- Scarborough RT in 1990 filmed by PVP Transport Videos during a visit to Canada. Some of the original sounds and sights of the Scarborough RT can be seen here, which was only 5 years old at the time.
This footage was recovered from a VHS video tape from the UK and converted from PAL to NTSC.
They sound so fresh unlike what it was now.
RIP Line 3 Scarborough (1985-2023)
Retro rewind ⏪ I’m a 2000s kid and I’m 23 almost 24 years old I loved riding the srt train 🚊 every time I visited Scarborough from Guelph Ontario
I will miss the RT. I didn’t ride it much but it did it’s job. Too bad they couldn’t modernize it and keep it running. Still think they could have somehow linked Scarborough Town Centre to the Sheppard line in a loop.
very cool!❤
I just saw your comment.
Nice video didn’t know you had a channel until I saw your story!
Fun to watch. Thank you.
Its fun to train watch. 🐸
During this time you could clearly hear the whining sound it makes when it leaves the station unlike the days leading to the derailment where that same sound is gone as opposed to the Mk1s in Vancouver where you can still hear that sound clearly
that’s the oldest train I’ve ever seen!
Thanks for sharing
And one more question, When did the seating change ? I notice the back seats are different. Thanks
Did the RT Chime , Only have 1 Ding when it came out ?
Are did it have the 3 Ding Ding Ding sound ?
Will you ever cruise again?
One day, but nothing booked yet.
Depature from Kennedy as the best
So when I first came to Canada in 1988 the baby subway was only 3 years old.
That time the scarborough rt is still new but now is old.
