Please dont bring assetto fiorano pack sf90 or 296gtb to drag races,because of too much downforce and fixed multimatic dampers from race car category for better cornering; these track focused ferraris are not good for straight line drag racing and hard accelerations; instead use regular sf90 and 296 gtb;6 month earlier matt did 9.6 seconds ¼ mile in regular sf90 from scc private members;this time both matt and yiani did 9.9 seconds in assetto fiorano pack sf90;

That TTS bike isn't even set up for drag racing. They kept it almost stock geometry wise. A stock hayabusa can run a 9.7 1/4 mile. If it was lowered and stretched out it would probably run a low 9 second. Still 9.7. on a airstrip is impressive.
Rider who does not know how to launch it, like expected. If its not stock wheelbase 8 seconds, then you dont know how to launch. Only pro can do 8 sec with stock wheelbase without supercharge or turbo, but strapped front.

Not entirely true. To have a car perform its best, you need a driver who knows how to drive the car. Shifting needs to be spot on, otherwise the car will be slower than it can be. The Koenigsegg can perform better than it did in the video. Not only by using another type of fuel, warm tires and better track surface but also by having a better driver. A car performs much different depending on who drives it. That is pretty obvious. Otherwise there would be nothing like a pro driver if the driver didn’t matter and the car did everything no matter who drove it. It obviously doesn’t work that way that it’s just about pushing the accelerator and then the car does everything for you.

they have had that reputation for years, just covered it up by marketing clout and big number spewing. The reality is, they don't consistently produce their rated power the same way a bmw does, or any real manufacturer.. Their quality control is also bare minimum to meet orders on time and customers are guinea pigs.
Yea most car guys will never understand how brutally difficult it can be to launch a bike with that much power and NO stretch kit. Especially compared to the Tesla where there's not even a clutch or gears, just stomp on the accelerator and go.
Seriously though, power per ton is astonishing, but you've gotta respect that Tesla. I didn't think I'd ever seen a fucking executive car keep pace with a racing bike, nevermind a bike with that much power per ton. Astonishingly fast car. It's way more impressive than the bike is.

Also another brake test. I've rode for years, that bike should be able to stop on a dime even if you lock up the rear brake. In fairness, I haven't ridden much on bikes with ABS so that may play a factor

I wasn’t there so I dont know what the temp, surface, or wind conditions were. Saying that I will also note that a bone stock busa off the showroom floor can do mid 9 second runs. I have done high 9s on my mildly tuned gen 1 on an unprepared runway and I was focused on half mile speeds. Just a bit surprised by the poor numbers.

I don't know what you were watching but that was by far the worst display of riding, this channel has ever seen. He almost hit Yiannie in the first race on a jump start and then bottled the next 2 launches. He didn't put his head behind the screen at all and was hanging off the side in the roll race. That bike will pull straight under acceleration if you're in the bubble. Either way, the bloke is lucky to be alive after that. Also lowering the rear like that, is the reason it was horrible under braking. No skill and a poorly setup bike= big problems

I don't think there would have been a significant difference. The power wasn't the problem, the traction was. They estimated it still had 1250 HP. 2WD with that much power is like driving a razor blade.

I had zero interest in the Rimak until that look on your face! I've driven a number of the 911s you've featured, including the Turbo S, If that thing blew your mind it must be astonishing. It's well out of my price range, and more importantly it's far more power than I have ever driven or could use on a track without following the drive with by the memorial service, but wow was that fast!
Great video, but I’m disappointed you didn’t do another rolling race to get an even start between the K and the bike. It would have been really interesting to see what happened.
Yeah, I was waiting for it too. But the bike is faster in a roll , it should go ~3sec 100-200kmh, but they needed to give at least one acceleration win for the Egg in this race:))

It's an ugly rear end of a car with no luxury or special feeling interior. Shih turns no heads and is a one trick poney. Only people that could never afford a real high end sports car thinks teslas are cool.
The fact the busa boy kept the bikes front tire mostly down is insane. Astounding. And it's crazy the 3.5 mil car didn't beat a 50k bike and a Tesla on the ¼
RWD Koenigsegg VS AWD Electric car, the Koenigsegg has way too much power and no weight, while Plaid has AWD + tons of weight, the bike also is tuned which is what impressed me

Yeah. You really can't compare the plaid against anything in it's own class or price range. That's why people get excited when a Chiron SS or a Rimac beats it
I love to see the races but a word to the editor. It would be nice to see the FULL race without cuts from the drone perspective or another perspective. It’s hard to tell how they are matched with all the cuts. Overall great video! 😊
I think it was cut like this on purpose. Something is off that the Tesla gapped him that bad. We're obviously NOT getting the full story. At one point you can hear him just bouncing off the rev limiter in the Koenigseg for half a second.

I just want to appreciate that we get a constant stream of Amazon drag race videos with new cars (and Bikes!!!) all the time. Kudos to the team for setting up these videos.
The way that 2 TON plaid launches off the line and keeps pulling the way it does is seriously impressive. Just a shame it looks like every other model S out there.
True you can’t beat electric torque and 4 wheel drive. It’s weight also helps a bit tbh with the launch cause it keeps traction on the wheels and prevents them from spinning up
3.5 million dollars for segg and the air vent falls out while driving it. All these super cars aren't even worth a fraction of what they're sell for! I'd spend $100,000 on a tesla plaid any day!! And I'd still have money left over to buy a mansion 3.4 million to be exact
The Tesla Plaid needed to be in track mode for the roll race so it has a higher top speed. Even the non track pack plaids have track mode that increases the top speed to 175mph.
@@laurent36 Between 80-90% SOC, the Plaid HAS RUN between 9.2-9.35 @ 149-152mph trap speeds. Go to dragtimes for proof. Chances are this Plaid was at 60-65 SOC and they didn't charge it fully before going to the airstrip.

The only ev that beats the plaid is a 2 million dollar 2 door car. Ev's require good engineering just like a petrol car. It isn't something anyone can do. Of course ev's are just generally quicker then petrol cars but plaid requires amazing engineering considering it costs just 105k USD.

Less features (No youtube, netflix, spotify built in, all the useful Tesla features for driving, way less space making it less practical, less space for rear seats and doesn't have a rear screen, garbage software (Yes, it is garbage. We are in 2023 and porsche has worse software then Tesla did in 2015.), no autopilot which is an incredibly useful feature, no fsd (Although FSD is only good if you have FSD beta which is only in america, oh yeah performance sucks in comparison, way more expensive. People say they would take the porsche over the Tesla any day because it looks better but in reality people actually have lives and couldn't possibly afford a porsche taycan. Buying a model s palid would be a struggle for most people but it is at least possible for like 10% of people. Oh wait the supercharger network... oh wait the Tesla mobile app... I literally can do this all day holy s***. Porsche has better materials and looks better... This is a 1/4 mile drag race won’t matter. Furthermore even if they did a road course test, that plaid track pack doesn’t come with aftermarket shock absorbers and camber plates like the Nurburgring one.
The fact that you guys focussed so much on the never changing result of those dragraces instead of getting some high speed run differences is insane to me. Amazing to have this line-up together though! Loved the vid other than the abovementioned...
Crazy how a 5000 lb car was able to hold its own against these two absolute monsters. The bike needed no driver mod at all, hes got proper balls of steel.
A Big Salute to the Tesla, it has the Worst Power to Weight Ratio and still managed to Perform Well. The Bike is next level super fast , and the Koenigsegg is Badass to the Max, once its moving it a Rocket on Wheels

I do like Matt and the drag races but- the brake test is actually a tire and aero test. After the down force is reduced to ineffective it is the tire traction that determines the result. Fit all the cars with the same tire and the results will equalize. Monster carbon brakes are for repeated high speed braking and do little for a one off from relatively slow speed. With ABS, the only difference in speed reduction is the tire traction and the initial brake bite determined by the brake friction material.
People always say it's a wild experience being in an accelerating tesla. We know the speed differential feeling being on a bike vs a car. Hence a Hayabusa with a supercharger must feel downright life altering on that pull. Most impressive thing!

they have had that reputation for years, just covered it up by marketing clout and big number spewing. The reality is, they don't consistently produce their rated power the same way a bmw does, or any real manufacturer.. Their quality control is also bare minimum to meet orders on time and customers are guinea pigs.

The bike won all of them bar the brake test... no need for a repeat rolling race as that would have shown it's biggest gap margin tbh.
Also another brake test. I've rode for years, that bike should be able to stop on a dime even if you lock up the rear brake. In fairness, I haven't ridden much on bikes with ABS so that may play a factor

I wasn’t there so I dont know what the temp, surface, or wind conditions were. Saying that I will also note that a bone stock busa off the showroom floor can do mid 9 second runs. I have done high 9s on my mildly tuned gen 1 on an unprepared runway and I was focused on half mile speeds. Just a bit surprised by the poor numbers.

I don't know what you were watching but that was by far the worst display of riding, this channel has ever seen. He almost hit Yiannie in the first race on a jump start and then bottled the next 2 launches. He didn't put his head behind the screen at all and was hanging off the side in the roll race. That bike will pull straight under acceleration if you're in the bubble. Either way, the bloke is lucky to be alive after that. Also lowering the rear like that, is the reason it was horrible under braking. No skill and a poorly setup bike= big problems

I don't think there would have been a significant difference. The power wasn't the problem, the traction was. They estimated it still had 1250 HP. 2WD with that much power is like driving a razor blade.

Power wouldn’t have made a difference. The early Koenigseggs and Ageras are notorious for not getting their power down properly.

I think it was cut like this on purpose. Something is off that the Tesla gapped him that bad. We're obviously NOT getting the full story. At one point you can hear him just bouncing off the rev limiter in the Koenigseg for half a second.

The Tesla Plaid needed to be in track mode for the roll race so it has a higher top speed. Even the non track pack plaids have track mode that increases the top speed to 175mph.

9.2's = drag strip mode, peak performance ready, cheetah stance

Of course ev's are just generally quicker then petrol cars but plaid requires amazing engineering considering it costs just 105k USD.

We are in 2023 and porsche has worse software then Tesla did in 2015.), no autopilot which is an incredibly useful feature, no fsd (Although FSD is only good if you have FSD beta which is only in america, oh yeah performance sucks in comparison, way more expensive.
People say they would take the porsche over the Tesla any day because it looks better but in reality people actually have lives and couldn't possibly afford a porsche taycan. This is a 1/4 mile drag race won’t matter. Furthermore even if they did a road course test, that plaid track pack doesn’t come with aftermarket shock absorbers and camber plates like the Nurburgring one.
The track pack makes it faster around a track, but all that aero makes is substantially slower in 1/4 mile.
That blue interior on the Koenigsegg is gorgeous, as is the rest of the car, plus it sounds awesome too. 👍😎👍

And there it is, the obligatory comment found in every video with a Tesla in it; "Tesla is a everyday, 4 door family car and beats xxx costing cars ..." It's like Tesla fans think they have something to prove in the automotive community, when you really don't. Tesla is a brilliant product, pointing it out over and over and over gets old REALLY fast.

@@SonicSystemX1 Yes, but they are the most important hands down. No one ever quotes brake distance lol. People just started to focus on other things because the Plaid destroys their car so badly in both speed and acceleration. Fun times lol.

I do like Matt and the drag races but- the brake test is actually a tire and aero test. After the down force is reduced to ineffective it is the tire traction that determines the result. Fit all the cars with the same tire and the results will equalize. Monster carbon brakes are for repeated high speed braking and do little for a one off from relatively slow speed. With ABS, the only difference in speed reduction is the tire traction and the initial brake bite determined by the brake friction material.
People always say it's a wild experience being in an accelerating tesla. We know the speed differential feeling being on a bike vs a car. Hence a Hayabusa with a supercharger must feel downright life altering on that pull. Most impressive thing!
