100% useless? Are you nuts? You are NOT useless! Allie you're the heart that keeps this wheel going!
Allie, you are far from being useless. You film the day, edit the film and provide us with awesome content and entertainment. I for one, applaud your awesomeness.
Plus I’m sure your doing the laundry and cooking. Your plate is full.
Amen 🙏 ❤
And you do this while baking 👶🏻 in your oven 👏🏼🫶🏻👍🏼🙏❤️
Amen!!!! 😅
All while making a baby!
Glad to see Grayson wearing the safety glasses!
but they're still not wearing protection when mixing the cement!!!
When I watch your videos, I feel like I am visiting with family members!
Your cheerful but "slow" cousins?
👍❤
@@mikepower8208 TROLL ALERT!!!!! Somebody needs to get a life move out of his grandma's basement, and stop insulting strangers on the internet to make himself feel better about his life!
My dad was a carpenter and had 3 rules we had to follow. #1 Use the correct tool for the job. It’s too easy getting injured by using something that’s not meant for what you’re doing. And #2, measure 2-3 times and cut once. #3 if you don’t have time to do the job right the first time, when are you going to find time to do the job right the second time? In other words, allow adequate time for the job you’re doing.
And even though I did not work in construction as an adult, I have used these rules so many times for the work that I was doing. And they applied. So I guess my dad was pretty dang smart after all.
Allie, I’ve had 3 children. The man is never ready till the first contraction. We all saw how Trent was with his second son and he was awesome. We know he’ll be even better with this one. Having said that I’m rooting for the barometric pressure and full moon for you. Women know that when you’re done with being pregnant you’re done.
I had my baby on a full moon.
Yes but there is one that says, "I love the red romb" ( cross between womb & room )! He comes when he is ready to check this brand new world!
Thank you for wearing safety gear. We don’t want anything to happen to any of you.
Thank you 1 million million million times, for the safety gear❤️❤️❤️
Thanks ♥️😃👏🏻
Very glad to see Grayson wearing safety glasses. Trent, take note! Grayson has such a good attitude, he's always happy to do whatever needs to be done with a great big smile!
Grayson is a quiet guy, but his smile endears us to him!
Jennifer has such a beautiful smile. Its plain to see where Grayson gets his.
She is a blessing to have , thats for sure.
If Allie does absolutely nothing but puts her feet up and lounge on the couch; she'd be doing all she needs to be doing, right now---cooking that little bun in the oven.
We'll wait.❤🎉
Before installing the plates to the columns you should apply several coats of AnchorSeal to the top and bottom of the beams. AnchorSeal will prevent the beam ends from drying out too quickly which will result in large cracks developing in the beam ends.
Don't forget, the big thick, washers on both sides.. they will help stop cracking of the 12x12, if the porch load shifts. As it all settles.
HI Trent, consider to paint the end grain of the wood pillars where they mate against the metal with a tar based paint which will prevent water creep and rot at the base of the pillars when they are installed. WE do this here now and so far no rot at all even using Oak beams. Previous ones used to deteriorate with rain/snow melt etc.
This sounds good too Trent!
Every girl/woman needs a Trent,Brandon or Grayson in their life because of the amount of knowledge and talent y’all have…..wishing the entire Trent & Allie community a great, happy and healthy week 🌻
This is such a surface thing, but I think it each time I watch a video so I might as well tell you. You both grow even better looking as time passes! There! Now perhaps I can concentrate on other things. LOL! Trent, I think back to when you were first learning construction (of your house)...you balancing and me watching nervously, as a mother watches a young child learn to walk. Now, with the passing of time, I hold the attitude of "he'll figure this out" each time you approach something new. Allie, you amaze me! Thanks to your skills I get to see these videos! I want you to know I appreciate the person behind the camera with each scene that comes up.
I had my 7 children when paternity leave was not a thing and I remember 3 times when my hubs went back to work hours after the actual in the hospital birth. The current way is so much better for the mother (it just dawned on me maybe we wouldn't have such a large family if hubs had to spend a little more time seeing how the sausage is made the first few months of a babies life...LOL) Everything is looking great and Allie you are such an intricate part of the filming, editing and producing of the videos that I thoroughly enjoy! XO
Even if the baby is early, you still have a nanny, family and friends and a whole nother house set up, if Trent is only able to take a couple days off, it'll be okay.
QUICK!
Go pick up a canopy like our Ozzie friend did to work in the rain as well as providing shade from the sun!
Trent you are not in control. Babies come when they are ready.❤
Loved the time-lapse of the storm passing. Can't wait to see the vision for the deck .❤
Good morning everyone I am Jeanne Stark Clearwater Florida watching this! Checking in Trent & Allie and Leo. Hope Your rest of July goes well
Hi Jeanne! From Jeanne in Wisconsin!
Hello. I’m from Tucson AZ
For your steel plates and large holes in them:- I repeat oft stated advices on the 'net, that you should make an initial small hole in diameter, then make it into a larger one. This is based on good engineering advices that you would be very ill-advised to ignore. I give up advising more on this.
I love Tren'st theory that it would cost more to have someone come in and do the job then getting the stuff yourself. So I wonder if that also works for flowers for the garden… So if I pay the landscaper to come in, it would cost a lot more than me buying the plants and planting them myself. Lol I’ll try that excuse on my husband next year when I’m doing the garden, because he grumbles every season that I spend too much. Lol.
P.S: Trent if you get tools Allie should get plants. It’s only fair.
I’m thinking he only said no to the plants because they aren’t to landscaping point yet. I’m sure Allie will get her plants when the time is right.
But paying someone may do it thr right and safe way the first time. Or they can just slap it together, get paid and move on
I think Allie is the luckiest girl in the world, having Trent have all of the knowledge and wisdom, knowing he built this place with his own hands of course, with help, that was a huge undertaking It’s amazing watching him build with love! Every time as an adventure watching you all and your family. Trent, you do an amazing job as a husband, father, and son. Keep up the good work you guys and keep the curiosity coming.
Yes, wives should get their flowers beds and herbs and shrubs too if that's what they'd like. Growing good things is a joy, and that includes babies. 🤗
You said no plants!😂😂😂😂 happy wife, happy life!🤣🤣🤣
Now my day will start right!!
I’m beginning to recognize your road! Trent is a master driver. Those three are like a well oiled machine!!
Moral support is good. I have faith in all of you. Gotta love the sound of thunder!
Whatever happened to eyeballing??
This was beautiful and a perfect start to my day, thanks!
In the Netherlands the afternoon is almost over , so funny the time difference. Have a nice day 😊
Every day is a day closer for both. Your Baby coming & the building accomplished.
This was filmed on the 21st of June. I’m thinking her son is born, that she had a few videos for this time. All to allow the 3 of them to relax without thought of posting.
I think the New baby will be at least 4 years old before the building(s) are complete.... 😉😉
lol Trent is amazing, of course he’s excited, but he’s got a lot on his plate. The house will be great. ❤
---------------------- " Run the post 12'" to 14" long and cut to length once you start framing! "
While I’ve never done anything on the scale of 12 x 12 posts but I have done my fair share of patio covers and pergolas using 6 x 6 post so your advice is spot on. As long as you know that your posts are longer than what they need to be you will never wind up with a post that’s too short, because you will simply trim off the excess, as you said, after framing
Do that on this project and you will be up in the air on a scaffold making a very awkward cut. Just use the Lazer level and calculate how long the post needs to be. That's how the Pros do it.
When Trent is walking I think he forget he got a pregnant moma behind him 😂
Praying everything goes well with the beams
Good Monday morning to my favorite Utah family.
Good evening from South Africa!
Compliments to Trent for his patience. Also for his skills and determination when working on a project. Trent, you are one hard working, determined dude.
Good morning!!!
Grayson, sorry you got stuck with the boring (but highly necessary) task of drilling.
Trent, I love your "mad scientist" laugh-of-success at getting the knife plate into the post.
Allie, you and my wife and your plants!!!
Cheap gift to keep a woman happy, no harm in that!
PROGRESS!!! Figuring out the process is 75% of the hard part!!! Go team!!!!....Leo's adorable scale has blown off the charts!!!🤗💕
These videos are running 1-2 week in the past su unfortunately your advice is too late.
A fully pregnant lady wants a new plant to take care of 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She should have picked the one she wanted in the first place! Why ask Trent, he didn’t pick a nice one! The one she was going to get was way nicer!
Good Morning Everyone 😇😇
Salutations ❤ I am so excited for baby to arrive! Sending good vibes for an easy, quick labor.❤
Having the right tools to do a job is a must to do that job
Amazing drone shots. Love hearing that rolling thunder. Allie you are hardly useless: growing a human within, providing motivation and humor, and producing quality videos! I totally empathize with Trent. He is a man on a mission! Thank you for sharing your experiences!
If it wasn’t for Allie, no one would get paid for their day’s work! She’s the one putting out the video! Cheers Allie, well done!
I'm praying that all goes well with the delivery of Leo's new baby brother!
The Christmas wreath on the door is KILLING ME 😅!
No, its just up 6 months early lol
Summer storms are awesome Allie! Y'all are the best...2 videos a week, learning, building and creating/expanding a life you love. The best of times, the best of times. 🤗
I’ve always loved watching thunderstorms. When I was a kid I’d stand at the corner of our house and watch them roll in. I’ve never seen a tornado on the ground but a big funnel cloud passed less than 100 yards from my house once. It was very exciting to see it. It scared my wife and she drove next door to her stepfathers where the funnel cloud passed directly over his house.
It's such an exciting time in life for you! One day at a time while juggling to-do's, weather, working, family, new baby and the list goes on and on. We'll enjoy your break, as well, and send you all good thoughts. Thank you for sharing your life journey with all of us.
Curious about you two eventually bringing back "Mountain Made Mondays" to the channel.
Thank you Grayson for wearing the eye protection!
Trent I have never doubted that you are longing for the baby to arrive, and you are showing it by doing as much as possible of "the nesting" before he comes!
Allie, remember that you are "working" all 24 hours every day, so cannot compare to ordinary work right now🤗 (i know you know that, it's just a reminder)
Good morning. Have a great day.
That's just Trent's sense of humor. And he's funny!
Good morning! Trent and Allie, Leo and the working crew.😊
Trent, try a “Rotobroach” bit for you drill press. It will go right through those steel plates like butter
Better yet, why not save a ton of time and drop off at the local metal shop. Can’t be that expensive.
I’m with Trent-like seeing the progress but it is slow! Excited to hear that baby is here too!
It is ? thats great news
Where was that announcement ?
Good morning!!!! Hope you all have a great day!!!!
Allie, you are glowing! Trent, I am always impressed with the things that you take on that you know nothing about and they come out like a pro did it ( kinda.. well, ok … )
The joy Trent had when the plate fit was priceless 😆😁 Allie you are far from useless. And the thunder rolls. 😅
As excited I am to finally meet baby boy, I am dreading no videos. You all are so amazing people. ❤️
I love the sound of thunderstorms
Those huge timbers on the rickety little saw horses looks really dangerous.
They have beam saws for rent. With that many beams it would have made better sense.
Allie, there was a perfect opportunity to edit in past lifting fails for those who haven't seen the disaster that occurred with the original build.
I get the same flashbacks whenever she alludes to it!
I have never forgotten that day!
@@cornypinkuni9519 Haha, yeah it was bad!
@juanitasellshouses Me neither, my heart sunk. I can only imagine how they were feeling.
yes I am another one that says that I feel like I'm visiting family when you guys arefilming and producing your videos!Trent Grayson and Brandon you were doing awesome work! Allie, keep up with what you're doing, you're doing great as well. Leo is also so darn cuteand Jennifer does such a great job with him! Keep up everybody's work. We love you all!
Answer to the question is yes we can get plants.
Yes a little 4 dollar plant is the least of their worries! No harm in a small plant to keep her happy!
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!! KEEP THE FAITH! You’re doing great!! Rest up Allie. Only Baby Boy will determine when he’s ready. 😊😊😊💕💕💕🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I get it Trent is very excited to have that baby ! There’s just a lot going on!!! I’m very excited for you to have your baby boy!!!
Goodday from Johannesburg South Africa. Have a lovely week, much love
Those timbers are huge
Just love watching your journey 🫶❤️
Had to go back and look at my calendar when you said tonight is a full moon....we're 2 weeks and 3 days behind you. I'm praying you have this baby soon. And for a safe, easy delivery...thinking it may have already happened and just super excited. Also anxious for you to get your porch finished.😊 "The Boys" are doing a great job.
Growing a human inside your body is a project in itself and is an important role in the development of the BIG PICTURE. THANKS for sharing.
Another tool for Trent’s collection.
Allie, succulents need lots of succulent friends … always choose two ❣️😉☺️ plus I’m sure Trent’s excited about the baby, men react much differently about women, babies and plants 😉🤍 Y’all , all of y’all just stay safe.
Great Job Thank you God Bless
Rest your arms for now, Allie. Won't be long till they will be full of baby. Just relax and enjoy this little time. Hi Leo!
Look up videos about chainsaw kickback. You are getting lots of kickback when you were making the plunge cuts. Start your plunge with the lower portion of the tip of the bar. The top of the tip is the kickback zone.
Hoping you have an easy labor, when the time comes, Allie! That baby is very lucky to be arriving into your family.
We always do that last cut after are all mounted upright.
Talking about Debt. I will fast forward.
And you're filming which is an incredible job that you are accomplishing so that we can get to come along with you on this crazy part of the journey, And keep you in prayer.❤❤❤
Gearing up and then doing the greenery/landscaping for the yard is so immediately satisfying. The visualizing of what needs to be where. Doing one area at a time. And adapting as you go. It is a work in progress...like the house. Enjoy! PS: Allie felt the same last pregnacy with feeling worthless. NOT! Just glad to see she is saying it was a happy smile this time. The last couple weeks are always physically miserable. Sleep is good!
When I watch I feel
Loved and not so
Alone. Thank you. So excited for your new baby!!
Always enjoy all of your videos, thank you for sharing with us ❤️
I love the Trent and Allie show and everyone. Please stay safe!
You are NEVER a useless you are the heart of filming editing & sorting everyone out.!!!!please dont EVER think like that ❤xx
I was wondering if you are staging your drilling the steel plates. What I mean by staging is drilling with say a 1/4” bit, then drill again with 3/8 “ bit and on up to the size you need. What I like to do is drill all the holes in my work with the small size bit, then the next size- saves time not having to instantly change bits. As well I usually drill my final holes 1 size larger than the bolt diameter and chamfer or de burr both the entry and exit of all holes once I have completed my drilling. Keep up good work!
The last two weeks of my pregnancies seemed longer than the first two trimesters. Every step, every breath, everything became much more intense. The rewards were 2 healthy babies, and now 2 Grands. ❤ Hang in there Allie
Love your videos! I come from a long line of elementary school teachers and holding the pencil/crayon etc. correctly is critical. Don’t let bad habits start!
Good morning to all of you hope you all have a wonderful work week can't wait to see your video on Friday God bless you this week ❤️
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing
I can’t believe you’re still holding on. As active as you are. I think I went past 5x’s. Blessings for your family.
A pregnant woman is the most beautiful sight in the world. She’s carrying another human in her womb and who can deny that is from God and it’s glorious! Praying for an easy labor for you young lady!
I love your channel. I watch all of your successes and failures and your ability to bounce and make things right. I am motivated by efforts to complete the projects. You are truly inspiring.
Love that you are making progress! So excited to meet that baby boy! 😊
hahaha.. that was so awesome. Allie picked the succulent that I chose. :) good choice Trent.
i currently live in Kenya (8 years) but spent 15 in Michigan, 15 in Indiana and about 8 in SE Missouri. I LOVE a good strong Midwest thunderstorm (no tornadoes though) I've been trying to explain to my Kenyan husband what a Midwest Thunderstorm is like. We live on the coast so its pretty much 75-85 year round with a few weeks of rains. He is going to be very surprised when we get there next year. I'm going to LOVE it.
You guys rock, I am always amazed at your ingenuity, spirit and hard work 💪
Looking great on the mountain! Haven't heard any baby names......how about Brent? LOL Combine Trent and Brandon.... Wishing you and your family all the best!
Baby has to wait until his astrological sign Leo, Leos are good people.
My son's a leo🥰, but got to remind everybody that all signs are good signs - God lets people get born all year round!
Allie, You’re cooking a whole new life with your whole body and time, the most important productive part of your family!
Grayson needs a high stool, like bar stool?! Bless him! Thankful you have the guys help! Grayson and Brandon!❤
Love you guys ❤❤❤❤
Always good value. Blessings!
Great progress today guys. I say it all the time, but I just love your videos. x
