Aloha! Allie's office space should be dedicated to Allie. No slash this or that, absolutely not. Allie, please have one room that is yours and yours alone. No toys, no tools, no trash, no laundry! Just you, your desk, art and a yoga mat. EVERY OTHER ROOM IS SHARED! OK, Mahalo for listening.

Thank God she's going to have a safe nest in the valley and not have to live in the toxic bantering construction zone nonstop. No wonder she had such a difficult time postpartum.

As a young adult myself and 5 friends were commuting to college daily. On a snow covered country road piled high on both sides with prior snowfall, we were hit head on. I was in the passenger seat and my head went through the windshield then I fell back inside the car. By God’s hands I was not seriously injured. But the post traumatic stress while in a car lasted a long time. You just have to pace yourself with driving. Take care. God bless!

I get it Allie I have been in a
    horrible accident. I was
t-boned by teenager speeding thru red light & had Traumatic Brain Injury & several herniated discs & Volvo totaled & started on fire over 25 yrs ago. I should have died! My Dad used to say “ You can get anywhere in snow if you drive very slow”. I immediately got in a car ASAP after car accident to walk thru the fear. In time you will lose anxiety about the accident it is a process so give your self “Grace”. You have had huge a huge loss & an accident “you got this sweetie”. 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s

When you drywall the window wall you would normally put the joint in the center of the window, doesn’t have to be dead center, instead of having a Butt joint (4 foot joint) on the right where you put it. You would only have a 12 inch joint above the window, little less work when taping.

    • @lanceoostenbrug6982

@@lanceoostenbrug6982No it won’t! The only way it cracks is if there’s play in the wall, like you close the door and the wall shakes a little. But that’s rare!

Trent and Allie please read this. I absolutely love your channel. This is about applying drywall mud. Once you do it this way you will actually look forward to doing it because of how easy it is, and how beautiful it turns out. No hand holding here, just plain and simple.
Think of the drywall surface as being one big flat surface with the exception of nail holes and seams. You DO NOT want to apply any mud, not even a nub above that big flat line. Use a 12" knife when completing the seams. Get it all flat. Don't worry that the middle where the gap is will shrink. That's okay. It is easier to put it on than it is to sand it off.
Before you do the next coat go over all the surfaces with a 12" knife to get any little tiny nubs off that will become little hills when you recoat. Saving your sanding as a skim after the last coat. I looked up a You Tube video on applying drywall mud. The pros explained it to me, and wow does it work. Little work, great results.

Extra zinc and copper is needed unless you want to keep an oxygen concentrator on hand 24/7. If you did not use copper tubing on the water lines for sure you will have problems. Copper helps keep bacteria out of your water supply. FYI

Now that you guys have the house in the valley, I'll assume this will now be more of a fun family home in the mountains where people can gather and retreat. With that in mind, sleeping as many people as possible and creating fun spaces for people to just hang out should be a goal. Trent should build-in bunks into the kids room and then setup the other room a flexible space with a king bed that can be converted to two twins. Utilizing the loft over the kitchen as an Office/flex space would make a bit more sense to me. Man Cave is a just that, a man cave/theater space, with maybe a sleeper out there for when Trent's entire family is up there and then of course the casita is a great spot as well.
