for breeding (this will allow maximum imprint for most dinos, it's fast but still keeps it fairly tight for timing). mating interval 0.001 (this sets the fastest possible solo breeding times) hatch speed 16.0 mature speed 1.8 baby cuddle 0.1 baby grace period 5.0 baby imprint stat scale 5.0 for taming, just increase taming speed a little but not much (as i think this also increases difficulty aswell but can't remember). if your going to do boss runs don't change the dino stats at all as it increases the bosses stats inflating difficulty.

@@PERCY-1417 well as of now, Genesis, the only way I know of to get full imprinting 100% is with mods that have imprinting brews that instantly max imprint them on PC. 😓😓😓

I was getting smacked by level 100+ dinos and this video really helped me have a fighting chance. I felt kind of cheap making some of these sliders as high as they are because I felt like I wasn't playing authentically. In the end you pretty much have to do these settings for the best experience ARK has to offer. Thank you for getting straight to the point with a concise, informational video. Much luv
I agree that it does feel as if you are cheating or doing something you aren't supposed to, but with the difficulty of the "official" server settings, the game is meant to be played with other people. And, with such an in-depth and detailed customization system to create your own experience, the developers obviously must have wanted you to make it however you wanted to play, not how they wanted you to play.
@@pupilsquad5696 I would say any argy higher than level 40 or so will have decent weight. If you are on PC, the classic flyers mod will also allow you to upgrade their speed.

Mainly, you want to speed most things up in regards to dinosaurs because you don't have a tribe to watch things tame or mature, and because the time doesn't keep going while you aren't playing, and slow some things down so that you don't need to watch things like water constantly.

Having the egg laying so fast killed my fps( sub 30 fps) for some reason. My rexes were popping out eggs like a phioma beeing force fed stimberrys :P I thought it was dinos x 2 causing it but nope it was the eggs for some reason so changed it back to 1x egg laying speed and put dinos back to 2 and fps back upto 60-100fps . Otherwise thanks for the updated video, had been using outdated ones for some time. Only real difference is i preffer having a higher player weight per points.

Hello guys, I want to say something. Dont make the tether distance like "99999999" because it causes extra velocity for dinos when entering water and they gonna fly. Use max size of maps. I used "100" for The Island. Please be carefull with that value it causes many bugs.

If you increase TamingSpeed without increasing DInoFoodConsumption Wyverns can be tamed under 5mins without the need of any milk... makes the early game way too easy. I suggest swapping the multiplier of taming/dino food c.
I've set these rules to my single player game. They are nice but some settings are really overpowered. It's all good, but once I tamed my first Argy (base lvl 80) with meat and no narcotica things derailed. The amount of health and damage per level is sick high and I would recommend lowering these stats. Nice guide overall though!
Cant tell you how much i love you rn. No homo. I have been struggling to even play singleplayer because everything was so easy and hard and wierd. Now i can hopefully beat my first boss
The maximum difficulty button I haven’t tried it yet but does that make the Dino’s 150 even before tame or so I can tame a level 1 and rank him up to 150 cause I see like every where Dino’s can only go up x amount from there original tame level and if not is there a way to do that with out mods and stuff I’m on ps4

Do the settings interfere with the Easter event? I’m on console so I can’t download any mods to fix this but for some reason with these settings all of the dodos and oviraptors from the Easter event are mass producing candies and eggs to the point where my game crashes. It’s really annoying. Is there a setting to fix this?
I'm actually not sure. Interestingly, I saw this same thing happening to someone else, too. It may be an issue with the Easter event itself? Try asking on the subreddit, someone may know the answer.
Altus I just found it out. When you put the egg laying interval to 0.2 it causes the Easter event Dinos to spam Easter event items. If you set it back to 1 it goes back to normal.

I'm after having the same experience that I had when I played ARK for the first time, which was a Single Player experience with nothing but Dinos + other extinct creatures, no mechanical or dragons or any other fantasy stuff... So my question is; Is there a way to use a map (Valguero or any other) and add only pre-historic "real" creatures?
I just combine SP and Extinction server settings with 150 dinos. I think you misunderstood DinoCountMultiplier? Check boxing SP changes Baby mature speed to 36.799 despite showing 1.0 in the gui and several other options such as dino stat multipliers, instead of 0.2 thats showing, it really becomes 0.425. So your making dinos twice as OP as the default SP settings... I think it used to be that SP would override any setting you put, but I could be wrong because it's been so long or might have changed.
I agree with you that most videos out there in regards to single player settings are outdated. However, with these current settings you’ll make the game too easy and not challenging at all. It might be fun for the first days but after a while will get boring. If you’re a new player I advise you to follow his recommendations but tone down by half or more. But ultimately you’ll have to tweak accordingly to your own game style. This is only my opinion
I agree, everyone has their own playstyle. But after what - 5 years or so? - of playing ark, I ultimately enjoy playing on settings that just allow me to have fun but still have a little challenge. Just overall enjoyment instead of grind, you know?

I have a friend that runs a non-dedicated server for me and a couple other people to join in when he's online. I have a character in his non-dedicated server, so my question is... will creating a single player server for myself overwrite the character I have on his server, or will it remain untouched when I create my single player server?
It will remain untouched, every world can use its own character. If it is the same server type (such as 2 singleplayer worlds or 2 dedicated server), you can transfer a character from a different server of that type to your current server. You can't transfer from a singleplayer to a dedicated, though,
Hi Altus my friend used your settings and he invited to his singleplayer server and when we were on stage that we can tame argy and anky I was trying to pick up the anky with argy and it didnt work then he tried and he did it on first try I tried and it didnt work not even with other animals who are tamed we tried to find the fix but we didnt find it can you help us, please?

His settings are wrong. Spoil time, decomposition time, AND Corpse decomposition time should be left at 1. 0 makes dropped items and death bags instantly disappear (no recovery time) This is your problem.
Cool video I have another question if I want to make something in the manufacturer then I press on craft but it is missing what so it is gray. But then I don't see what else I need. It no longer appears what I already have or what I still need. Do you know how to reset that? That you can see what you still need and what you have! Could you answer me Thank you
@@mainbree6960 It's fine :) And, unfortunately, I haven't used that mod much before, so I am not quite sure how to fix it. There are probably some videos on it, though.
Important note on Dino stats: I'm fairly sure the percentage there is actually in number form. Meaning 1.0 actually is 100%, 0.5 is 50%, 5.0 is a 500% increase... etc. So, a value of 1.2 isn't a 1.2% increase... It's a 120% increase, which is more than double the base (increasing something by 100% doubles it.) Not POSITIVE and I know not every value works like this (and ark does a horrible job explaining them in tooltips), but yeah, pretty sure this is correct at least for wild/tame dino stats.

With the egg hatching speed thing be ware that with the Easter event all the Dodos lay egg every half a second
Unfortunately so. It must be a bug with how Wildcard programmed it, but I would assume most player dedicated servers are facing that issue too.

Tamed Dino's Add Per Level should be left alone unless you're taming dinos over max level with modified INI settings. (Weight adjust at most)

So your making dinos twice as OP as the default SP settings... I think it used to be that SP would override any setting you put, but I could be wrong because it's been so long or might have changed.
I'm trying to host my own singleplayer but for some reason I take a shitload of fall damage from the smallest falls anyone know how to fix that?

I agree with you that most videos out there in regards to single player settings are outdated.
However, with these current settings you’ll make the game too easy and not challenging at all. It might be fun for the first days but after a while will get boring.
If you’re a new player I advise you to follow his recommendations but tone down by half or more.
But ultimately you’ll have to tweak accordingly to your own game style.
This is only my opinion
I agree, everyone has their own playstyle. But after what - 5 years or so? - of playing ark, I ultimately enjoy playing on settings that just allow me to have fun but still have a little challenge. Just overall enjoyment instead of grind, you know?

On the cuddle interval multiplier you changed the one under it (Baby cuddle grace period multiplier) to 0.4. Is that correct or was it accidental?

I have a friend that runs a non-dedicated server for me and a couple other people to join in when he's online. I have a character in his non-dedicated server, so my question is... will creating a single player server for myself overwrite the character I have on his server, or will it remain untouched when I create my single player server?
It will remain untouched, every world can use its own character. If it is the same server type (such as 2 singleplayer worlds or 2 dedicated server), you can transfer a character from a different server of that type to your current server. You can't transfer from a singleplayer to a dedicated, though,

Hi Altus my friend used your settings and he invited to his singleplayer server and when we were on stage that we can tame argy and anky I was trying to pick up the anky with argy and it didnt work then he tried and he did it on first try I tried and it didnt work not even with other animals who are tamed we tried to find the fix but we didnt find it can you help us, please?

6:34 you say “move baby cuddle interval multiplier to 0.4” but you change the grace period multiplier instead. Was that on purpose or was it just a slip of the tongue ?
I was just talking fast, so I took the "grace period" out of "baby cuddle grace period interval."

It may have to do with the repair mod, though I'm not exactly sure.

Spoil time, decomposition time, AND Corpse decomposition time should be left at 1.
0 makes dropped items and death bags instantly disappear (no recovery time)

Important note on Dino stats:
I'm fairly sure the percentage there is actually in number form. Meaning 1.0 actually is 100%, 0.5 is 50%, 5.0 is a 500% increase... etc.
So, a value of 1.2 isn't a 1.2% increase... It's a 120% increase, which is more than double the base (increasing something by 100% doubles it.)
Not POSITIVE and I know not every value works like this (and ark does a horrible job explaining them in tooltips), but yeah, pretty sure this is correct at least for wild/tame dino stats.
