As a photographer for 50 years, I can say the images on your videos are superb. The mood you convey is heartwarming and it draws your viewers into your world of peace and calmness. Thank you.
I have always thought her videos were exceptional but I have no expertise whatsoever in photography/videography. Your comment made me feel like my own opinion was correct all along!
WOW thank you so so much! That means a lot! 🙏🏻☀

YESSSS‼️‼️‼️
I’m boiling to death in + 40° C weather here in the Southern California (Palm Springs) desert. How I wish I could hang my sheets and blankets in Artic weather. Weather is a challenge to us all. Watching your youtube makes me a little more chill here in this crazy heat. 🥵🥵🥵🥵
Brushing Grim is a family affair 😂 This channel has been a cozy corner for me since 2021. ❤
I'm laughing....you brushing Grim, he's like putty in your hands. He's loving it. He's huge with all his winter fur. Love on that baby. ❤ Your channel
Yes, I totally remember your pre- cabin expansion days - taking your laundry to your friend's apartment in the village. The whole cabin expansion saga was so fascinating, as well - how building materials got to the island, and to the site.
I'll have to put a pin to watch that sometime... So busy with now, not much time to watch the previous...
Thank you for naming the native plants of the tundra I love this!❤
My fave part for sure!!
I'm currently watching, hoping/waiting to get discharged from the hospital! Normally you keep me company when I make coffee and clean up the kitchen. You're always an awesome and calming person to listen to!
Hope you heal well and get home soon.
Hope your recovery is quick!
I hope u are feeling well and doing good
Hope you continue to feel better. I always feel so much calmer after discharge.
Hope you feel better soon.
I am with you on ‘cozy rainy days’ I LOVE when it starts getting dark earlier, our fall/winter months in the US (Michigan), & I’ve never been able to pin point why..it’s b/c it’s cozy! Ppl think I’m nuts ❤
I love rainy days, but I hate the darkness in winter. 😜
You’re not nuts!! Fall is the best! I live in Southern California and it’s been 110+ here 🥵! Come on October 🍁
@@CarinaPiersay NJ, too. Heat index aroun1 107 daily and high humidity. It's horrible these days around the mid Atlantic.
@@michelleoh2735 I’m in the high desert of Southern California (elevation about 2,300) so it’s a dry heat. It cools off by about 30-35 degrees at night but I don’t know if I could do it with humidity 🥵!! I feel for ya. In a week the low will be 67… NICE 👍🏼
I love it too. Something cozy and warm and body hugging about fall/winter.
Grimm having snuggles with daddy while mommy brushes him. 🥰 Then relaxes into spa mode when he’s getting his belly brushed. Love it…💕
This could become a Grim grooming channel, and I would be absolutely enthralled! Haha! He is such a cutie pie ❤
Haha 😂🧡
Yes!!! Grim's Spa Day. Has a nice ring to it.❤😊😅
We don’t have 24/7 sun in Michigan where I live but we have sunlight from 6 a.m. until 9:15 p.m. The sun does not really disappear until about 10 p.m. So when we have a gloomy day of rain and thunderstorms I welcome that day to just be at home, read a good book and chill. It is a nice break from the constant sun and hot weather. ❤😊
Hello, fellow Michigander 😊 Roseville here. I know I am ready for another thunderstorm!
Same! Chiming in from Wisconsin
Sunlight here in Chicago too...
@@violetstarrlight Grosse Pointe! Woohoo!!
Life-long Harper Woods, Michigan resident. I love all four seasons, especially Autumn and I love a good rainy day. Started watching this channel during polar night a couple of years ago.
Your videos are so soothing to watch. Never any shouting or loud music. Just gentle guitar and talking
Your videos are the perfect antidote to my summertime blues. I've never liked summer, not even as a kid. I hibernate in the air conditioning as much as possible and just wait for it to be over. I find the heat, humidity, and longer days really oppressive and I live for autumn and winter. Yesterday our "real feel" temp was 118°F - and we're in a mid-atlantic state, nowhere near the south. I would give anything for a rainy day that's 41°F, a fire in the fireplace, and needing to wear a jacket, but your video allows me to experience that and remember that better days are coming. Thank you a hundred times for that! ❤
And yes, I was here during your days in the original cabin! Loved watching the new space take shape.
Grim is so stinkin cute!! 🥰🩵
Oh my God, Grim is just beautiful. He turns into a baby when you are brushing him. You just want to hug him for being so handsome.😅
I remember the original cabin when you had no water. Christoffer was much more shy back then. It's been lovely seeing him grow more comfortable with the camera. Love you guys and Grim! 💕
The axe handle breaking right before you finished chopping! That’s so ironic. Thank goodness you had a second axe. I loved this video of peaceful Svalbard life on a gloomy day. It may have been gloomy weather-wise, but you made the day warm and peaceful. You certainly brightened my day! Thank you, Cecilia.
I recently got into building miniatures. I just finished building a kit that reminded me of your cabin, so I hung two "sheets" on the railing as a tribute to my favorite youtuber. PS The only Cecelia I ever "knew" before you was my grandmother.
We missed your usual “🎵Byeeee🎵.” It makes us smile
Love you....BYEEEEEEEE ❤

Ooooh what a cosy cosy video! Thank you for sharing! I can almost smell the fresh arctic air🌧️🩵💙💎🙏
Glad you enjoyed it 😍🩵
Such a lovely way to wake up
" his pants are shedding..." My orange " garfield cat" has the same thing right now in the summer !!
Cecilia, you continue to be in my top five favorite RUclips channels ever! I love every single video, whether it’s you in your cabin or you visiting your parents in Portgual (would LOVE even more videos of them because they’re so down to earth and lovely to watch!). Would also love to see another what I eat in a day/ a workout routine you do to stay in such great shape. Please! You look fantastic and beautiful!
Love love LOVE the Svalbard landscape during this season. I want to visit and paint it someday!! 🖌️🎨
I have a Norwegian Forest Cat and I start every day with grooming him. He loves it and it's become a bonding experience for us ❤
Your vocabulary and ability to describe landscapes is just absolutely mind-blowing. You are taking me on a journey. It's just amazing. You need to think about writing a book! Something like "Diaries of 364 Days in Svalbard" or something like that, describing every single day of your life there and trips throughout the year. It will be a delightful read.
2nd comment- the rain looks amazing. We are 100° this week in Portland, Oregon, but at heart, I am like you- a true cozy girl. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, you either love the rain or you hate it. I personally love it, especially if I can have a cozy day at home. ⛈️💧☔️😊
I love the rain also! Not to many feel like I do! I’m now living in eastern Washington and it’s so dusty here! 🥴I miss the cleanness of Western Washington!
Yup, I remember the jug of water you had next to the sink in the old kitchen. I believe you may have taken us to do laundry in town once. You gave Grim a bath in a friend's shower, too. 😘
Cecilia, you and Kristoffer are nice, and Svalbard is pretty cool, but the REAL reason I watch your videos is because of Grim! 😂He is just the cutest, sweetest, bestest Boi!! ❤❤
If you’re going to be mildly insulting, at least spelling Cristoffer’s name correctly
My favorite part of Sunday is watching your video! Love fromThe Netherlands ❤️
Hello.. love those cozy rain days. I usually take a nap. With my fans on. Happy Sunday 😀😀. See ya next week
LOVE that Cecilia is building her own Sandershelf!
Love from South Africa 🇿🇦. Your content keeps me sane❤
I found your channel just a few months ago but I've binge watched so much and your videos are so beautfiul and somehow comforting. When I need to step back from things, your vlogs are such perfect escapsim. And I love Grim, he is such a beautiful boy. Wishing you all well from the UK!
The ocean view...I could never tire of it. But the darkness and long winters...😮
Since last october when I moved, until may was the first time I really noticed my seasonal depression, but on the other hand, I love the cosy evenings with some fairy lights, a candle, a cup of tea... During summer, these things don't have the same vibe due to long days
My seasonal depression is in the hot 🥵 (110+ here now in Southern California) incessant summer
@@CarinaPiersay during summer, it's quite hot here too, but my seasonal depression had to do with lack of natural light
@@Raven_TT ooh ok. I actually enjoy it getting dark early but maybe where you are you don’t have much daylight as I do. I’m in Southern California so it gets dark around 5-5:30 in the evening and the sun comes up around 7. But being that I live in the desert we don’t get a lot of cloudy, rainy days so that gives us more light too
Mine too, in Arizona… 113 F today. One bright spot, in the evening we went and had ice cream with the grandkids and sat outside with misters, not too bad! Hoping for some monsoon weather in the near future!
@@BethanyBridge then it will be humid
watching your video whilst its storming in Cape Town. So comforting. Thank you beautiful soul 🥰
I’m in south Florida. Summer is our rainy season. We usually get thunderstorms or at least a good tropical shower everyday around 3pm. June 1st is also the beginning of hurricane season. Hurricane season ends November 30th. Having been through many hurricanes, including Andrew on August 24th, 1992, I don’t take hurricanes lightly. I remember your pre running water days! ❤️
We're in a "heat dome" of unprecedented 100+ F degree days for 2 weeks in my part of the world, and you get to have a fire and snuggly time, totally jealous! 🥰
It has been so HOT here in Virginia. Truly unbearable 😫
I love your channel! I live in the southern California desert, USA, where it is currently 118 F, 47 C. Our summers are at least 5 months long, from May through September. We normally have monsoons during this time, but with climate change, I've noticed they've basically stopped in our area. Unless the government has cloud-seeded, which they've done before. Then you can expect to float off because then it rains too much. 😅 Sometimes, during the summer months, it never drops below triple digits, 100 F, 37 C. Camping in our area, like your video from last week, has us dealing with rattle snakes, scorpions and tarantulas. We have camped before between October and April but it really just depends on when we have the cooler weather. During the end of December through the end of January temperatures can be as low as 13 F, -10 C at night, to 45 F, 7 C during the day. I hope you have the best day and week. 💗 Hugs to Grim.
Greetings from Sunny California! I really enjoy your videos. It was fun watching you brush all the excess fur from Grim, a.k.a. pooch baby. There's something so calming about your voice and your cozy rainy day experience. Many thanks, Cecilia, and for your recommended reading material, or at least what you are reading right now.
I remember the pre-cabin expansion days! I miss the OOTD when you had the jobs out in town. Each season in life is so precious. I can’t wait to see what’s next for y’all and I’m so ready for this upcoming fall and winter. I love a cozy and moody vibe.
The way Christoffer is looking at you while you groom Grim. So sweet!
Oh I remember those days of the old cabin…..the transformation of your home is just incredible.
Grim is so cute! He loves his people.❤ he’s enjoying all the attention you guys are giving him.
Nothing better than a cozy rainy day. I remember the pre-water cabin days also.
I adore rainy, dreary days for the same reason as everyone else. It really is cozy, and in summer you don’t often get “all day rain” like you get in spring and fall (at least here in Columbus, O).
I love where I live because I get to experience all seasons. Autumn is my favorite. Leaves red, yellow and orange with cool evenings.
Love when you talk about books! You got me to start ACOTAR and I love it!
😍😍😍
Grim looks like he is feeling well and enjoys his brushing. The scenery around you is beautiful.
I love this weather which for us happens right before the cold of Winter arrives and right after the Sunny Fall days go away... It's bright but rainy and cold but cosy. I love it. It's like the Earth showers before sleeping still in Winter.
So peaceful and cozy.
Your videos popped up in my feed because of Grim. Then i fell in love with your videos and the place. I was watching one of your videos last night and found out that Grim is no longer here and I cried. I didn't know you could love and miss a dog you never met.
I was here before the cabin addition and the lack of running water. It is amazing how much things have changed!
Yaaay thank you for being here! 😊
Oh yes your dear mom is very talented ❤️❤️ gifted !
Experiencing a rainy day in your cabin on Svalbard looks so cozy and peaceful! It's fascinating to see how the weather adds to the atmosphere. Thanks for sharing this serene moment.
As beautiful as it is where you live, I don’t think I could live without the warm summer heat soaking into my bones.
i love the rain and the sound of it
Tundra flowers are so beautiful!!!
I was around back then. I remember the first day I found you and it was such an original concept to me at the time. The rawness /beauty of it all is what pull me in and I’m still here today.
I remember going to your friend with your laundry, also the showers at the gym🙃And i remember thinking how hard can be to do this every week, especially when is a snowstorm and dark for 24 hours. But seeing how cosy was in the village, was so beautiful. I guess is about what we chose to focus on. I loved to see the rain there, and the different colours of the ocean, and mostly, i love the little flowers - so tiny but so strong. I miss autumn and cosy days, so thank you for this beautiful treat. Please hug the handsome young man, Grim, more than usual. From us all. Have a wonderful week everyone!
I love how you always say how grateful you are for your life 🌈❤
Cecilia, I began watching your videos when you still had your small cabin, and it was winter time with howling winds. I continue to enjoy how your videos have exciting adventure and relaxing vibes. Thank you for what you do. Say hi to Grim for me :)
I Am here since 2-3 years dont no exactly, but i am excited every week. Love your Videos ❤
That is awesome! Thank youuu for being here!
I LOVE the keeping of Grim's fur to make a sweater!!❤🐕 So sweet!
Cecilia, today I recommended your channel to my brother and I think I will do so to my cousin as well. I was sitting here eating my toast and drinking my coffee thinking that I never ever would have thought I would be watching someone vacuum their cabin, and feel Zen about it. You are so chill and wonderful to watch. Who knew back in the 80's that I would have a window into your wonderful, relaxed, but exciting life here in the 20's of the new century. Thanks for being here and your amazing content. PS if I could cram more books into my summer, I would pick that last series and maybe that first one you picked. But I have about 11 books I have to get through before September, and I am also learning contemplative life. I love your channel. Thanks for keeping us cozy and chill, and caffeinated. 🙂
I’m from the Pacific Northwest in the U.S. so we get plenty of rain and I absolutely love the rain, it’s very soothing and keeps things green.
I agree about having some "moody" days as a switch up to daily routines in the summertime. I live in the California central valley where current temps have been hovering around 110 degrees, but this morning it is cloudy and feels like a relief even though it is expected to be 102 degrees.
You brushing Grim was so cute. His reaction was priceless ❤. He looked like he was at a spa😂
When we were kids in NW Greenland we never saw rain .. today is a whole lotta different, everything is melting and wet.
Your ability to see the beauty in such a desolate area shows how positive your attitude is😊
I love your videos Cecilia, and look forward to them every week. The mood, the quality of production, and the environment is a whole character to be loved. You've chosen some great reads, and thank you for championing reading in your content.
Yep, I was around when you had the small cabin and no running water. How time flies! I love rainy days - growing up through various droughts here in Australia you learn to never complain about rainy days. They’re a blessing, and so cosy as long as you don’t have to go out to work in them. ❤️
The axe head falling off the handle was everything. 😂 Thank you for sharing and making my day a little brighter
You shared brushing Grim with us! My heart is filled with warmth and happiness. Thank you!
Grim's coat of fur is amazing this season.
I'm glad you got a day off from the constant brightness of the midnight sun.
Rainy days are the best days. ❤ The cotton grass is beautiful!
Thanks for sharing 😊
Here in Quebec it's scorching, average 32 to 33 degrees all week! We even had a record heat wave of 45 degrees at the end of June. I envy the temperature of Svalbard!
Rain is so calming, refreshing and a rain storm even a bit of an adrenaline rush! I live in the Mojave Desert of California.we just a record high of 125 (F) for July . It’s would be a relief to see a little rain! Love your videos always done so beautifully.
Thank you for such a peaceful video, Cecilia. It was much needed.💜
I positively love your svalbard vlogs!! Thanks 😊
I'm so glad! 😍
It's been raining 70% of the time this summer in Switzerland too. I actually like it. 😊
Ohh this post is one of my favorites!! The sound of the rain and the video you put with it , of the grasses blowing gently.. just perfection!!
Remember those early days Cecilia. It’s nice to see you have a few comforts now. Love Grim getting brushed. Your photography is awesome. Thank you so much😊
I've commented before (and I know a few others have) that you could write a sweet children's book series of 'Grim Adventures.' Seeing that your lovely mother is an exceptional artist - she could illustrate! A great way to keep interest in the outdoors - and set it all in Svalbard to teach about the land and its conservation. Grim would be such a great ambassador. ❤ Perhaps some proceeds could help programs for children to preserve the Earth they're inheriting. Anyway, I dearly love your gorgeous videos and the way you tie everything together with your peaceful presentations of life in that part of the world. 🥰🕊✨️🐻❄️❄️ Thank you so much for sharing! 🙌
Cozy cabin days are some of my favorite videos. Currently in the middle of a heat wave in the northeast US.
Thanks to you I’m not thinking about how hot it is outside right now 82°F at 9am. Seeing cool rainy days is doing my brain good.
Grim is so orange this summer! Such a cutie! His little shorts shedding was hilarious. ❤
I’m with you about books. I love to keep them and admire them forever so libraries, as wonderful as they are, are not for me. 😁
Oof, yeah it's recently beenb~110°F outside here in Northern California. Hot mornings are the WORST.
I’ve been watching you since the beginning. Thank you for all of the joy you have shared with us.🥰
Watching your Summer rain as it's starting to rain here. Even thought we don't get the Midnight Sun, Summer rain is a nice break from the oppressive heat here. Enjoy your books and I hope you get some cozy time to read in the 'bright season'.
Hi Cecelia! Our cozy days lately are pretty much the opposite of yours these days. Our heat index (temperature plus humidity) has been 100-112 degrees), and it dangerously hot outside. The beaches are packed though (crazy people!) and the pool is like bath water.
We stay inside during the day as much as possible and I go out in the evening and tend to my flowers and plants/water, which they desperately need.
Grim’s hair!!! We had German Shepard’s and same! Hair galore!
Totally agree about the organization. Clutter stresses me out too
Hi from Myrtle Beach, SC
ENJOY your day and we will too
Sunday is our Chinese take out night!💕😊🥡🥢🥠
I heard from a zoologist channel I follow that the biggest ichthyosaur was found by a little girl stumbling across the jawbone in Svalbard. Is that well known ? I think I read many other fossils have been found there too. I remember when you two didn't have running water there, back when Christopher didn't talk at all in the videos. lol
Thank you for sharing a little bit of your arctic life
I loved watching the rain there, your cosy fire and Grim being brushed! My Sunday afternoon treat! Thank you! Best wishes from England!
I was around when you had no water and the smaller cabin! You were such a bright spot in my day! Having coffee with you is my favorite. Glad to see you are where you are now 💓☕️
I wait for these videos now, love how she is a worldly person. Embracing life as it is. Happy reading.
Svalbard very much reminds me of Alaska. I lived there for many years. I love the cotton ball flowers too! Many Alaskan brides included them in their wedding bouquets. Plus the ever changing colors of the tundra. Nothing compares to its beauty in the fall. ❤ I love how much you get excited about reading. Me too. I now live in Seattle Washington and absolutely LOVE the rain. When I lived in Anchorage we were very dry there too. Our snow could be like sugar! But I have to live in the rain. It brings life to my soul just to breathe it in. I could only be a visitor to Svalbard but that would be lovely for a moment in life.
I love your daily routines!!
Been here since the beginning. Have loved your content since I found you and have even spent Christmas 🎄with you once when I couldn’t be with my family. Thank you for sharing your world Cecilia 💛💛💛
I enjoy these sit downs. You help me to slow down. ❤
Love the cozy vlogs! Thanks for sharing!
I just hung our sheets out to dry on the clothesline in our backyard to beat the incoming heavy rains this afternoon. These rainy days cause us to hunker down and go within. Blessings, Cecelia!
I love that you get a connection to books. I do too.
