Finally a car for the Hamster.
"At this point, something very small arrived... in a Mini"
I loved my Mini 30. I see Richard couldn't find a suit small enough for him and he needed to find a colour to blend in with the interior perfectly! :-)
Of course they chose Hammond, he’s the perfect size
its funny because I had a japanese mate that was 6 foot 5 and managed to fit in the back of one of these hahaha
4:03. Fiesta nearly pulled out in front of the Mini!
Clocked it
That's absolutely true with the fiesta lol and the hamster wasn't exactly driving to the prevailing road conditions on a wet road and low visibility junctions ..
That's a 1999 Mini Cooper!
Not a a vast improvement on the 1961 morris mini 850 super delux that I had. It does have the speedo behind the wheel. I had to get the conversion kit for mine.
that's not a Cooper. Just a Mini.
Such a beautiful design with perfect proportions. I miss the simple round (or square) headlights of the old cars.
i love that mr bean reference :D
I have a 2004 Cooper S. It goes around corners like a gnat. So much fun to drive!
As I remember, the Mini Cooper didn't arrive until 1962.
You're absolutely correct. Rog .Pacific sunset records.
@i cant remember my name you're right. It was in September 1961. Stay safe. Rog. Pacific sunset records
The morris mini 850 super delux had the cooper paintwork prior to the cooper release, a white roof irrespective of body colour.
Morris Mini Minor (which it was originally called) was launched in 1959 but the Mini brand name came late in the 1960s
I'd want to own a 80s, 90s Rover Mini. I find them to be fun and small and to throw around in corners. Surely it would have ride noise in the Cabin but still it would be a almost pratical car. Not really see that much nowadays. Suppose they go around 10 to 30k
That was a lucky escape by green ford fiesta as the driver nearly forgot to give way to the fast moving mini...
The body off the original mini did grow slightly over the years and gained bigger windows for improved visibility..
That’s my road he’s on
The reason why Hammond did the review was because he was the only person on earth that could fit in it
The Mini Cooper wasn't launched until 1961and that's a 1999 model anyway.
Everyone calls it a Mini Cooper, but since Coopers were the sport models, I've always called them just Classic Minis
That looks like Wythenshawe Hall at the start!
It is
Did the hamster knick mr beans teddy??
Kinda reminds me of Mr.bean. And I love Mr.bean so...Great video
My 1961 morris mini 850 super delux was the basis for mr beens car! It had a yellow body, white roof, black bonnet and boot. They copied my car!!!
This is not the original 1959 mini (probably a later model), if it where the door hinges would be on the outside.
yep this is a 80's mini and even worse, a modified one,
What, this is a 1999 one
its a 99 v reg car. By this stage they were all poshed up, retro styled ones for yuppies.
And the new one failed miserably to capture the elan of the original.
u grandpa
not quite. just a fan of proper ones
@@callmehangel309 Grandpapa rules ! :)
Can’t always look to the past. The old Mini is fantastic but the new one is incredibly fun too
@@WeMuckAround Yeah I know. I like the third iteration of the Beetle that VW made. It looks great and resembles the old one just enough. The second one not so much. I felt the same way about that as I do about the new minis.
the house at the beginning looked like blockader's from blackadder goes back and forth at the beginning
Its Wythenshawe Hall
Wythenshawe Park whoooook
This Red Mini is Kendal Cumbria Registered
The trunk looks pretty roomy for a small car.
The seats in later Minis were taken from the Metro. They were far too big, but cheaper than designing new ones. Just sloppy, really. And cash-strapped, of course.
I don't think it's possible for Hammond to look bad
hes a posh boy twat, bbc skum
Looks like quite a largish mini that one
When you put wheels on a mini skip
41 years in production to end up being "Mr Bean's car"?? Oh stop it please!!
I thought he would drive an original mini.
Then, something small arrived... in a Mini.
and then bmw made a 'mini' from leftover golf parts, made it bloated and horrid and nothing like a mini
I have a 2002 Mini which I love. I only like 1st Gen Minis. The rest are horrible, large chunky cars not Minis!
It was actually designed by rover, but as a speciality coupe instead of practical city car. They designed a rear engined tall thing as well. Somehow people still bought it on the back of the name alone.
They never made a 1959 Mini Cooper. The Cooper didn't come out till '61.
Wrong
Edit: you're right actually, the mini came out in '59 but the cooper was in 1962.
The new Mini is everything that I he original Austin, Rover Mini was AND so much more. It’s a fabulous car. IDC what anyone says. I own a new Mini and it’s the Muts nuts imo.
Have you owned a classic mini?
Sorry, but the 1959 Morris Mini Minor 850 was much more bare bones.
A 1999, not a 1959 . the last Mini. Binis aren't Minis...
Unfortunately they turned the mini into another generic hot hatch
U stole mr beans teddy 🙀🙀
Just kidding
Not really a car fanatic are you , try writing books instead leave the cars to real enthusiast.
hammond makes the inside look huuuge
Id rather get this then new bullshit one
really the new fiat 500 and mini coopers are fucking terrible how is that small they look huge ffs
i got Fiat 600 (Zastava 750) i got it for a year and ya know wut its worth it then new bullshit vehicle i prefer classic old one those are the true cars not new one they suck
The Mini was a terrible car. Rust bucket, unreliable, very poor mpg.
Then BMW brought out a new one and put the speedo in the middle of the dash!!! Everyone hated that in the original min and there were conversion kits to put it behind the wheel. Even now, the BMW Mini is at the bottom of the charts for reliability. LOL!
After a while the Mini became like a bad smell you just couldn't get rid of.
Michael Langley
Why?
yes, like the twat talking down too normal people!
Because it was only cool for so long and it was built for far too long.
@@jaggass Ever thought it was built for so long because people kept on buying it. And they did because they liked it? It was regulation that defeated the Classic Mini. Nothing else.
@@1chish I was a tad harsh but the likes of VW made the Beetle for over 50 yrs and even Land Rover more or less made the same 4x4 for nearly 68yrs. They say if the recipe is right don't alter it.
Another video ruined by pointless music, and a misleading title.
