    I love watching you - I thought I was the only one that had a time hooping. I have said that I don't charge for embroidering - I charge for having to hoop it. I especially have been where you were when you said it would pop out on you. You have given me many hours of learning and entertainment. I just love you!

    • @TheBabysBooty

      Thank you! That hooping is a trip. Especially when you have arthritis in your hands! It can be quite painful, HOWEVER it is technically the best way to embroider.

    I Like how you marked the shirt. I first find the center front line (for embroidery on the front). I measure down about 7" for a small & 7-1/2" for a medium I then divide the distance from the center of the shirt front & the sleeve seam...if it's 9", then my design will center at 4-1/2". The pressed center front seam let's me measure in three places from the center front to make sure my vertical and horizontal lines are even. I rarely use the templates...keep losing them..so I hoop the stabilizer & mark the horizontal and vertical lines on the stabilizer & then float the shirt, matching the drawn lines. With the newer "dry weave" t-shirts...this works best. I either use a sticky back stabilizer or a bit of spray baste.

    I cannot tell you how much you inspire me to start embroidering. My machine just sits put in my sewing room. So scared of it. Hubby does amazing designs. I need to invest the money and take lessons on my Husqvarna machine. So ashamed that my husband surprised me with this awesome gift 9 years ago and I am just so afraid of breaking it. Grrrrrr.

    I can’t do embroidery unless my designs are as straight as they can be. It looked to me thatyou sort of guesstimated the line based on the hang tag. I loved the glue stick tip. Brava to you! Ok no here is why I am going nuts the last 2 years. My designs curl and look horrible after wash and wear. I heard you describe cut away to stabilize that tee shirt fabric, but how do your designs stand the test of time? Other teachers say spray, or mesh, or sticky tear away. They all say their way is the best way. After trying about fifty tee shirt designs, nothing I have tried yet allows my designs to continue to look professional. But I will do yor technique.
    What about prewashing and / or steaming the shirt before to shrink it? Thank you!

    Thank U, Thank U for all your amazing videos. I'm very new to embroidery & I've just gotten my first embroidery machine the brother pe800. I've learned so much watching your videos. I'm wanting to do some 3d applique embroidery designs for my niece for Christmas and I'm wanting to monogram some sherpa pullovers as Christmas gifts. But I'm struggling because I can't find anything to help guide me in the right direction. Any help would be so greatly appreciated!!

      I do have a video on nap tack stitches. That same design method would work great on the sherpa. I don't have a video on 3d applique. I will look into trying to do one, just not sure if I can have one uploaded in time for the holidays.

    Hello, you are amazing! I am trying to learn since I think they don't have too easy tools for embroidery to manage. One question what about jackets? I can embroidery with the PES525 my winter coat? too thick fabrics maybe affects all the subject :)

    • @TheBabysBooty

      The thick coat COULD be embroidered, however you need to be sure to babysit it to ensure it is moving freely on the machine. You can not leave it unattended. 👍

I still dont like needle changing or the foot as easy as it is. thank god for husbands I have a great one he help me LOL .

    • @TheBabysBooty
      @TheBabysBooty  7 лет назад +1

      Sorry the machine acted up! Make sure the bobbin case is cleaned out and free from lint and strands of thread, then give it a drop of oil. After you oil it, embroider on some scrap to absorb any extra oil, re-thread the machine and give it another try! Be sure to give hubby a BIG OL hug for changing out that needle and foot for you!!!

    Hi, do we have to use embroidery needles for machine embroidery? If so what size of needles would be most suitable for woven and knits? Thank you.
    P.S. I have just purchased SWP and I am enjoying playing around it. Haven't mastered it but your lessons have been an invaluable guide.

    • @TheBabysBooty
      @TheBabysBooty  7 лет назад +1

      Noorjahan PK Ibrahim Kutty Hi! When using embroidery machines, a 75/11 proves sufficient for most embroidery. Knit fabrics require a ballpoint needle! You are able to get 75/11 in ballpoint as well as sharp. 😊

  • @ngcalderon08
    @ngcalderon08 2 года назад

    Why did you say you don’t use spray adhesive? I couldn’t understand well. You said something about your needle. I also have 400 and trying to learn 💕

    • @TheBabysBooty
      @TheBabysBooty  2 года назад +1

      Because the wrong spray adhesive will leave sticky residue on your embroidery needle. If the needle is sticky, then the thread will stick to it and bunch up and cause thread breaks. You have tofind a sewing needle friendly spray adhesive.

    How do you keep the design from puckering?

    • @TheBabysBooty
      @TheBabysBooty  5 лет назад

      Good cutaway stabilizer and a design that isn't too dense for the fabric. If it puckers with the cutaway stabilizer you are using, add another piece. On T-shirts I suggest cutaway mesh.

    • @TheBabysBooty
      @TheBabysBooty  5 лет назад +1

      Try using a drop of fray block on backside of the design. Jump stitches shouldn't be trimmed if the stitch isn't locked in place first or else they usually will unravel.

    • @TheBabysBooty
      @TheBabysBooty  5 лет назад +1

      Stretchy material calls for a ballpoint needle. Your size needle is fine for that type material. For other general embroidery, try a 90/14 topstitch and see how it works for you!

    i tried putting double sided tape down on the bottom of
    the inter part. the scotch perm double side, and put it on the cross marks, then all you have to do is snap it in the outer. saw it on youtube . got a question, can you tell me whats the difference in the HAx1 (130/705H) 15x1 75/11 and the SAEMB7511? needles

    • @TheBabysBooty
      @TheBabysBooty  6 лет назад

      I am not sure if there is a difference between those needles! In most instances it's the brand that's different, not the needle itself. As long as it's showing 75/11 and it has a flat side to the shank, then you can use it successfully in your embroidery machine.

    How do you position your stabilizer to your marked place without seeing it (cause it is in the back of fabric)? If the stabilizer is not aligned to the upper hoop, you won't be able to have a proper frame and thus you won't have a good embroidery.
    Yes you can say you feel it but most men don't have that sixth sense.
