Those Golf Rs are pretty quick and must be modified (at least flashed). I have owned VAG cars since 1978. Nearly all good. I currently have an Audi S4. However, if I could afford a Model 3, I would get one. So my next vehicle may be a 3-4 year old VW R. Almost as fast as a Tesla is pretty fast.
@@bslothed3211”heavily modded” is a huge misconception. We’re just replacing a downpipe and flashing a tune. If you wanna get crazy you MIGHT just spend $40 on a turbo inlet… that’s really about it…
@@Blubbaization at least 450hp given the golf has lighter weight possibly but the dual motors have 370hp directly to the wheels . Usually takes an extra 150hp-200hp in a regular car to keep up. Agreed both quick cars
@@sheepyracing2774 Don't forget the R is like 400kg lighter and they went full on launch control with dsg, so it does not need so much more power to keep up - I assume 400hp would be enough. But hearing the sound of those 2 R's I assume they are on a stage 2 tune which will result in little over 400hp

These golf r's were highly modded versing a long range model 3...
They don't need to be modded to be fast. Stock, they still hit roughly 12.5 in the 1/4 mile.

They have atleast around 370 HP instead of 300 (would be a stage 1 tune) if they have a stage 2 then well over 400hp - anyway I like both cars.
