Take a ride in the cab of the TTC's (@OfficialTTCchannel) Line 3 rapid transit line, in real-time, from McCowan Station to Kennedy Station.
The TTC's Line 3 opened in 1985. The provincial government hoped that the intermediate capacity rapid transit system technology used on Line 3 could be used across the suburban areas of Toronto. The TTC originally envisioned a streetcar service where Line 3 now operates but the provincial government of the day threatened to cut funding if the TTC didn't accept the change in technology for the line. Today, Line 3 is approaching the end of its service life, is due to be decommissioned in 2023 and will be replaced by an extension of Line 2 which is now under construction.
All footage captured in this video was recorded on July 6, 2022. All filming was completed under authorization from the Toronto Transit Commission. The TTC Subway font/typeface in this video is used under license from Quadrat Communications.

Thanks for making this video! Also, how did you made it in through the front view since that's where the driver's room.
I prearranged the video shoot with the TTC and paid to have a Supervisor on the train to provide access to the cab.
