I got to hold an Alien today, definitely unusual. Can’t wait to give it a try. They need to do a Sonic top and a Groove bottom. I’m sure that would be an instant cult classic 😂.

I mean let's be real there's not that many different shapes you can make a disc and we have them pretty figured out at this point. The gimmick molds will always be gimmicks.
The new thing is to make same flight with nicer handfeel and such, I like it, already got my S7 G5-6 T-2 F1 but the IT seems very nice... liking convex bottom rims recently... ;D
I think it will shine for some people on approaces, the lack of glide and unique feel will make the approach feel like playing catch but WITHOUT the glide from a Glitch/Sonic/Beetle if you want to use a "catch-feeling" disc.
Just got a dx plastic one today and it’s been awesome. Mine definitely did not look as stable as the star one you threw. Very straight throwing for me and it held angles very well.
Try throwing it flat prior to saying it's "overstable". It looks to be a little, but the release angle means everything. Is this a forehand disc...at all?

I speak fluent IceBerg. Let me translate for you. His backhands are always on a bit of hyzer and nose up or they're forced over. I struggle to think of a time when he ever threw a shot properly flat and nose down. When he says "straight" what he really means is "has enough understability to pop up and hold for a while if I put all my noodle into it."

Looks like a good forehand disc, straighter than the toro and rat but still stable enough to not easily flip
Felt a protostar one at the store and it felt amazing. Grippy and wide enough rim to powergrip. Didnt get it since i dont need another stable approach disc.
Update: Got a nexus Alien and liked it but felt a bit too glidey to be consistent around the green, definetely a great woods or ace run disc though.
I think it's good for people who don't really care for throwing putters off the tee. Gives you kind of a mid feel but putter distances.
I'm getting one to test. Looks like they combined a Sonic flight plage and Pig rim - if not exactly, but in spirit. Sonic Pig!
Quite frankly I really enjoy mine shoots a straight shot with a reliable fade up to about 160 ft
I personally think the alien will be a bust compared to other “meme discs” because a goofy shaped overstable mid isn’t that exciting (to me at least). Was waiting for how you felt after drinking the update drink but you never said. Noticeable effects?

I bag a seasoned jawbreaker zone or two for straight backhand shots and I’m scared to lose them or hit them into a tree too hard. Hopefully the Alien is that disc
I love my alien. I love putting with it. I hit some big putts with it. It’s good off the tee with a consistent flight

got one in base plastic the middle feels good but the groove outer part reminds me of franklin plastic
The feel remins me a lot of a disc I've been trying to replace in my bag for a long time now because you just can't find them anymore, the Star Kite. It DOESN'T fly like a kite at all, but feels remarkably similar. Because of that, and how it can flex extremely well at slow speeds, I love it!

Some discs for me are just pure backhand some are just pure forehand IDK why this happens but seems to be that way with this disc for you.

Stable means it doesn’t want to turn to me. Overstable means it wants to fade
@Gooch-km1od exactly! Stable means straight, understable means turns right, and over stable means it wants to go left (when thrown by a right handed thrower)
@@calebdyer6332 It's very simple. Stable means the disc wants to fly on a hyzer. Hyzer is NOT what people think it is. Hyzer is a flat throw that goes straight, and finishes left. Understable means the disc does not want to hyzer in the high speed part of the flight. Players who came into the sport the last few years are hearing these terms, and trying to use them without fully knowing the meaning.
The alien is sick
Anyone who throws more frisbee shaped discs already has an array of under stable discs to flip up available to them. Anyone who likes more stable discs has options too. People throwing flex shots with more stable discs aren't the people looking for classic frisbee shaped discs. Innova's names are terrible and not creative at all. At this point innova should make a 0 speed flesh colored completely floppy unthrowable disc and just call it the dong...

Odd review, if you view the Innova video on the Alien it says that it is…wait for it…”stable”. This review fairly follows the Innova video, nothing new here.
You said it was stabke the entire video then in the final review you said it was overstable. Just making videos to make em and not put out any effort at this point are we?
Honestly star plastic just makes everything overstable DX all the way.
This was a great video on how not to throw this disc.
Discs are made to fit different hands, different weather, different games. Everyone is so different no disc can be bad for everyone or everything. Saying a disc is bad because you don’t like the hand feel or flight is just silly and bad content. I disliked but I’ll give you the comment for interaction
