- A thank you side project that could potentially turn into something even bigger. Dive in with us as we go through the process of taking the Leroy body down to 1/16 scale, and creating a prototype RC body to fit the 1970 Chevy Chevelle mini no prep drag car by Losi from Horizon Hobby. Through 3d scanning using Creaform, 3d printing and some random materials, we finish the Leroy Replica RC Body. We then take it to the Freedom Factory to present it to @CleetusM to get his thoughts. We're thrilled about not only the Leroy Body making a debut soon, but also excited to see where things go with the RC Body. Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for your support! Earlier this year I stumbled upon r.c drag racing. Holy sht.. Where has this gem been hiding from me !!
Found out there is a track less than 3 miles from my house.. I enjoy seeing the builds videos..Just as in drag racing, there are legends in the r.c world as well

Long time Cleeter fan here and I just want to say something. If yall regularly uploaded videos of your process with making new bodies and whatnot, I'd watch 100%. Your editing is awesome, every video feels very high quality, and im just a huge fan of the work you guys do. I grew up watching monster trucks every week and the fact that yall make bodies for some of them is just amazing. I'm a big fan of yall. I know the youtube videos can be hard to find time for, the editing has to take hours, but you're awesome. Seem like real good people and I'm here for it. Big love to the channel
Thanks man, it means a lot to hear everything you just said. We have made some massive changes over the past few months that will finally let us really sink our teeth into making content. We plan on just amplifying everything and we're taking comments like yours into consideration when deciding what to focus on.

You’ve given a father and son another beautiful moment together. Before even seeing cleet’s reaction or his face or anything I just KNOW he’s going home to show Rip. Imagine it, dad in the pits working on Leroy, with Rip ripping around the RC Leroy.

They can sell body kits for a Losi car without any copyright issues.
Just like you can buy a speed labs body kit for a AE short corse car

Horizon Hobbies needs to do this!! They should just do a “RUclips section” and like each year do a different RUclips personality car. Cleetus car, whistlin diesel vehicle, heavy d, stradman, dde etc.
But we need like 8s versions like Kraton size!
They’ve already done a rc airplane based on Mike Patey’s Draco so it isn’t too far fetched

I think you'd enjoy it if you deep dove into scale rc cars and trucks. You could vacuum form lexan around that printed body

They have magnets you can use to hold the body on. If you adjust the shocks the body won't drag on the ground
Really awesome work. Might want to see if there is a company that can do vacuum molding with the same abs plastics used on RC bodies, thin and flexible. All they would need is the shape of the body, they put it on a vacuum and apply a sheet of warm plastic over top and release the vacuum pressure. It shrinks the hot sheet of plastic perfectly around the shape.

FYI before you start your scan you can just scan the targets and then create a clipping plane and it will 100% ignore the ground when scanning. Makes clean-up a lot easier. I'd also recommend upping your resolution slightly on a small part like that. Might not actually need that level of detail but just helps with accuracy
