Hi Cecilia, I have been going through a really hard time in my life and your videos have kept me company on the worst days. My husband is losing his battle to cancer (though we still always will have hope) and we just got married, I’m only 25. If the worst happens I think I might try to visit/live in Scandinavia for a while and I’d love to visit Svalbard, the culture there seems so beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for bringing me some peace and I only wish the best for you, Christopher, Grim, and your family ❤
Congratulations on your marriage, I hope your day was special and full of love. Sending you strength for the difficult days ahead. Anticipatory grief can be such a wilderness, so it sounds important that you are already starting to think of what your future might look like as you forge a different kind of life for yourself ❤ Lots of love to you.
As an older woman, I encourage you to go and see everything you can! You are a strong woman already and have a good head on your shoulders. Love deeply! ❤
How lucky are you to have been raised by people who weren’t afraid of big moves, starting somewhere new and exploring the world with young kids rather than being stuck in places, routines and what’s considered as “regular” life. Often times independence is associated with financial stability but the reality of it is not depending on systems and societal expectations! Good on you :)

As an ex-pat who has lived abroad I ❤❤❤ this episode and could relate to everything you shared. One of my fav episodes ever! You just have a beautiful way of sharing your story and life. 😊
I could just imagine you walking in swinging a mouse by the tail & your poor mother trying to relax & feed your sister! I used to lock my daughter in her room whilst I tried to feed her brother as she always got into mischief. It was jealousy on her part; when my youngest son arrived, I bottle fed him so that he ended up more often than not with the pillow propped next to him with the bottle so that I could keep an eye on big sister. I love Sweden, it looks so beautiful & to be able to walk in the forest would be wonderful. It was strange to see you without your gun on you back, & the birdsong was so delightful. Something I love here in Australia is the bird life & noise of our native birds as they flit about enjoying life. I hope that you remembered everything Christopher wanted from the shops & that you bought him a special treat!! Also Grimm one as well!! It feels so strange to me getting your video though at 11 pm Sunday night as it usually comes in during the early hours of Monday so I sit & enjoy it when I have brunch around midday. I live in France, moving from Colorado in 2017. My mother and my adult son live in Florida and my sister lives in Georgia. My mom comes to visit every fall and stays with us for 5-6 weeks. I love it! My mom laughs that she sees more of me since I moved to France! Our son comes when he can. He will see us next in the fall when he sings in Paris in the fall of 2025. I have not been back to states since June 2019 for our son’s 25th birthday.
Delightful! What a treat to meet your parents and to see your native Sweden! Yes, definitely a video with your dad, if he is so inclined. Your mom is quite engaging. I so enjoyed hearing about her life and her experiences, especially the story about your swinging a dead mouse while she nursed your younger sister! Congratulations on the birth of your nephew! Such exciting family news!
Sweden is so very beautiful ! Such a magical place to grow up ! Here in Texas it’s just concrete and heat. It’s too hot to do much of anything outdoors unless you go out very early in the AM or you are by a lake. I long to be able to take a beautiful hike thru magical woods ! Your mom is wonderful and yes I would love to learn more about your dad and your siblings too !!! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us !!!

I recognize this in your parents. Thank you for sharing. South Louisiana, James.

I am originally from WA state so I can appreciate the views. At 72, I long to go out of the country to Norway, Sweden or Ireland.. your love of life and nature where you live brings me joy
Cecilia, what you said about not spending time missing places or things really changed my point of view for the better. When we are somewhere, we should appreciate and embrace that place. It’s okay to miss things but it’s not healthy to dwell and make yourself sad. We move a lot for my husbands career and we often live very far from family. But honestly, your words resonated so deeply with me and helped me shift my perspective. Thank you so much. ❤
What a lovely video. Thank you to your parents for being great sports and allowing us into their home, and for sharing their precious time with you. Yes a video with your dad would be great too.
in 2019 on our viking cruise we were in gothenburg, we took an optional tour called west coast island discover, kungalv, stenungsund, and the islands of tjorn and orust, to the kladesholmen. then to skarhamn. the coast is really picturesque, and coming from cape may in nj, was really beautiful, quite a few photos that I took.
You and yourr parents seem so happy to be back in Svede. I don't know if its the birth of your sister's baby, but they both seem radiant, playful, and happy, as do you. Your mom riding piggyback on your dad over the water was adorable! lol Congratulations to your sister! I hope she is recovering well from the birth. Yes to a video with your father! That part of Sweden looks so much like Ontario, Canada. My Swedish aunt has always said that but I totally can see it in this video! The forest especially and the rock shoreline 🇸🇪 🇨🇦

That was lovely, Cecilia. Thank you for taking us to Sweden to see where you grew up and sharing your wonderful Mom with us. Your parents are wonderful. They gifted a great life to you and that is a blessing 🩵. What a sweet family in a beautiful country. I think one of the things I would miss in Svalbard is hearing the birds ✨sing. Thanks for showing us around the area in Sweden where you grew up. It's beautiful! It looks similar to the Pacific NW where I live in Washington state. In one day, we can be hiking in the mountains then go to the ocean or Puget Sound. Our favorite place is Deception Pass. We go almost every month to hike and enjoy the beach. I love it!
Congratulations, auntie&uncle&cousin Grim, and grandma & grandpa! Only blessings for the little one and an amazing life! Thank you for this vlog, was so funny to hear the story of you bringing gifts! My mom laughs that she sees more of me since I moved to France! Our son comes when he can. He will see us next in the fall when he sings in Paris in the fall of 2025. I have not been back to states since June 2019 for our son’s 25th birthday.
I envy people who move away especially when the primary language changes. Please enjoy my share of France 😊(bonus is I love the language so much)
Yes. Please interview Dad. Your family is adorable! Congrats on your new nephew. ❤🇨🇦
What a beautiful family you have. 😊 I see where you got your sense of fun & adventure & zest for life.😊
Beautiful country... Beautiful family! Welcome to the World, Little One! Love to all of you from Massachusetts! 🥰💖💕
I loved this. I am from New Zealand 🇳🇿 and Sweden is similar in its greenery. I must come have a look
Where you grew up is beautiful. Your mum seems such a an interesting person. I enjoyed this week’s episode very much, thank you ❤
If you had introduced your mom as your sister I would’ve believed it!!! Lovely girls yall are!!!
Thank you so much for sharing Sweden with us, and sharing your parents with us!!! I think everyone would love to hear more from your Dad!!!
You manage to make everywhere you go look magical! Perhaps it is your positive outlook, seeing and sharing the highlights of all you experience!
Thank you. Such beautiful and peaceful scenery.
I love how you and your mom both aired out the sheets together l I can tell where you got that wonderful habit and it was done with such joy and love for each other. Thanks for the video!!
Hi Cecilia I am new to your channel. Literally watched my first video this morning and I haven’t been able to stop. I love your energy and your hubby and I look forward to learning and your so humble vlogs love it!
Congratulations Auntie.. and Cousin Grimm. Happy Sunday y'all ❤❤
Prayers for you & your husband. My husband passed away from Cancer in 2022. I also found comfort with RUclips shows warm wishes, please take care. Jeanne (retired RN)
Your Mom is young looking and in good shape. I enjoy watching and learning about the area where you grew up. It is good to have a successful father to be able to offer you a life experience while you and your sisters were growing up. Having a free spirit keep you young and active. I recognize this in your parents. Thank you for sharing. South Louisiana, James.
A lovely video and you have a interesting mother. I find it interesting that you put your sheets/duvets to air. The birds in the woods are so beautiful 😊
Your mom is beautiful. There is one thing you have to miss when you’re visiting your parents, Grimm. 😄
New v
subscriber here from IL USA. I just found your channel tonight and I'm loving it..the sights, sounds, ocean and mountains are so serene and peaceful. I am originally from WA state so I can appreciate the views. At 72, I long to go out of the country to Norway, Sweden or Ireland.. your love of life and nature where you live brings me joy
Just love your beautiful mother, but YES, another video featuring your dad as well!!
Your parents are so cute!!! Your Dad carrying your Mom over the puddle was so sweet!!
I would love to see a video with your Dad!!!
in 2019 on our viking cruise we were in gothenburg, we took an optional tour called west coast island discover, kungalv, stenungsund, and the islands of tjorn and orust, to the kladesholmen. then to skarhamn. the coast is really picturesque, and coming from cape may in nj, was really beautiful, quite a few photos that I took.
Yes, totally do one with your dad too! They both seem like such lovely people
Loved seeing this area of Sweden! I love your mom's no nonsense matter of fact approach to life.
You and yourr parents seem so happy to be back in Svede. I don't know if its the birth of your sister's baby, but they both seem radiant, playful, and happy, as do you. Your mom riding piggyback on your dad over the water was adorable! lol
Congratulations to your sister! I hope she is recovering well from the birth. Yes to a video with your father! Enjoy your time with your entire family~
That part of Sweden looks so much like Ontario, Canada. My Swedish aunt has always said that but I totally can see it in this video! The forest especially and the rock shoreline 🇸🇪 🇨🇦
Looks like BC actually
No I think you'll both find it looks like Nova Scotia. We even used to be neighbours with Scandinavia during Pangea, and Cape Breton's mountains originated from the same ancient mountain range as Norway's 🏔
Aww congratulations to your sister and her new baby. You get to play Auntie and get together with your folks again. How fun!
Have a wonderful week, I know you missed your boys at home 🐾💙. Hugs to you 🩷🩷
Your mom is beautiful and amazing. What a lovely home they have in Sweden!
I love it!
Your mother is lovely Cecilia. I can see where your independent and adventurous spirit comes from. ❤
1:25 When you grow up in a very wealthy family and don’t mention it, but there will be signs❤
Its so nice to see such a close and Independant family! Thank you for sharing.
Love seeing your home town and parents! Your mom is so gorgeous! Would love to hear from your Dad!
I would never have believed that your mom was any older than 40! I love your relationship with your family! It's beautiful
Congratulations, auntie&uncle&cousin Grim, and grandma & grandpa! Only blessings for the little one and an amazing life! Thank you for this vlog, was so funny to hear the story of you bringing gifts! Your parents are great, and yes, a video with your dad would be also very nice - it seems they have so much fun together! Your hometown is so peaceful, what a perfect place for relaxing! ♥♥♥
Cecilia, you make me want to move there. Can't wait to get your book. Sending love and light from San Diego, California.
As an American I can say your mom pulls off that hat, it looked fantastic!
awww you and your mom sound so alike!!!! ❤❤❤🎉
Thank you to your mom for being comfortable on camera and sharing so much with us. Beautiful area and I love how can bike to do errands. I'd enjoy a video with your dad because he seems like a fun person. But only if he's ok with doing it. Sending much love from Minnesota on this Sunday.
Def a video with your Dad! Thanks for sharing your mom and where you grew up in Sweden.
You are blessed to have your mom and dad and a welcome to the baby 🍼 love from Michigan 🖐️♥️
I’m an immigrant and my goodness how I resonate with what you said about appreciating things you have in both places instead of wasting time thinking/missing things you don’t have where u live ❤️❤️❤️
