I know this is 3 years old, but with the kids, I always keep a super hero and a princess coloring book with crayons and color pencils at my desk for young kids, an old rattler from when my kids were babies, and a mini zen garden sand thing so they have something to do.
thats a great idea my friend thanks for sharing
Attitude is the biggest thing I’d say. The customer feeds off your energy and vibe that you give off. If you’re excited and enthusiastic, they will be more prone to being upbeat as well. And if you’re negative and giving off an annoyed vibe, they’ll be the same way. They can feel it.
for sure man thanks for commenting you pretty much have to always be smiling

Very good!! Greetings from a car dealer Salesperson in Brazil
hey thanks for reaching out what cars do you sell in brazil?
Checked my dictionary Chris, "Googleable" is not a word, LOL. Nice video!
Good call!
To bad you live to far away!! Very good information. Thanks.
Thank you for the tips! Great info.
Glad it was helpful!
This was both encouraging and discouraging 😆. I just started into the business at a dodge dealer unfortunately I don't get the opportunity to make appointments often. I was instructed to stay on the lot getting fresh ups. That's all I do!
That's interesting Andrew theres no downtime in your office at all? I would commit at least an hour per day to make phone calls and follow up with Previous ups
@@carsunlocked we are allowed to follow up with past customers or lot ups that have been there. I'm only in my second month yet so I don't have a lot to follow up with yet. We have 9 guys here and only 3 are in internet. Management routinely runs the lazy ones out of the store and tells them to go out on the lot. It's been interesting so far
@@andrewj7424 really damnn man message me on Instagram if you want to chat further but following up with unsold customers is so key much easier to close someone who has come back a second time
I am at my first month in a Nissan dealership. I’m at 5 sold for this month and they were all ups ! I had no luck getting appointments through the leads being bad leads or they are working w another sales consultant
@@jcruz2093 my 1st few weeks were rough. Then in one month 7.5 the next month 8. This month has been rough but hang in there. It's getting easier
Hey chris my name is John tomorrow is my first day at Ford dealership never done sales in my life i been watching your videos i hope i do good

I love it
glad I could help you
In regards to tip #1 (shake every hand) what about the fact that we are in a pandemic and social distancing is a thing now...any formal tips on how to feel out if someone is open to a handshake these days?
hey Cody I stopped shaking hands with people and you should to. What I recommend is introducing yourself to everyone in the party now just the person buying the car
You can bow maybe?
Curious about using that language “biweekly” when talking about the payment. I’ve never heard anyone say that and I am intrigued! Is that to make the payment amount seem more doable? Then why not weekly? Very interested in the philosophy behind that!
weekly works too but biweekly is always going to be a lower payment then monthly
Not sure about the follow up. If I ask the sales person "not to call me, I would call if I decide to buy a car", and he/she starts calling me - forget about the sale. I hate that. 8 times? 2nd time would be the end. I always call if I decide to buy the car, always, I respect their time. I never buy a car the same day. Also, I am loyal to good reps, I bought 3 cars from one guy, 3 cars from another (different brands). Beside, I remember a great sales rep and I might come back in few years, when I am looking for the car again, I did this wih mb guy this year, he never bothered me and I respect that. So I am not sure pestering is a really good strategy.
But your videos are great. Very interesting for customers as well ))
thanks for watching and the kind words Russell. To be clear if a customer tells me not to call them I certainly will not call them . I follow up multiple times if there is no answer or no definitive conclusion. If a client tells me they are not interested on the second call I wont call them again
Love From India🇮🇳😍
thanks so much for watching... have a great day !
@@carsunlocked Thanks dear😊
Hey chris.your video help me much. But im corius about how to cold calling as sales person
A car sales person
thanks so much I have yet to do a video on working the phone stay tuned I will shoot one for you!
ruclips.net/video/6_5mDX-Xb8A/видео.html heres a video just for you
Whew. As a consumer, I’m so exhausted listening to this. I bought my last car from Carvana and only spoke with one person, and that was just to verify my identity. No slimy things like biweekly payments “don’t go over price”, call them 8 times, pretend to like their kids, etc. I understand this is how it is, but the high pressure stuff does turn people away.
And how did your purchase go my friend.... Can you call carvana if you have trouble with your vehicle or your loan? I am sure you did not negotiate therefore most likely overpaid
@Cars Unlocked ya right! People would call us..our answer? You're an owner!
I just retired from car sales after 25 yrs. Essentially it's prostitution. The sales person will love you for a few hrs. My book on how dirty car sales is will be coming out soon. All the tricks and gimmicks that screw the consumer.
Hey Chris can you make a video about calling leads
Here you go my friend! ruclips.net/video/6_5mDX-Xb8A/видео.html
@@carsunlocked thank you 🙏
Not sure if you have already made a video on when you're in a slump and keep getting a No. How do you keep a positive mind?
hey we certainly can do that thanks for the input!
As a newbie, how do you get 30 numbers to call?
as your managers for a list of people to call
I'm a salesman at Cadillac Showroom in Bahrain
thanks so much for watching make sure you watch my sales training and advice playlist ruclips.net/p/PLsRpefPu0MuGx8WuahBsDfNcxitZgv6Pd
Man I work in a dealership in fl, my dealership has a process. And If I show the customer the cars first, they have a shit 😒
Yes following a proper sales process is key!
Thank you I want be a sale person
Hey amazing make sure you follow my tips
So as a salesman we’re selling appointments not cars especially for new hires?
yes appointments are huge!
Nice! So once you set an appointment is it your job to discuss numbers with the customer as well?
Okay but how do you handle the hand shaking with covid?
just introduced yourself with your hands folded together or behind your back
At our dealership, we usually do an elbow bump. Some people really don’t care and will still shake hands though.
I give them the Vulcan Salute. Star Trek Fans return it.
You call in sick. Lol
So even thought you dnt have the car they are looking for still show them other cars?
Yes what have you got to lose
I just started my dealership last week
good luck to you mate make sure to watch my videos on sales training Sales Training and Advice: ruclips.net/p/PLsRpefPu0MuGx8WuahBsDfNcxitZgv6Pd
How is it going??
$250 bi-weekly payment… so $500 a month? Say that… this is why car salesman have a rep for being scammy
250 biweekly is not $500 a month
Every 6 months, Bi-Weekly means an extra payment, therefore 3 that month.
How is $250 biweekly not $500 a month? Biweekly means every two weeks, there are on average four weeks in a month, so they would be making two payments of $250 every month. $250 x 2 = $500.
@@sbacon0 unfortunately not there are two months of there year where you will make 3 payments 26 total Payments per year . therefore a $250 biweekly payment does not translate to $500. here is the math $250*26 =$6500 divide by 12 and it's $541 monthly
@@carsunlocked I never would have suspected the difference to be as large as $41 dollars a month! I think you just demonstrated why framing the payments in terms of biweekly is such an effective sales technique. Thank you for explaining!
Shake hand during covid good idea😂
Hey mate this video was made before COVID sorry to offend u
@@carsunlocked So the question is, what do you do now? Elbow butts, nods, waves, what?
There's nothing wrong with that. If you shake hands with someone and go touching your face, eating food with your hands etc. before washing them it would be your own fault. This is just common sense honestly.
Nobody wants to shake hands anymore
yes times have changed a little bit since we made this video
@@carsunlocked you mean video?
@@nagarakirtanadasa9334 hahha yes sorry
This is true personally I don't either but if a customer gestures a hand shake and I do! I dont mind it if they dont. It is understandable now to not handshake.
telling ppl their payment biweekly is a slimy thing to do, tryna mind trick them into thinking the car is cheap but it’s double what ur saying
not slimy at all most people get paid biweekly
@@carsunlocked Yes but bills usually come once a month. Saying different would just be a flat out lie.
I agree. Bi-monthly is stupid. You're trying to reduce the payment by roughly 10% by hiding the extra 4 weeks you're not accounting for. It's slimy. What's the MONTHLY payment...better yet...how did we get to this magical payment. Price and interest rate and terms. Period
@@MH-wm6df Or, tell them both: e.g. "You're looking at X amount weekly/bi-weekly/whatever, so roughly Y amount monthly." Problem solved.
Is this from 1988? Also, imagine if a "customer" watches this silly, old- fashioned sales pitch
What strategies do you use?
THE POINT IS TO SELL A CAR NOT TO MAKE A CUSTOMER SPEND TBEIR WHOLE MONETHLY INCOME IN A CAR BILL ❗❗❗
thanks for the input my friend
Yeah cars sales and buy is great despite the lockdown
What's the point of your comment? It's up to the customer to decide how much they are willing to spend. A salesman can only sell a car that fulfills the customers wants or needs, irrespective of what they can afford.
this man has no life in his eyes LOL
ill try to get more life in them for you
Reminds me being forced to listen to those uselessCardone videos. Car salesman, I was one for 25 yrs, basically prostitution, me love you for 3 hrs.
Ok
Why do you quote payments bi-weekly? Why not be more transparent and quote the payment per MONTH? When you quote bi-weekly, you come across as a slimy salesperson.
its not slimy 90% of Canadians get paid this way so its easy to budget
Do you refer to your rent as bi-weekly? Of course not. You speak of rent as being by the month. If someone said their rent was $500 bi weekly, that would sound weird. And it sounds weird to refer to a car payment as being bi weekly.
