Just trying to get some kind of rush, trying to feel something, anything, but in the end he gets robbed back and descends deeper into the abyss of nihilism and self loathing. I feel for him
I ended up befriending a bandit after just forking over 100 gold. Ended up doing the speech craft and got a high score. Ended up bribing the guy just do he won't be angry with me. Now he stands out side some abandoned fort.
I can’t describe the feeling of playing that game on my 360 as a 11 year old. It felt exactly like you would expect an adventure rpg to feel, the scenery was so vivid, anything felt possible.
Still remember the first time I met this guy. Was like my third time playing Oblivion💞 I was happily wandering by the roads on my way to Chorrol and I still wasn’t used to the camera zooming into the characters, had the volume on top and when he spoke to me I literally screamed and closed my eyes hahahah even my brothers who were in the same room as me got scared because of my scream hahahaha ohh, the good old days, I love Oblivion so much💞 so many memories✨

Still didn‘t understand anything. I‘ve had many oblivion phases troughout my life. Now I‘m a 14 year old kid who still adores oblivion as I used to when I was scared of caves and being outside of towns and the main quest, aswell as sheogorath. Todd Howard did a great job shaping many peoples memories.

I resumed the next day and a Draugr Lord wonders in immediately shouts me into the back wall while simultaneously triggering three of my rune mines. The resulting cacophony of stacked sounds and bright flashes almost made me shit my pants and legit blew out my soundbar.
Rofl, that Highwayman admitted his defeat and saw that you were the superior robber and thief and that you don't need to cut down people to be able to rob riches. XD Other, gotta love Oblivion and the funny characters in this game!^^

It added a floor bonus to all other character's disposition towards you and how hostility worked was if your disposition was below a certain amount characters would attack you on sight. However, if your fame was high enough your disposition would be high enough that some enemies like bandits that would normally attack you would just let you wander around their camps and you could talk to them (not than any of them would have any unique dialogue.
I remember coming across this guy once, I had made a build so I could turn invisible and when I couldn’t pay him I pulled a lord of the rings and ran off.
In fact this Khajiit is a sort of philosopher/psychologist ; he doesn't really care about the money and just wants to know your sense of priorities and reactions.
This is actually very realistic. He robbed a man, the man took his money back, the Highway man realised it wasn't worth the bother to challenge him again. This is what I'm saying about Bethesda, they create worlds that are teeming with life. Sometimes I forget I'm just in this virtual world created by Todd Howard and his pals.
