AWD drive cars will always win against RWD especially if the RWD has over a 1000hp going through the rear wheels its just how physic's work. Having said that the new Jesko will be much quicker of the line and has the fastest shifting gearbox ever created so that may win.

All about traction. If the Agera were AWD, it would probably go thru the 1/4 at around 180 mph or more. The 911 is truly a sprinter, whereas the Koenigsegg is a tad slow on the start, but is a Marathon monster.

I believe Porsche did some black magic trickery regarding balance, traction and power delivery. This model-year Turbo S is clearly overachieving in regards to launching from 0 mph. Porsche performance quality is also shown in how the GT3 RS is lapping so fast with such 'low' hp and especially torque. I don't know a more efficient supercar. I don't think there is one. They are extremely impressive.

Say it all the time, but nothing (nothing) in the combustible engine world gets off the line like a 911 Turbo S. The way that thing puts the power down is phenomenal.
My mk7 golf R has less than half the power on (more or less) the same platform and has done its fastest quarter in 12.10 at 115mph. That TTRS has more in it, just needs a better driver

@@Riisktakerr and your point? It's well known the plaid launches better than even hypercars, but that's because it's an EV. The plaid has electric motors with instant torque to the wheels. Very different from an ICE which has to send that power through a transmission then to the wheels. Also the plaid has over 1000hp and the 911 has 650, but it manages to put the power down better than a lot of cars with more power. The Porsche is a better car in every way possible.
I’ve watched every single one of these drag races and STILL the 911 Turbo S just boggles the mind. The way it launches and puts down power, even compared to cars 10-20x more expensive, is simply unbelievable. Dream car right there.
In the combustion engine world, the 911 is king. You can launch it again and again and again and it still beats basically anything thats not a hypercar (and even most ICE hypercars). You have to admire the Porsche engineering. These videos are the best ads the Porsche marketing department could ask for.

It’s amazing just how much the 911 Turbo S punches above its weight in terms of beating cars that have twice the power and have a much higher top speed than it does to the 1/4 mile. Porsche really did make something special.

So the TT supposedly has 950HP and meanwhile,, it runs only as fast as a mildly tuned TTRS. That thing has max 550 and the moment I saw how the guy was talking, I saw the red flags. Never go to this tuner. They're probably claiming to sell built engines and not even opening them up.
Koenigsegg and hyper cars like that they are more built for top speed and just keeps going. It's not a drag race car IMO. You can see how quickly it eats up the lead of the Porsche. A half mile and it would be gone in comparison.
A surprisingly poor result for the Koenigsegg Agera RST for me. 😥 I was counting on 1/4 mile around 9.5-9.6 sec... 1360 HP + 1570 Nm in the Agera RST VS 650 HP + 800 Nm in the Porsche, it was very poor... In turn, the Porsche 911 Turbo S was very positive I was surprised! WOW! 🤩

That Koenigsegg rolling is insane. That Turbos S did amazing the 1/4mile. The 1000HP+ Turbo S will be insane and very interesting to see how it will do against the Koenigsegg

Baby R8 should definitely consider a DSG swap. The high power RS3/TTRS guys run super consistently with DSG.
Say it all the time, but nothing (nothing) in the combustible engine world gets off the line like a 911 Turbo S. The way that thing puts the power down is phenomenal.
Yeah only a sf90 can match the turbo S but off the line the turbo S is still faster and then the sf90 flies with its 1000hp

My mk7 golf R has less than half the power on (more or less) the same platform and has done its fastest quarter in 12.10 at 115mph. That TTRS has more in it, just needs a better driver

@@Riisktakerr and your point? It's well known the plaid launches better than even hypercars, but that's because it's an EV. The plaid has electric motors with instant torque to the wheels. Very different from an ICE which has to send that power through a transmission then to the wheels. Also the plaid has over 1000hp and the 911 has 650, but it manages to put the power down better than a lot of cars with more power. The Porsche is a better car in every way possible.

I’ve watched every single one of these drag races and STILL the 911 Turbo S just boggles the mind. The way it launches and puts down power, even compared to cars 10-20x more expensive, is simply unbelievable. Dream car right there.
And you can daily drive it unlike a 296GTB or 765LT which are comparable in speed without having to worry about it breaking down like the others.
In the combustion engine world, the 911 is king. You can launch it again and again and again and it still beats basically anything thats not a hypercar (and even most ICE hypercars). You have to admire the Porsche engineering.
These videos are the best ads the Porsche marketing department could ask for.

The way that Agera blitzed pass the 1/2 mile mark in the rolling race is just amazing. And it was not even at full power. If the Agera is this insane, i can't imagine how ridiculous the Jesko is going to be
It’s amazing just how much the 911 Turbo S punches above its weight in terms of beating cars that have twice the power and have a much higher top speed than it does to the 1/4 mile. Porsche really did make something special.

So the TT supposedly has 950HP and meanwhile,, it runs only as fast as a mildly tuned TTRS. That thing has max 550 and the moment I saw how the guy was talking, I saw the red flags. Never go to this tuner. They're probably claiming to sell built engines and not even opening them up.

Koenigsegg and hyper cars like that they are more built for top speed and just keeps going. It's not a drag race car IMO. You can see how quickly it eats up the lead of the Porsche. A half mile and it would be gone in comparison.
Porsche launch control is mental. OP, reliable and exceptionally durable. It's almost performance way above the price point.

A surprisingly poor result for the Koenigsegg Agera RST for me. 😥 I was counting on 1/4 mile around 9.5-9.6 sec... 1360 HP + 1570 Nm in the Agera RST VS 650 HP + 800 Nm in the Porsche, it was very poor... In turn, the Porsche 911 Turbo S was very positive I was surprised! WOW! 🤩
