Mine too! They do such a phenomenal job, once again putting Hollywood to shame...with the writing by Paul Abbott, and the incredible acting, directing, etc. It has to be one of the best things I've ever seen. Another great one is Oliver's Travels that PBS. broadcast in 1994, also now on RUclips.
@@FreddieGodofRock is that Gullivers travels? I am very much interested in more Mobile Masterpieces but not sure I want to spend this much time watching something based solely on adultery.
First time I saw it on PBS, I felt like I'd struck gold--and I've felt that way every time I've watched it since. There aren't enough superlatives to describe it.
the sign of a good story is the emotional rollercoaster ride you take as the reader/watcher. Watched it in '97 and really loving watching it again. Thanks for the upload.
I saw this on Channel 7 here in Australia when it first aired. Loved it from the get-go! Everyone is so deliciously badly behaved 😅 and Robson Green is at his sexiest. Thank goodness I was able to track down the DVD box set from the US in the years before RUclips.
I had to pause it… Am too excited!!! Must “ speak up “!! Green’s Character Owen is so likeable. What a smart, fun, go-after-what-he-wants, with enough confidence, to believe in him. The obvious bond between dad and son, I’m really enjoying!!! The person posting these mini series, ( seems young to me …?) has given me (+ 1,000’s ) others, a big Treat! The luxury of watching all 4 now, is adding to my weekend relaxation. Thank you so much! Well sourced, and a bloody sound idea!!😊😊👋🏻👋🏻😊😊😊
This was a GREAT show. I loved it the first time, and continue to love it. The writing is superb, from farce to serious drama, and the actors are more than up to the job of fleshing it out. Bravo, PBS. Just fantastic!!!!!!
This is about the 7th time I'm watching this! It is the BEST thing ever shown on PBS, where I saw it almost 20 yrs ago. I've been looking for it ever since! A year or so ago someone posted it, but in pieces---not nearly as much fun as watching it in its entirety. Thank you so, SO much! 😄 This was my first introduction to Robson (Gorgeous!) Green. He's been my favorite actor since! I absolutely Love him!! Francesca Annis is unbelievable, gorgeous as well, and what a pro! Michael Kitchen is priceless also. This whole series is amazingly fantastic! This is definitely my favorite production of all time! Another great one is Oliver's Travels, (starring Alan Bates and Sinead Cusack, (Jeremy Irons's wife), and the incomparable Bill Paterson) also on PBS many, many moons ago and would love to catch that again. Anyone know where I might do that?? Thanks again!
What a find! Enjoying this marvellous serialised film exceptionally. Many thanks for the share. The 4 major actors are fabulously (tho' inhabitually) compatible. Good show.
This is an absolute delight!!!!!!! Best series ever shown anywhere! I loved it 100yrs ago and I Love it even more now! I kind of resent Russell Baker making that snide remark: not to expect "high literary entertainment." Just b/c this is written in the 20th century does not mean it can't rival any of the classics. This has everything: drama, comedy, romance, class warfare, jealousy, envy.....what more can one want? Such amazing acting and incredibly clever writing. The nuances of real life are stunning in their accuracy and execution. These British actors and writers are such pros; once again, putting Hollywood to shame. And the music, so beautifully interwoven, plays an integral part in the magic of it all. Absolutely adore every bit of Part 1, 2, 3, and The Sequel. Thank you so much for this and thank you, Paul Abbott for writing it (without the craziness of Shameless! lol) 😻

SueSnellLives! Thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece! I seen it (from other source) several times, maybe 5-7 or so. There are three masterpieces of that late 1990-s with three of my beloved actors: Reckless (1997-8) with Francesca Annis and David Bradley, Our Mutual Friend (1998) with David Bradley and Keeley Hawes, Wives and Daughters (1999) with Keeley Hawes and Francesca Annis.
I’m from Texas and am in love with Robson Green. I’m pretty much binging on his talent. I watch all the British crime dramas I can , I came across Robson Green in a series called Touching Evil and I was hooked on him immediately…and he can sing! Thanks for this upload ❤️
