You made me cry with joy. Canon Beach was my sister’s favorite place to visit each year. She told me all about her adventures there. I lost her to her brain tumor in 2015 and always thought about making a trip there. You made it very special. Thank you 🌻

Yuppers! These quaint little towns are literally the BEST. I especially love the little candy shops and artisan boutiques.

I agree as well I have young kids too so I understand completely her protecting but it feels almost like he doesn’t exist since he never gets mentioned. Would love to hear and update and know how he’s doing!

It breaks my Norwegian heart when i hear the whey isn't used to make brown cheese 😢 It's so good and something every Norwegian love on open faced sandwiches. A good slice of bread, a spread of butter, brown cheese and topped with strawberry jam is just heaven❤🇧🇻

I live 40 minutes from Newport, Oregon and can attest that we DO have the greatest and most beautiful coast in Oregon. We are truly blessed in this state with the beauty we are surrounded by.

About 55 years ago, I went camping with my parents for several consecutive summers at the county campground at Barview Jetty. So many great memories of sand surfing on the dune on the side of the hill. A tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory was always included. Thanks for bringing back those fun times to my 65 year old brain. Much appreciation from this lifelong Washingtonian!
Barview Jetty was my family's favorite campgrounds, I grew up going there every year. I loved walking to the Barview Store to get some ice cream or ice pops as a kid. Loved the tide pools, the big sand hill and listening to the horn on the buoy at night.

My husband and I always wanted to travel to Washington and along the Oregon coast. He passed away on July 4th two years ago, so I'm so glad you posted your trip. It was beautiful, and I enjoyed it all

I hail from England and we to have weather like your trip provided. It's a case of hoping for the best but even raining won't stop us from going out. If we only went out when the sun shines we would never go out. In any day regardless of the month you can get four seasons in one day. I think Becky you would love our farm stores like this. Up the road from where I live is the Royal resident called Sandringham House. They have some of the most beautiful honey ever. A tip that we go by is if you suffer from summer allergies like hay fever if you eat a teaspoon of honey collected in the area in which you live it helps. Our farm and garden stores are huge you could spend all day there and not see it all. Gardening is the English number one pass time. Thank you for taking us along.

Really enjoyed seeing the Oregon Coast, the little towns and the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Many years ago my husband and I toured there. Was so enjoyable and all of it brought back fond memories. Thanks for taking us along.
Cheese , oh my gotta try Tillamook jerky & beef sticks the absolute best. & yes there cheese & yogurt are also the best you can get anywhere in the world.

Hi Becky, the branching style Daisy that you were referring to that you liked so much is actually called “SENETTI” They bloom continuously all summer long, but do require deadheading to continue blooming. Your trip looks amazing! What a nice getaway.

Oh my gosh you have me wanting to go back! Coming from the hot humid south, one of my favorite things about the Oregon coast is the cooler temps. Pictures nor video can ever capture just how beautiful it is there. ❤❤❤❤

I'm 55 now, but when I was a child we used to drive down to Cannon beach from BC every summer and always ate at the pig and pancake. I can't believe it's still there after 45 years
There are multiple pig and pancakes down the coast line now, Oregon has a wonderful coast, I feel so fortunate to be able to access at anytime.

When I saw you and Josh go to the Blue Heron, I thought of when my boyfriend and I went to the Blue Heron in Big Bend, WI. The Big Bend version is a supper club. They serve brandy old-fashioneds and Friday fish fries- two Wisconsin staples.

I grew up in Portland and spent so much time in Seaside (my grandpa lived there). A gorgeous area! Yes! I remember tillamook cheese factory of way back….and there was (is?) a Pig and Pancake in Seaside too! This video is awesome. Brings me back to my youth. Thank you for sharing your trip. I think that the unusual animal was an alpaca.
Those little balls that imprint designs would make some very interesting cookies and pie crusts and even pastries.
I left the coast in 88. Because my husband said it rained to much
It's been 20 years for me, but I have lovely memories of Tillamook and visiting lighthouses, the aquarium, etc. Great trip!

I really enjoyed your trip. After almost two moths of 90+ weather, I love the idea of a high of 62 . You are a good tour guide. The scenery is beautiful.
There is nothing better than falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Last time I was in Seattle we traveled around the Olympic Peninsula to a place called Calaylock. Please forgive me if I messed up the name. The cabins are up on a bluff right on the ocean.
Love the beach😍. Nice vlog. We are going to Florida this year over about 17 days😍. (We live in Netherlands). We are going for 3 weeks a road trip🌍😍.
I had a very hard time watching this video. I live in Canada but my dad lived in Bellingham so I would always meet him twice a year and we would go everywhere you did pretty much on this trip. He passed so I haven’t been back since Covid. It brought tears to my eyes all the fantastic memories and it also made me miss my dad tremendously.
I’ve lived in Missouri my whole 70 years but one of my most favorite sounds in the world is the sound of waves on a beach!

I live in Eugene, Oregon & my grandparents lived in Florence, Oregon, which is a coastal town as well. When they were still alive (i miss them so much 😢), we would go see them once a month. I dont go back as often as I should. It's only an hour away. I love the Oregon coast & I really need to go more often. Me, my sister and 2 of my close friends went to Tillamook about 3 yrs ago, rented a boat, and went crabbing. It was a blast. We also went to the Cheese factory!! 😊❤✌️

Hi Becky - thanks so much for taking us along with you. It was so lovely to hear the waves on the beach! It did make me laugh that you were catching Dungeness crabs - it's a place on the south coast of England about 2 hours south of me. I wonder if the same crabs swim all that way or if the same variety thrives in such distant places. The branching daisy is called Osteospermum in case you didn't find that out. It will look wonderful in your garden and there's a huge range of colours..

Great video Becky. Cannon Beach is my husband and my happy place. We go at least once a year. I went there as a teenager with my family and we took our boys there as they were growing up. Last September we went with our sons and their wives and our granddaughter. It was her first visit. Our favorite coffee shop is Insomnia.

I’ve driven the entire coastal highway 101 several times and it is the most spectacular scenic drive in the U.S. Thanks for sharing your trip with us - looks like you had a blast! We did that Tillamook cheese factory tour several years ago - so fun. ❤️

Another video to share with my students. I love the coast and miss it so. This was wonderful. I also as a children remember the open vats and even getting to help make cheese. I never saw the two color cheese as I remember it only being white. Thank you for sharing!❤
My family is in sw Oregon on the coast. I happened on the Tillamook factory. It just happened to be the Opening Day after I believe a 2 year renovation. It is a self guided tour and I loved the explanation they give to understand everything they do for the cows too! They need a dumb waiter for the Tree House! I hope you picked up a special rock on the beach! As you know, don’t cook your crabs indoors!! Dungeness crab is delicious!! Never a bad time on the Oregon coast! Bandon is another great town for a visit..much farther south. Yachats is another great place. Can buy fish right from the fishermen at their boats…did you get to see any whales breaching? It’s breathtaking!
