Lindsay was on AGT a few years back as a Dubstep Violinist, and they told her it didn't go together. and she made them eat their words 1 season later when she had taken off like a rocket. The singer is the lead singer from Halestorm.
I'm not a huge fan of her music, but that makes it so much better.

Initially she was doing pop music on AGT. Her live performances also were a lot more demanding, as she was trying to play the violin while doing some extremely complex dance moves. Ultimately, I agree with the judges that the songs she put together for that show (which we don't know if they were her choice or not, AGT producers have been known to push performers into doing specific material) weren't that great, and that she made some slip ups on her violin while playing live.
I say all this as someone who buys her albums and has gone to a live concert of hers. She has improved in her skill, and more importantly she's found the sound that she loves. Her original dubstep music is a hundred times better than her doing a violin cover of a pop song (no offense 2Cellos, I love you guys as well).
@@andrewe2057 I agree, although I didn't hear that many mistakes in her AGT performance. As to 2Cellos they do a great job, though I prefer Apocalyptica with Sabaton in "The fields of Verdun" from their "The Great War" album.
Halestorm is from Red Lion, Pa. Lizzy Hale is the sister of the drummer Arejay!!
You should check out more of Lindsey Stirling. You won’t be disappointed. Roundtable Rival is another great video.

@@iwonttells2944 Yes! My friend got to see her in concert and took some video, even her stage sets are amazing. Nice to meet another fan who realizes the talent that Linsey Sterling is. I keep a playlist of her videos. Going to buy a surround sound speaker and have my own little home concert one day. She's very gifted. Beautiful and humble too.

RIGHT! You need to do some Halestorm now. I recommend A Familiar Taste or Poison, I Miss the Misery, Amen, I am the Fire, Love Bites (So Do I) and most IMPORTANTLY I Like it Heavy - it’s a song that’s about rock and metal music, so it’s a banger.
So many people do not appreciate I Like it Heavy Glad to see some one that does.

Really good song. Lindsey Stirling is an amazing violinist and musician, definitely keep watching her. She just did a song with John Legend (her second song with him) which is really good as well. I would definitely recommend her song Crystallize, which is one of her first Dubstep Violin videos. Also, as long as I'm writing, I'll mention again that you should do a reaction to Metallica's "Halo on Fire" video. Great channel, thanks!

As someone who played violin badly for 5-6 years, hearing this always makes me a little sad. I wanted to get better, but we were poor, and I didn’t want to piss of my parents with crappy playing. They worked their fingers to the bone just to keep us afloat. It’s been over a decade since I played last. Hopefully when I get my life back in order, I can pick it up again. Anyway, sorry for venting for no reason. Thanks for checking this out, it made me really happy. Carry on, sir. 👍

Crystalize is my favorite song by Lidnsey Sterling. She came to Colorado in the ice castles to film the song.

This whole album, but especially this song was written to express a lot of what Lindsey was going through while battling Anorexia. It goes along with Brave Enough (her following album) to tell the tale of going from trapped to being freed and figuring out what is next.
The song and video was actually a representation of herself breaking free from her eating disorder. Lindsey is bomb you should check her out more!

The arena, my immortal (Evenesence cover), Artemis, brave enough, hold my heart, loves just a feeling, and crystalize are ones you gotta do they are really good. I've listened to Lindsey Stirling ever since I saw her assassins creed theme cover (you should probably check that one out too lol) she's honestly one of the most talented artists I have ever seen she does a great performance and really loves her fans, I've seen her live before she really is amazing it was a concert teamed up with Evenesence which also happens to be her favorite band growing up and was a dream to perform with Amy Lee and the band. Edit also Amy lee also did a singing cover of this song with Lindsey which is pretty good.
This is possibly my favorite collab of all time. I love them separately and they are just so AMAZING together! I highly recommend Roundtable Rival like some of the previous comments. The violin is amazing and the video is just so good. Lindsey Stirling's videos are always really creative.

I know this is old, so maybe you already know? But there is a live studio version of this song, and it's amazing.
This video is amazing, but you don't actually get to see Lindsey play the violin much. Because she can't dance to the uber fast parts. The live version doesn't have amazing visuals or dancing, but you get to actually see Lindsey play the song and see her talent. At the same time, you get Lizzies amazing raw vocals and control. Please give it a try if you haven't. It's awesome to watch them just perform.
I can say, without exaggeration, that Lzzy Hale is the best female vocalist to come along since Anne Wilson. Try 'Takes My Life' -- it's an early live cut Halestorm did back before they had their record deal. You get a real idea of Lzzy's insane vocal ability in that one.
