Sounds damn good for 2.8. I'm putting on old school real deal side pipes on 02 ext cab should be pretty gnarly!
My 92 sounds nearly the same, 2.5in straight back only a cherry bomb and 90 out behind the passenger tire#popop. Love it!

Sounds like the Hudson Hornet from Cars.
The Hudson Hornets had a flathead inline 6 engine so they had a unique sound to them. The 7X race engine some of the earlier cars had sounded pretty damn gnarly.

mine sounds the same it's a straight piped 2.8 but mine is a 3 inch side pipe

My 1994 chevy s10 has no cats and it has a super ten flow master muffler it sounds cammed but it's not
