CORRECTION: For Creature food drain, I mixed it up, you need to use 1.3 not 0.7

higher value cause creature to get hunger faster... I think it was correct with 0.7

Are we sure about the Torpidity thing under the Wild Dino Settings? I only ask because the wording when you mouse over the entry state "The scaling factor for the amount of Torpidity gained by tamed creatures as a percentage of the default setting." . Which is also the wording when you mouse over all the other stats...Substitute Torpidity for whatever other stat you're mousing over. So unless I'm understanding this wrong, wouldn't that mean that the Dino's aren't knocked out any easier by this number being reduced but rather once they are tamed they gain only 70% bonus to the stat instead of the full 100% that would have gained by reducing this to .7? Just wondering.

@@shxdowatk3131 console barrier? Are you talking about the tether that keeps players near the host? That's never getting removed, if anything it might get increased in the future, but I doubt it.
Great Job, look forward to trying out your settings because I set them yesterday and it only took me 4hrs to reach a level 70. Also, the harvesting was all over the place, not getting enough and then the Trees, Rocks, etc..... breaking too fast. Thank you for taking the time to put this out so fast.

Are Dinos respawning for you in singleplayer
Thank you man. Been playing PVE for 3 years straight and I quit the game without beating all bosses. official required way too much efforts (MAX dinos, breeding day and night etc.) and I found myself doing the same in ASA, so I will give SP a try.
This game is intended to push you to play all day to breed and grind on the official servers. Playing for hours to just fill the feeding through, imprinting or waiting eggs to hatch was not fun after doing it 100 times.

I'm gonna play host solo here, because the official servers is not good right now, roll back , disconect, servers going down all the time, etc. Thx for this video, I never played host solo before, so I wanted some cfg for me to get a better experience and not getting bored playing with bad configs :D

You were the first person to make a single player settings fast option I would love a STORY mode survival setting video I tweaked a few to be harder and i just read ur correction gonna change it now lol. Also need a way to make it so u can get enough points for EVERY engram so u dont have to respec to make saddles currently I am using a cryo mod / Utilities mod / Pull feature mod / Auto engram type mod that unlocks them per level but u still have to earn Tek and such.
If I could find about 6 or so people who wana do a Story mode play thru thats challange and fun and satisfying hit me up ill host it.
Yeah I used to use a mod on evolved called autoengrams that would give you all the engrams for the level you are at
@ConCon ya I'm at 8k hours played thousands of exp and servers and mod I prefer not to use them but edit for more points is a pain.

If you want stronger tames, you may turn off movement speed for land and flying tames, this will make so the points when you tame dinos will not distribute to movement speed stat and will instead be distributed to other stats, this will also help to not have useless stat points to movement speed when the dinos are in the wild.

Be warned that setting the Taming Speed up too high can ruin certain high-level taming situations (if you are trying to get maximum Taming Affinity) Rapid taming timers can reduce the number of Taming Effectiveness events that occur during certain special tames, and thus cause you to fail at getting the full Tame Effectiveness 100% bonus. This can be countered by changing the Baby Imprint settings but I’m not sure of exactly what they would need to be at

@@im_theblonde I’m not an expert myself, but I know there is a sweet spot for certain creatures where if the taming is too fast then you won’t have the time to get the full bonus. I would recommend searching the web for that specific topic, or just some trial and error in creative mode to pin point your own sweet spot
@@im_theblondeI woulnt go above 4x tbh. Which is already super fast for singleplayer. So prob like 2x with singleplayer settings active

I increased carry weight for Dinos. In multiplayer you usually have a team of player carrying stuff. Maybe one farmer and multiple people carrying it all back to base, so increasing the carry weight I felt was a good idea to get closer to the same efficiency.
These settings had boosted carry weight but yes you can increase it more to your liking

Love these settings I only upped the fort an oxygen😂 and platform limit structure to over 2 mill lol I love to build treehouses an full villages from tree to tree.

It was just one haha the dino food drain. Its not such a big deal, just slows down taming to not be as fast

i believe having high supply crate isnt always optimal. i play on 3 and still get asc, IIRC having max on it gives you good blue prints but they require MAD resources to craft.
Well it's up to you, trying days to get the right drop can be frustrating on single player. It's easier to grind the resources instead

its 6 for 180
I honestly wish they would just drop the difficulty settings altogether like you said it kinda makes it worse at low difficulty and it can be confusing should just be default 150 dinos for everything and just balance the loot accordingly

levels for dinos wont update until they die and respawn
do a dinowipe
Open console in game by pressing Tilde key (above tab key). Type "DestroyWildDinos". You'll need to wait a bit for dinos to respawn, be patient.

I’m new to Ark and I’m on ASA and I decided to switch my settings to everything shown here. I guess everything for me was set on default because that’s how I started my world. I was already level 90 before making this switch so I’m not sure if I should keep your settings or not.
I’ll admit, everything was just too easy for me before I made this switch, so it was getting slightly boring. But, I just spawned back in my world to find a pack of wolves right in front of my base. My flying dinosaur is dead now and I’m stuck in the snow biome. I also almost died 💀

Are there any downside to have the supply crate quality on 5? Will i risk not be able to craft the blueprints or something? Some BP neeeds 50K hide/fiber or 10k Metal, will i be able to craft these without the need for a replicator?

I have found that the harvest health does not actually increase the yield instead it takes longer to get the same yield. I was getting 3-4 stone per hit at x10 and at x3 I'm getting like 15-20 stone per hit. I'm assuming it's a bug since it says in the tooltip that it increases the yield but it actually doesn't.
Oh really? in ASE it worked, how did you test it?
I tested it on single player ASA. I noticed when I increased it the per hit was significantly lower and I was still getting the same average around 80-120 stone per rock except now I was only getting like 3-4 stone per hit. Then I switched to x3 and I was getting 15-20 stone per hit and still getting 80-120 average per stone. @@ConCon
so what setting should we go with here then? low harvest health, breaks item quicker but same yield? yes?
When i go to the work settings i cant put my taming speed op to 4, it is max at 3 same with harversting multiplier. Why is that? Maybe becouse im on platstation?

So far I'm liking the stats on it that you provided I did my note run and bout to do some base building soon I'm loving the Forest grass on pvp servers I can literally hide anything in it sense it's so tall. The only way I can see over that grass is 3rd person just to run through it lol which is causing me to change screen all the time

Not really, you have to set the mature speed and cuddle timer very specifically to each creature
Nice video! I used your settings, and somehow it didn’t match the dododex data, making taming and breeding harder than it should be. Can you give me a suggestion for config a small server for like 4-6 ppl? Even if I turn the single player option off, and adjust the dododex multiplier to equal the server, it does not match. Maybe it was the food drain and torpor rates? Can you give me some advice? Any help would be appreciated. 😊
I believe it may have been the food drain setting, I had used the reverse number in the video by accident but added a pinned comment with the correction

How do I get the beams of light back to indicate where loots drops are? I followed this video months back and cant find loot drops and it's annoying. Someone please help me.

I’m confused in why you recommend max difficulty (150) for newer players? Because I struggle fighting or taming level 50s in default settings with hard difficulty and I have high rarity weapons
Because you can't beat the bosses with anything lower. If you playing on easy you will basically never beat the bosses unless you boost your dinos stats in settings by A LOT
I have no problem with long farming and stuff like that. So I let the default option. But I was looking for something to make the game more...... playable.... I mean, I always play at highest difficulty in EVERY games, but here, it's surprising lol. It's harder than The Forest and every survival games I played. Conan exiles difficulty is ridiculous next to Ark... Here I get one shot by dino every seconds and the water is more dangereous than ground lol... There is so much life everywhere, big mad dino every meters.. I spawn in a easy spot, but I can't even find a good place to build a house, I always get killed, unless I build my house directly on the beach at the spawn lol. But I want to explore, to find the 'perfect' spot... I tamed a flying dino, but I need level 38 to mount it and it get killed by a big turtle thing... lol what a extraordinary universe to explore.
Well the hardest thing in ark is just not knowing everything, the game becomes really straight forward once you know how everything works, where is safe, where is not etc. Once you understand all these things, its just a grind to make the progress
Lore wise, you are 'the one who tries again', that magical lady cutscene at the start gave you the ability to respawn and honestly thats what drives me through my worst deaths hahah
So say your taming multiplayer is set to x2. If you turn on single player settings does it jump to x4.5? Or does it stay at x2.5 (single players default)?

I set up settings in a way I think would be good but I’m also wondering whether I should have that enabled or if it will make everything scale too high .. I love how many options they offer but I can’t remember what settings I used to like so first time setup is confusing haha
Hello! I was wondering if you can get wild dinos over lvl 150 by deffault or if you need to do the same thing we do in Ark Evolved to get wild dinos over lvl 150
I was wondering this because I plan on buying it for console and wanted to play with wild dinos that can be lvl 180 and i think it was like 220 something for tek wild dinos.

Yes you can, set difficulty to 5 and turn max difficulty off. Just beware, this makes the bosses harder too but you get level 180 dinos

doesnt changing wild/tamed dino settings mess up the dododex calculators? i do use it quite a bit but i also want my single player experience to seem "fair"

Hey i misscliked and put all back to normal, so i did all teh settings again but it seems that they dont work now is it normal ? like I have to wait 45 mins between imprints when it used to be 2-5 mins ? can someone help :(

Any time you want, just do dino wipe by typing this into the console:
DestroyWildDinos
This deletes the wild creatures and lets the new ones respawn.
So I clicked item names in my inventory by accident and it says over tools tips press x to remove them and nothing happens. Any advice ? Its very annoying

Click the number and type it in, if it resets to 10 then that's the highest it can go sadly

You can't change the tether sadly
Yes you can change this! it is under game rules, rules , Non dedicated tethering disctance. The highest distance possible is 2,147,483,647.

Hmmm well we changed the torpidity only under the "wild" section. In my tests it did seem to make creatures knock out in fewer tranq arrows than normal.
Does anyone know if the resource respawning bug exists in this game? Like in Ark Survival Evolved, if you harvested a bunch of metal, left the area, and logged before it respawned, it would essentially never respawn unless you activated cheats and sped up time by 1000x. Curious as to what I should set my no resource radius to to prevent this if the bug still exists.
