really nice sounding engine. I love that "at a stop sign then GET UP and GO/ I know a 67 327 camaro that at a stop sign could go from 0 to 130 on the speedometer and just sit there and do lots of smoke burn out
i love seeing v8 s10's and blazers. i daily one but it bothers me why mines so much quicker than other peoples. but i guess the right combo is the right combo. good gas mileage great power. very quick gears thanks to torque. it just goes like the stink.
@@devan6696 3.42 but im hopefully gonna switch to 3.23 within a year. the axles im looking at from the explorers come in 3.55 and 3.73 flavors but i found a few in the 3.23 and id like the highway gearing of that alot more. i go on long trips sometimes so a couple hundred rpm drop on the highway adds up quickly. i way more than have the power for it.
@@chehystpewpur4754 is your motor built? I have a pretty well stock 350 with flat tops, mild cam, and tbi heads and a 700r4, just wondering how fast I'll be
@@devan6696 mines pretty mild in build standards but shes healthy. vortec 5.7l lunati cam intake and exhaust port cleanup long tube headers mainly just the basics but i worked with what the engine was designed for low end torque. if you have the vortec style tbi heads yours may run good too. i had a 700r4 for less than a month and it was a stage 1 or 2 build. it couldnt handle the torque. i replaced it with a freshened up 4l60e and it lasted about a year or 2 so that was alright but i lost 3rd and 4th gear of all things. so i got a 4l60e with a warranty for 5 years and figure that would get me till i get a 6l80e to swap in. currently im capable of high 11's to low 12's on the street which isnt fast by any means these days. but for a dirt cheap daily driver she handles her business. most stockish v8 swap s10/blazers can do 13's to 14's if you have the traction.
I just put up a video of my stock 5.3 blazer with the same Trans for comparison. Not the best video but I'll have a better one soon. I honestly think yours is pretty close in power

@@nickduggy5267 iv got a 93 s10. I'm putting a vortec 350 stock with carb and intake. I was wanting to use a camaro t5 but was afraid it wouldn't hold up. I may try the full size trans. Thanks
