I beat the island single player with character level 105. Uploaded the character at one of the obelisks, downloaded in the scorched earth recently. How do I learn scorched earth engrams without use of cheats?
Well I just started playing ARK a few weeks ago. I had NO idea that I was suppose to be trying to beat the map. I’ve just been chilling on the beach making my base and taming some Dino’s. 😂😂😂 I’m level 72 I think? And I have hardly anything. I don’t even travel into the jungle areas!! Oh boy! I got some catching up to do! Love the video!
That's pretty normal for a new player haha, take your time and explore and experience everything. This is just to guide you on how to get to the next step if you ever feel stuck or lost
@stevenm2216 he was using that to not spend so much time doing stuff? This game takes over 300 hours, of course he's using cheats! He wasn't trying to hide it if he was flying and even had the cheat menu in the bottom left, built in.
Holy cow, this is waaaaaay more complicated than I thought. I was expecting something like The Forest game, but this is way far more difficult. I mean, I just made some spears yesterday and thought i was ready for war.
Idk if people realize how long this video probably took to put together. This such a well put together video and guide and easy to understand. You deserve way more subs bro.
Couple things: 1: Great video, entertaining and informative 2: You made this so visually perfect that I can understand WITHOUT AUDIO 3: Realized my playstyle is wrong (cutting corners, not smart) because of this 4: Never even thought about megatherium for spiders, thanks for the idea 5: Made everything much easier on everyone 6: So you just earned a new viewer
I love this guide. This guide has told me things that I would never think of like using sparkpowder as fuel or using campfires for breeding dinos for higher stats. Definitely recommended for beginners who are starting Ark.
For me using sparkpowder for Campfires seemed just like a waste, because I had problems gathering stone for my base ( hadn't the dino for this). Never thought it would be faster to use this
I’d still use wood for campfires / forges. This is because burning wood gives you charcoal, and charcoal and sparkpowder gives you gunpowder, and gunpowder gives you bullets, and you’re gonna need hella bullets to get caves and bosses done
For those who didn’t know before (my friends didn’t) you can also turn the scrap metal you find from tek Dino’s and broken ships (fjordur) to get a 1:1 ratio of scrap metal ingots which work exactly the same way as normal metal
Actually, Tek creatures can be a pretty good way to get some of the more rare/valuable resources. The scrap can be made into metal ingots and I think you can also harvest oil from them if I recall. If you don't want to deal with ocean dives, frozen north, or it's still pretty early game, farming Tek creatures like the parasaurs can be a pretty good way for metal/oil early on.
@@bloodwolfgaming9269 Apparently the amount you get doesn't depend on level, so you can breed them without worrying about the stats at all (some say you want the food stat higher; I'll experiment a bit and see). Just get a male and a female, stick a campfire next to the eggs to get 'em warm enough, and stick some food in 'em. You don't have to worry about imprinting them, because it won't make a difference. Then you stick the females next to the male (Ark doesn't have a mechanic for inbreeding--then again, maybe that's how they explain the mutations!), and kill the males. If you have a trike or a stego, then you probably already have more berries than you know what to do with, so now you can turn them into useful resources.
I have played over 2k hours in Ark. But never played The Island map. This really helps for the locations. Much appreciated. Before Ark 2 comes out, I wanted to beat ALL maps. Just need to beat Alpha on Lost Island. Then I will start a new play through on the Island. Be well brother!
Best Guide I've ever seen. It's both thorough and compact. Mad Respect Man, IT'S SOO HARD NOT TO RAMBLE, but you've done a marvelous job. Thanks a Ton!
I know this is a little late but you don't know how much I appreciate people like you! Such an amazing video, I'm sure you've put a lot of work in it. Thank you so much!
As someone who recently returned to ark and wanted to beat the island to start it all off with, I really really love this video. You make everything seem so simple, so easy to go to and it makes me actually believe the game is much easier and you can upgrade much quicker, than what i'm doing myself lol. If a new player actually watched this vid, they would get very far, very quickly than some of us who are lvl 50 already and still live in a tree cube with hide armor and barely any metal.
The best part about Ark is the build up and experiencing everything for the first time. I wish I could relive Ark for the first time everytime. I used to scream going through the swamp 😂 now I just skip through there booping sarcos on the nose and dodging capros take me back in time. This game is awesome
Same here I feel this! The Redwoods used to be so scary, I wouldn't even dare set one foot under those dark canopies! But now with a powerful mount I don't fear a thing in there. It's great going through that experience. :3
I'm currently doing my first serious playthrough, semi blind. Currently scouting for a permanent or semi permanent mainland base location. Currently living on herbivore island, technically one of the tiny islands near the entrance to the lagoon. I'm sick of how long it takes to get to the mainland, and how the dinos appear to have stopped spawning on my island. So i want a mainland base that is practical to get bigger dinos to, and closer to better resource nodes. Very sick of my pteranodon running out of stamina while not having a safe landing spot, and subsequently getting eaten by raptors or worse. (I am very tempted to make a network of towers to land on for safer travel.)
The sheer magnitude and options this game provides you with is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. It is the only game I have ever played that demands to be conquered, not beaten. A playthrough of this game offers so much customization and entropy that each person's experience is going to be entirely different. On default settings with no mods, I think it is easily the most soul-crushing and difficult game ever made, and I will stand by this forever. It is so easy to lose everything you have, and I mean everything, within the blink of an eye. Those moments where you die and your flyer gets killed always happen when you have a feeling of invincibility. It's easy to figure out what you need to do, but it is incredibly difficult to plan on how to do it given the state in which your island spawned. Nobody talks about just how intense and stressful things can get. Games people describe as the most difficult, your Dark Souls, Ninja Gaidens, etc., have an intended and linear path to progression that demands mastery of the game mechanics. There are no stylish combat mechanics in this game. Sure, you can craft guns or find an ascendant weapon, but the animation is always the same. You won't ever have something that can kill everything and anything. A single click will swing/shoot your weapon and it will deliver a consistent number of damage every time, as is the same for most dinos and enemies. In that way, everything in this game is an equal. If you lose a fight in ark, you've been simply outclassed by a bigger and more imposing force. You are thrown into a harsh and violent world, with many areas hurting the player just by standing there, and you figure out slowly that in order to succeed you must reach a level of power, production, and damage output that surpasses everything on the island. It's the most realistic depiction of what the 'animal world' is like in a video game. Everything wants to eat and kill each other, which includes you.
Hey i just wanted to say i saw that you respond to all the comments and i just really appreciate it because not too many creators do that and it makes me love your content even more
I've been playing ark for a few years now and watching videos for even longer but I still never beaten the map, although I knew everything you've said I know that if I was a new player I would've learned a lot simply because of how clearly you explained everything. Great video.
Believe it or not, the algorithm detected I just bought ARK on Xbox and decided your video would be the best guide on how to pretty much start the game off right. You have been blessed by RUclips today :)
i remembered playing this a while back and just chilling till lvl 100 with my base and some tamed dinos. idk i can mate them, breed stronger/better version of them, or even care to check how to fight the bosses although i've check out the altars a few times. then i started watching syntax and was blown away with how much i can still do and what i missed. but i was still unclear with the whole steps on what i should do to progress. watching this video, im gonna try it again.
Me and a few of my friends just started our first playthrough and, I never realized how much more there is to this game. I'm confused as it is. This guide really helps us newbies out
i got ark for Christmas this year and i didnt really know what i was doing and i found this guide and it was super helpful, i will definitely watch more of your videos❤️
this is like hands downt he greatest guide to ark ive seen. You not only show the content, but you explain why and in a simple manner that people who haven't played can understand. It shows them the progression: x is what you should be doing at y time in your play through. Sure somethings could of been explained "better" but my god I wish i had this video in 2015 when i started LOL
i JUST FOUND THIS VIDEO. Honestly, THE VERY BEST Ark Survival Evolved guide out there (I had no idea there are bosses, iron man suit or many other things, I never made it that far in the game). Thank you.
I’m just at the beginning and I’ve tamed my first flyer but I decided to click this video to be prepared for the insanity of ark and I’ve got to say, you have taken an hour of my time and I will not complain about it. Thanks a lot for the crazy info and you have earned a new sub. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna start watching the rest of your videos.
I just started playing the game last week, and i have had trouble getting the flying mount to stay asleep after i knocked it out, i didnt know you had to force feed it narcotics to make it stay asleep. Thank you!
Amazingly well put together video. I never beat the Island before in my 1000+ hours of play (too ADD, would lose patience and just start a different map). It's insane how much depth there really is to this game. Just started a new playthrough of the Island and this time I'm gonna ascend thanks to this video!
@ConCon back to tell you my save file got corrupted after 70+ hours so I started a new run and Ragnarok instead and beat that. Will go back eventually for Island but ngl almost rage quit over that happening 😅
I recently started playing ARK, about 2-3 weeks ago and already reached 100h playtime on steam. I'm enjoying this game pretty much, especially because I love any game of survival genre. So, now I reached late game, where I can craft almost every stuff (except Tek, of course), and my problem is about what should I do next. I'm glad that I found this guide, because it helped me a lot in understanding of how these bosses are look like and how to kill them, and also set my plans straight to taming and breeding, which seems like the most important trouble I would experience fighting these bosses. So yeah, thanks a lot, really love playing Ark, and after completing The Island would definitely watch your Scorched Earth guide ❤️
I got Ark a few years ago to play with some friends for fun. Then I never played it again, I just recently bought a PS5 and wanted to try it again just for fun again. And I looked for a guide and came across this video my god 💀 I didn't know this game was so deep and difficult. My respects for making this video, very entertaining to watch and can't even imagine the effort. Tip my hat 🎩
Oh wow this is crazy in depth. My daughter just got ark and I plan to surprise her today after school and tell her I got it too so we can play together. This will be super helpful for us aa we venture forth tkgether. I had no idea there was a goal aside from not dying lol.
Tame any shoulder pet asap as they act like a backpack decreasing the weight of items you give them, like an otter which has the added bonus of allowing you to carry up to 5 of the same artifacts at once rather than one. Don't live off of basic food like cooked meat, make a custom recipe that will be very material efficient and give you a great stamina and water/food boost with a cooking pot or industrial cooker, where you can also make special recipes like battle tartar, focal chili, mindwipe tonic etc. Mindwipe tonic resets your stat/engram points so you can reuse them, this is great for funneling them all into crafting skill prior, which decreases the time it takes to craft things, and more importantly, greatly increases the stats of items crafted from non-primitive blueprints. Also use focal chili before this because it also increases crafting skill for a limited time. You can also make a oil/metal/electronic/element farm by breeding tek dinosaurs (like parasaurs) and then murdering their young
great vid thank you. been playing solid for 3 weeks at leval 96 at moment . playing on the xbox and like others i had no idear of what i was went to do and how and like others no doubt just stayed on beach at the beginning i tryed to go into wild and dyed every time . just wish i watched your clip at the start it would of saved so much time playing . tamed my first trex yesterday before that i had quite a zoo and no idear of what i need and why . and to be onist even at leval 97 i still had no idear of were to go and how not to get lost . many times running into something nasty . now after watching your vid i have a idear of what and were to go so today i set out to get things done with a clue on were to go for all i need . once again big thanks great vid .
I am gonna do everything you said word by word so i can beat the map with my friends i dont care how long it takes i am going to try it. Thank you for this amazing video
On default setting it will took forever to beat the Island if you play like 1-2 hours a day. But if you modify your settings (You can find on internet best settings) and if you know "how to beat a game" (how to teleport in boss fight arena etc.) it will take maybe a mounth or 2. Great video and great guide, I will recommed you to all new player I konw.
I've been playing with no goal in mind, mainly because I found the story progression hard to follow. However fun that may be by itself, this has been a huge help and having it all in one video. Make a Masterclass, I'd buy XDXDXD
Thank you so much for this video, we just started playing Ark and we did NOT realize how complex the game is and how much you need to strategize! I'm so excited to boot our server up to play with this new information!
I've recently started playing the island map on singleplayer. about a week now. I thought I was well into mid game... turns out I've bearly scratched the surface thanks for making this vid. its actually given me a list of goals to work towards instead of just wondering around taming every dino I find. I stumbled onto the artifact of the hunter I think , my base is very close to its cave. had no idea what it was used for so I just put it on a pedestal in my base. so yeah... back to work I guess. I have a feeling this is going to take me months to do by myself.
Love the notes on the boss access and strategies. Also love the mention of using sparkpowder as a fuel. Did not know that, and I have played a lot of videos!
I literally just scrolled through the comments and couldn't find one that you hadn't replied to!🤣Thanks for this guide. It has helped me progress from dying everytime trying to tame dinos to having a T-Rex.
As an experienced Survivor, I can confirm that this video is very detailed and very helpful for new players. If I could watch this 2 years ago, I think it could have helped me a lot. I learned everything in the harsh way.
Well, that is nice to say since making videos is a bit of work, but highly experienced players and educators will note hundreds of details yet to be addressed, all of which new players have to learn by experience. Truthfully it isn't possible to cover all the details in even a 5 hour video, but many can be demonstrated in a video series, with each episode lasting at least an hour. Many lovers of the game have done just that, so there is no shortage of videos to watch, even though most video makers skip, or skim over most of the details about how they did something. Of course this means a new player has to have enough foresight to start with the first video and stay the course until they can master the processes required to make progress before starting the next video in the series.. Most players won't do that and that is why you will see sleeping players all over the maps until a meat eater cleans up the players avatar after they have left the game. This game is not only frustrating to play, it is also NOT intuitive.
This video renewed my desire to play this some more. I was getting to the point of quitting due to the lack of noticeable end game, only seemed like an endless grind.
@@miketilton6393 For most players the game is an endless grind for resources, which only gets worse when a player decides to do the Tek grind. It starts with the never ending need for black pearls, and gets worse with the need for element to something can be made and used.
Love your video; super informative for old and new players alike, and the sheer amount of info here is astounding. But you forgot one seriously crucial bit of information that I just had to experience firsthand and that's that you lose EVERYTHING you bring with you when into the tek cave when you beat boss. Regardless if it's Gamma, Beta, or Alpha, you lose every bit of Tek and every single tame you brought. So please let this warn those who don't know, but do NOT take anything you want to keep.
As of recent patches, it'll teleport any dino still in the Overseer's chamber to the entry of the Tek Cave. This does mean anyone who is between the tek cave entry or the opening tek run is screwed however, and you need to transfer inventory to one of these dinos quickly if you want to keep any of the items you gained defeating the Overseer.
This video helped me so much, I was not sure if I wanted to beat ark because of the time investment, but with this guide (and a higher resource multiplier) I am on my way, tysm!
as a 16k hour ARK veteran, I must say this video is suprisingly dense packed with basicly all infos you'll need to succeed on The Island and further out. You added many hints and tips which a new player will only accumulate over a long playtime. Even I learned something. Good content. You sir sparked the wish to even start a new ARK cluster - what a great game. take my upvote and subscribtion ❤- how to pronounce Pteranodon correctly without breaking your tounge: the P is silent: Pteranodon (/tɪˈrænədɒn/) - you're welcome
@@ConCon Great video! There was SO MUCH I didn't know at these lower levels (mostly about spark powder). Also regarding pronunciation (and you aren't the only one): chitin is pronounced KITE'n.
I have 8k hrs in official and unofficial PvP and i still found this video great! 1thing that everyone misses is make parachutes and med brews asap. Its so easy and will save you travel time and death. I miss the days in the beginning. New players really have such a good adventure infront of them. Goodluck survivors
@@ConCon Med Brews should always be something to carry, it makes weather irrelevant completely. You did mention them in your video but only for caves for some reason. Why bother with any armor besides flak in that case?
Figured out why I had such a hard time getting into this game. It's the island map. I kept thinking it was me doing something wrong losing my dinosaurs, but they literally get caught on a rock or between some trees, and then just sit there. Never once had that issue on Ragnarok, been playing on the island for the past three hours, I've lost EVERY SINGLE creature. Like if I put a tracker on them, I can find them again, stuck amongst clutter .. but those things don't work all the time as I lost all the nodes at once for some reason. Honestly can't wait for them to come out with more of the community maps that are free. I'm on the Switch, and love it despite that terrible tracking that I've just come across after over a week in Ragnarok and less than two hours in The Island.
@@ConCon The density of the trees makes it so difficult! I have hollowed out paths through the landscape now. Can't wait for the other community maps, and I really need to get the DLC, as it's half off on Switch right now. 👍👍 Cheers!
You playing on switch!? 😂 Good luck. I hear the mobile version is way better than playing on a switch. I have ark on my PlayStation and the mobile version on my tablet
Wait until you try to craft the Tek stuff, assuming you can get the Boss games done without too many setbacks. You will need a lot of black pearls, something not so easy to come by on the Island map/ARK, as well as other things that are often in short supply. Expect the Tek gear to take more than a few months of collecting rare things and many struggles and setbacks.
Started playing ark a week ago, this guide will be very helpful. I'm currently in the early game (iron) and not making much progress because I keep dying over and over and getting my Dinos killed. This has motivated me to try again (with some of the mods mentioned).
started ark a few weeks ago struggled almost cried and quit then I just made my meelee dmg inf in the settings and then the game became boring but then now I have an urge to play ark with hard work again to feel that sense of overpoweredness after hardwork and accomplishment didnt know how I would do that didnt know what do I do here this video gave an amazing and spectacular guide on what to do after every step
@@ConCon it has definetly been a very fun experience I have already almost completed a house using wooden walls and it was very fun underestimating the power of a common raptor it was running around a place where I was settling so I attacked it with a spear and I T L U N G E D A T M E and ohko'ed me
That was an excellent video man, really appreciate all the time you took to explain the little things and how structured it all felt. So helpful, all new players should watch this.
This video was so helpful!!! I’ve played ark mobile a lot and I’ve finally gotten a good enough PC to play the real version of ark. And I knew about all the boses and stuff but I didn’t know how to get to them or the best strategies to kill them. This video was really informative thanks so much!!!
Iv played ark on an off for years, saw loads of videos for various stuff but I have to say this is the most informative ark tutorial iv seen, even learned something my self 👍
Wow, my girlfriend and I just started playing this a couple weeks ago. Amazing video thank you so much for your time and effort into such a top quality guide! Definitely will be using your video for reference.
Should note raptors are pretty much always in packs of 3 so be careful if you're trying to tame a raptor. The others will attack you regardless of how far away they are as soon as you engage one of them. You should carry at least 3 bola if you're going raptor taming
The better strategy is to go hunting with a max level Dino gifted by a highly experienced player that loves to breed the best dinosaurs, like the T Rex, or Giga. You use the bola, crossbow, or long neck rifle while off the max level Dino, and hop on before anything can bite you. Shooting off the max level Dino has been handicapped by the game programming, so it is nearly impossible to get a good, clean shot off, but you can try. The key is being able to build a good trap for the task, the problem is official servers normally have pillars all over the place making it impossible to build a trap where you need it. Building on a modified raft sometimes works, but your big Dino cannot ride on it and the game doesn't allow players to tie on a rope to the raft and drag it around. You can use cryopods to get around some of the programming limitations, but even then it often isn't easy to work it out in a timely manner.
@@wastedwatts so the better strategy is to have a friend who is better at the game hold your hand through? Wow who would have thought letting someone else make all the effort would be easier 😂😂😂
@@wastedwatts or just pick the raptor you want, bola it last, kill the others while they're locked in place then tranq the one you want. Bola again if necessary.
My god, this is an absolute gem of a video! How much time and effort must have gone into this is just beyond my imagination. Thanks SO MUCH for this guide! :D
The main problem I have in the beginning is the weight limits. It makes getting these resources in the necessary amounts so damn hard due to the grind. It goes: leave base to harvest, run to base to store it, run back out to harvest more, run back to base. Dinos are either land based and slow as hell (they do help with the extra carry weight) or flying dinos like the pteranodon that cannot carry squat so..in the end with the limitations you repeat that process everyday for a month and you're halfway to what you need to truly get started on the game lol
I usually play with carry weight mods so I can carry a lot more, but that is something vanilla is hard with, you need to use stegos and stuff to carry your things. Use the dinos you have
I strongly suggest taming an argentavis as they get reduced weight on alot of resources, can carry quite a few useful dinos and even can fight fairly well. It's almost always the first or second tame I go for and my personal fav for qol
Easily the best choice early on is to level weight up to something reasonable. I rush mine to 300 and push my first parasaur to about 7-800. Remember you have weight too so you can fill your dino inventory and have them follow you back instead of riding.
@@hi14993 How do you get dinos up to higher levels like that? I can't find anything past about 35 tops on the island, and XP tends to stagnate at level 80ish when I level them up.
1. I want to say it is an incredible guide. Thank you for that. 2. When I want to kill the alpha bosses. What level whould you recommend my dinos to be?
Any time, depending on your server or game difficulty setting you want your dinos to be 80% higher than the max wild dino level. So if your max wild dinos are 150, you want them to be at least 250 or higher. Higher the better.
Got ark back when it came out. Didn't even know there was this many bosses in the game but I don't have that many hours in the game. Wildd love the game and the guide thank you
Great info I've been playing ark for almost a year off and on, this is the most information I've ever gotten out of anyone thank you I've changed a lot of things started breeding and have advanced so much on what I've seen from your videos keep up the amazing work
On one hand this is easily the best starter vid I've ever seen and it'd be amazing to see this for every map. Seriously, I cannot stress how good and in-depth this video was. On the other, hand your pronunciation of 'pteranadon' physically brought me pain. The P is silent :-:
Ah, come on! These names are not part of our daily words, so naturally most of us will guess how they are suppose to be pronounced. If you want perfection, go to a university and find a hard nosed English professor with more than a few pet-peeves.
@@wastedwatts Not really about wanting perfection. Just informing someone who doesn't know how something is pronounced, how something is pronounced lol. Not like we're bashing him or anything, I pronounced chitin wrong for years until I heard someone else (another ARK youtuber, ironically) pronounce it right and then looked it up myself.
Wow, I'm amazed by your dedication to respond to every single comment! It's rare to see someone who takes the time to engage with their audience on such a personal level. Your commitment shows how much you value and appreciate your viewers. Keep up the fantastic work, and thank you for being so responsive and connected to your community!

U are quite litirally my favorite ark RUclipsr u put too much effort into everything making imprinting 100% on your RUclips videos 😂 i have 931 hours on ark and never beat a map sadly but I’m half way through thanks to you
I have been playing for a couple of years. I find the taming a little annoying, but nothing as annoying than imprinting and breeding. Imprinting and breeding are the bain of the entire game for me. You have to feed it at certain times and it takes time for them to grow up, which I have it instantly. Then in order to get a good dino, you have to make sure they are breeded with better ones, and probably have to go through several dinos in order to get the best one. I like fast pasting stuff, since I am playing a game.
Quick note: If you take the cementing paste out of the dam, then... well, it ain't got paste in it. But if you take out all the wood as well (you'll probably have to dump it), the dam will break down. The Castroides will make new ones (i.e., new ones will respawn, even if you kill all the dire beavers), and you can go back and get it again. On group servers, it's considered common decency to empty the dams when you get paste so that others can use it.

For me using sparkpowder for Campfires seemed just like a waste, because I had problems gathering stone for my base ( hadn't the dino for this). Never thought it would be faster to use this
just uses AC
I’d still use wood for campfires / forges. This is because burning wood gives you charcoal, and charcoal and sparkpowder gives you gunpowder, and gunpowder gives you bullets, and you’re gonna need hella bullets to get caves and bosses done
Did anyone notice that this guy comments on almost EVERY comment… respect bro
Yup I reply to every comment on all my videos
For those who didn’t know before (my friends didn’t) you can also turn the scrap metal you find from tek Dino’s and broken ships (fjordur) to get a 1:1 ratio of scrap metal ingots which work exactly the same way as normal metal
Yes that is true
Actually, Tek creatures can be a pretty good way to get some of the more rare/valuable resources. The scrap can be made into metal ingots and I think you can also harvest oil from them if I recall. If you don't want to deal with ocean dives, frozen north, or it's still pretty early game, farming Tek creatures like the parasaurs can be a pretty good way for metal/oil early on.
@@bloodwolfgaming9269 they give you Electronics and Element Dust as well, really good loot. So yeah, really spares you a lot of resource trips
@@bloodwolfgaming9269
Apparently the amount you get doesn't depend on level, so you can breed them without worrying about the stats at all (some say you want the food stat higher; I'll experiment a bit and see).
Oh, a 1:1 ratio, eh? I just assumed it was the same as Metal.
Started playing this as a group but others got bored and this really helped as It’s my first time playing
I'm glad to hear that!
It sucks when that happens but Fortune favors the brave
Steven Dude it really does was hard to keep the materials up to date too when you play by yourself

Good luck! I'm so hyped for Ark 2 as well. You gotta beat them before Fjordur comes out in June haha

You are so kind thank you!
Hahaha once you know what to do, its easy. Its hard when you DONT know what to do next
@@ConCon exactly!
The best part about Ark is the build up and experiencing everything for the first time. I wish I could relive Ark for the first time everytime. I used to scream going through the swamp 😂 now I just skip through there booping sarcos on the nose and dodging capros take me back in time. This game is awesome
I know right, used to be terrified of dilophosaurs and now you just sidestep them
Same here I feel this!

Thanks! glad to hear that
Believe it or not, the algorithm detected I just bought ARK on Xbox and decided your video would be the best guide on how to pretty much start the game off right. You have been blessed by RUclips today :)
That's awesome, I hope it helps you and good luck! have fun
You were consice, coherent, and your voice isnt annoying to listen to, i think. Thats why i just subbed.

i remembered playing this a while back and just chilling till lvl 100 with my base and some tamed dinos. idk i can mate them, breed stronger/better version of them, or even care to check how to fight the bosses although i've check out the altars a few times. then i started watching syntax and was blown away with how much i can still do and what i missed. but i was still unclear with the whole steps on what i should do to progress. watching this video, im gonna try it again.

this is like hands downt he greatest guide to ark ive seen. You not only show the content, but you explain why and in a simple manner that people who haven't played can understand. It shows them the progression: x is what you should be doing at y time in your play through. Sure somethings could of been explained "better" but my god I wish i had this video in 2015 when i started LOL
Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback and hey, video will always be here for whenever you play again
i JUST FOUND THIS VIDEO.

Amazingly well put together video. I never beat the Island before in my 1000+ hours of play (too ADD, would lose patience and just start a different map). It's insane how much depth there really is to this game. Just started a new playthrough of the Island and this time I'm gonna ascend thanks to this video!
Good luck with your new run!
@@ConCon ❤️
Good luck I hope you beat the map and succeed
I got Ark a few years ago to play with some friends for fun. Then I never played it again, I just recently bought a PS5 and wanted to try it again just for fun again. And I looked for a guide and came across this video my god 💀 I didn't know this game was so deep and difficult. My respects for making this video, very entertaining to watch and can't even imagine the effort. Tip my hat 🎩
Thanks! yeah the game is a lot more complex than you initially think hahaha.
Man… i have been playing ARK for over a year now. And trust me when I first started this video was not out yet and i NEEDED IT!!!

Oh wow this is crazy in depth. My daughter just got ark and I plan to surprise her today after school and tell her I got it too so we can play together. This will be super helpful for us aa we venture forth tkgether. I had no idea there was a goal aside from not dying lol.

@@ConCon are the mods mandatory or not? I’m on console so i want to know
Tame any shoulder pet asap as they act like a backpack decreasing the weight of items you give them, like an otter which has the added bonus of allowing you to carry up to 5 of the same artifacts at once rather than one.
Thanks for sharing those valuable tips
Dodos don't have a chance to drop Tek items unless it's a mod. Vanilla Ark does not

Hahaha thanks, glad you like the vid
Thank you so much for this video, we just started playing Ark and we did NOT realize how complex the game is and how much you need to strategize! I'm so excited to boot our server up to play with this new information!
Yeah there's a lot involved. Every item has a purpose, even much later in the game
Oh nice, yeah you got a bunch of work to do still then haha but take your time and enjoy it, there are many maps to complete afterwards too.
Love the notes on the boss access and strategies. Also love the mention of using sparkpowder as a fuel. Did not know that, and I have played a lot of videos!
Yeah I'm surprised how many people didn't know about sparkpowder as a fuel
40:10 Dont forget to activate the sap taps at least once, guys! Theres a bug where sap doesnt spawn if the inventory wasnt accessed before.

I literally just scrolled through the comments and couldn't find one that you hadn't replied to!🤣Thanks for this guide. It has helped me progress from dying everytime trying to tame dinos to having a T-Rex.
Nice work, go make that progress!
As an experienced Survivor, I can confirm that this video is very detailed and very helpful for new players. If I could watch this 2 years ago, I think it could have helped me a lot. I learned everything in the harsh way.
Yup I had a similar experience haha
This is a great video man! You explain everything perfectly!
Glad to help
I have watched many RUclips videos on Ark and You have by far the best how to and knowledge guides i have seen. very well put together.
Thank you!
Thanks for the important warning!
This video helped me so much, I was not sure if I wanted to beat ark because of the time investment, but with this guide (and a higher resource multiplier)
I am on my way, tysm!

Yeah island map isn't the greatest experience, it's a really frustrating map haha
@@ConCon The density of the trees makes it so difficult! I have hollowed out paths through the landscape now. Can't wait for the other community maps, and I really need to get the DLC, as it's half off on Switch right now. 👍👍 Cheers!

Should note raptors are pretty much always in packs of 3 so be careful if you're trying to tame a raptor. The others will attack you regardless of how far away they are as soon as you engage one of them. You should carry at least 3 bola if you're going raptor taming
Carrying a few bolas is always a good strategy yes

Glad you enjoyed it! I made it how I would have wanted to learn the game hahaha
Use the dinos you have
Kangaroo or iguanadon are fast and strong enough early game.
This is gonna make my story run way easier, thank you.
Awesome, you're welcome
1. I want to say it is an incredible guide. Thank you for that.
2. When I want to kill the alpha bosses. What level whould you recommend my dinos to be?
300s
@@gabrielornes thanks
Any time, depending on your server or game difficulty setting you want your dinos to be 80% higher than the max wild dino level. So if your max wild dinos are 150, you want them to be at least 250 or higher. Higher the better.
Got ark back when it came out. Didn't even know there was this many bosses in the game but I don't have that many hours in the game. Wildd love the game and the guide thank you

Not like we're bashing him or anything, I pronounced chitin wrong for years until I heard someone else (another ARK youtuber, ironically) pronounce it right and then looked it up myself.
lol you should hear how I pronounced psuedo first few times I can across it. Btw it is “sue dough”

Yup, I reply to every comment on all my videos :D
WHAT HOWWW!!!!
U are quite litirally my favorite ark RUclipsr u put too much effort into everything making imprinting 100% on your RUclips videos 😂 i have 931 hours on ark and never beat a map sadly but I’m half way through thanks to you
Wow, thanks! Good luck on beating it now :D
You can always change the settings to get better results.
@@ConCon - True, but I would love not have to mess with them too much, like I already have. By the way, good video.
Great video dude. Brilliant overview on objectives and strategy.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. One thought, the 'P' in Pteranodon is silent. Other than that this is wonderfully informative.
Thanks!
Lets hope his Pee is silent😏

You're welcome :D
Quick note:
If you take the cementing paste out of the dam, then... well, it ain't got paste in it.
That's true
