood), a Labour MP who thwarted efforts to save the building, may be involved in doing illegal deals in secret. Sean is sent undercover into her offices, with a scheme to determine if she is corrupt. When they get their evidence, the team must formulate a plan to not only con her, but to save the community centre as well. A tall order indeed, especially when Sean becomes concerned about the relationship between Mickey and Emma...
The Hustle focuses on a group of con artists who specialise in "long cons" - extended forms of deceptive frauds that require greater commitment, but offer higher rewards than simple confidence tricks.

@@jeffincoom9325 Leverage is Hustle as thought up by Yanks. The team are more altruistic, and there's a hacker and a fighter in the group, but the cons are amazingly well done.

Great to see the ethical and moral side to these guys instead of a fiscal take down.
The classic Robin Hood Syndrome: a crime is committed yet the only people who get hurt are the ones who deserve it and, if not publicly outed, can't report it to the Police because they'd have to admit their own wrongdoings as part of the investigation!

Ten points for this plot segment offering Ash a chance to conceive the con that brings down the MP (Rhona Christie). I can't remember him in other shows, devising a way forward as he did here.

I have a hard time deciding if this is better than Leverage, in the end it doesn't matter, I just love a good con.
Easy Hustle by far is 10 times better series than Leverage. Any shows made in the U.K. is much better than American versions.

^ Almost anything can have listed status. It doesn't have be architecturally noteworthy. Some listings are of "special historic interest." Listed buildings come in a wide variety of forms and types, ranging from telephone boxes, road signs, and castles. Including the Abbey Road zebra crossing made famous by the Beatles!
Blue Cadillac. Thank you for the information. Thank heaven they stopped getting rid of the classic red call boxes although I would loooooove to have acquired one for my (Canadian) garden. I don’t feel that I have been properly in Britain without a sighting of one or two or six. Also really interesting to know about the Abbey Road zebra crossing. Well deserved in my opinion.
