Robson Green.... Say No More. :-)... Will Be Watching as many of his movies as I can. I live in Auckland NZ and we are gutted another 12 days Lockdown. Auckland, Lockdown 3, The rest of the country is Level 2. BUT we did manage 102 days Covid 19, free. I'm more gutted for our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, and Director General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield.... Ok, Now onto Unconditional Love. Anyone out there suggest the next best Robson Green Movie? ...............I did watch all of Reckless Love, in one sitting!. What else to do in Lockdown, Also Keep safe, Masks, handwashing and be kind to one another,

Love "Reckless", I'm embarrassed to say how often I have watched it. I'm trying to locate "Take Me", I've watched "Beaten" currently bingeing on "Touching Evil" and periodically tuning in to Robson Green's Extreme Fishing. Looking also for "Soldier Soldier" and "Casualty". YES, it has been a long year here in Texas. Do you watch "Grantchester" currently on our PBS.

I guess, as an American, I am spoiled by police/procedure shows where the Mom's attempt (with the Dad) to sell this as a suicide wouldn't have worked. For starters, when the medical examiner couldn't find gunshot residue on " the kid's " hand the police would have been right around to the couple's home.
It would have been smarter to set up a self defense story as the reason for the shooting. It wouldn't have made a difference that " the kid's " gun was empty, just the possibility that his gun was loaded made the Mom believe he would kill her or the child.

I haven't watched it all yet, but it says the kidnapper was an embittered and abused half brother of the kidnapped child who was adopted. As an adopted person who was abused by my adoptive parents and then searched for my birth parents who didn't care about me, I think those pro life people are weirdos, as they seem to enjoy trying to look good with banners, and caring more about fertilised eggs than living people. There should be more stories about what happens to people born into bad circumstances.

Too many crazy people to give a baby for adoption, and worry daily about them and how they are doing with their adoptive family. Everyone have done a great job in all areas to make this movie come alive. It is a traumatic topic, and the reason I am pro-choice.

Got to 30 minutes couldn't watch any more. This film is such a turkey it could have been produced by Bernard Matthews, even in 2002/3, the time of filming & broadcast, Britain had more CCTV cameras than the rest of Europe put together. Why was nobody ever spotted. Sometimes the fish Robson Green pulls out of the sea are less wooden than him, they often have more character.

The guards saw him, they would have known hi from him being all over the tv as the father of a missing child. Who was just taken from a secure building and no one noticed. Then losing the disk. There were 2 of them, why didn't one stay by the disk while the other looked for the kid? The police just disappear into the ether for most of it No one investigates the murder.Basically, take every rational thought or reaction and throw it out of the window, get the characters to act in ways no one with the IQ of an amoeba would, then you end up with this trash.

    Spoiler Alert:
That little Maxie was a spoiled kid. The parents fighting over getting the wrong toy? Operation game is cheaper that this one😂 The kid behaved today, let's take him out somewhere where he can get really hyper and lost. I watched the whole thing, you don't need to think, that's a plus. 4 yr old in a room for 4 weeks and it's less messy than a house. No food wrappers or plates, no clothes nothing. The plot was so far fetched I got jet lag from just how far far fetched it was. 😁😨👅

Would he really be walking around in that red hoody when he knows the description is plastered all over the news

I believe people would have paid more attention to the red hood, rather than, his face. The red hood might have produced the better shade to hide his face too.

Claire Anderson ....I don't think he really cares.Maybe,he doesn't have any other clothes...cleanliness does not appear to be his strong suite, by the dirt seen under his nails...and his environment. Most people would assume that if the red hoodie hit the news...that he would never wear it,again...therefore,would probably overlook him!

lynda renaud But the red hoodie did hit the news and he was still walking round in it

Claire Anderson ....Like I said...Most people would assume that the guy would never wear it again! So,they would not look twice at him!...

Course they would. The police are trained never to assume and they are wise to the transparency of reverse psychology

Ridiculous ending. How do they explain away the boy coming back unharmed after a month?

How is it that there are no police or other cars around when Pete is driving like a maniac? He draws no attention from pedestrians? / There would be no gunshot residue on Ben's hands to explain the supposed suicide. Max is mighty docile for having been away from his parents and in that dungeon for four weeks. Too many absurdities to swallow in this drama...

Watched it all. Too many sloppy flaws in the plot. Basic idea of the story is okay: "You threw me away; didn't love me; ruined my life; so now you must kill me". But Peter & Lydia wouldn't have been given a pass on two homicides. Benjamin could've been found before he was shot. The screenplay writer was as twisted as the psychotic abandoned son.

i thought this is a terrible movie. over acting. bad script. dreadful soundtrack. and the kidnapper never even bothers to take off his red hoodie. and what idiot thought it was believable that the guy takes the first phone call standing outside by rushing traffic when he could have stayed in the car ???

This film should be compolsery viewing for every stupid girl who gets pregnant.
Or better still for every teenager who thinks it won't happen to her.
The baby, 99% will NOT get adopted by the perfect family.
More likely it will be abused.
Watch this to see what screwball are out there.
