    Ah the sounds of T1s and TRs on the same line. Something that does not happen often. From a bygone era when multiple stock types ran on all lines.

      @@stephensalloum7763 That can't be true, they run on the same 3 lines that the previous generations (up until the T1s) ran on, so they were obviously designed to the exact same width and very similar length. I don't know where this rumor came from in the first place, and why it continues to go around because it's so very obviously false. To the point, the TRs have operated on every single bit of track of the existing lines 1, 2 & 4, as well as Greenwood yard.

    To be fair I will be okay with T1s and TRs both on Line 1, 2, and 4. Just so you can we get what same thing of what happened back in the day, with the H trains, if the H trains didn’t retired, I would have wanted H5s, T1s, and TRs. on Line 4. And have Line 2 to have H6s, TRs, H4s, and H5s. And Line 1 with T1s, H5s, and TRs.

      There are no "new H-series" cars, only T1's on line 2 which are 19-25 years old now. When the next order of trains comes out, it will probably go on line 1 while the TR's (the oldest of which are 10 years old now) would move to line 2.

      @@Queensway8033 considering that seeing X cars on Y line (or vice versa) is a pretty rare & unlikely occurrence, my main focus would be to film that, because there's nothing special about seeing X cars on line X or Y cars on line Y. If the T1 showed up after the TR left the station, I probably would've filmed it as well, but since both showed up at the same time, it was more important to film the TR on line 2.

    TTC should replace the old trains with TRs. If someone makes a petition, maybe this will convince the TTC to replace the old train with new ones.

    • @H5subway5707
      @H5subway5707  4 года назад +6

      The old trains still have about 10 years of useful life left in them, and there's recently been a proposal to extend their life by an additional 10 years because replacing them involves a lot more than just getting new trains, and it's not doable within the next 10 years. Personally I think the subway system would be incredibly boring with nothing but TRs, so I'm glad we at least have the T1s for more variety.
