Hi Justin & Saku. Thanks for sharing your wilderness excursions and your beautiful country. It's a real pity that there are people who enjoy the remote areas also can't be bothered to clean up after themselves. It's a global issue. Take Care and enjoy many more kilometers and years in the countryside. Regards from S Africa Clive
Hey Justin. I just completed this epic journey with you, one episode a night. Lots of gems in this one - great bear, moose, caribou, geese, loon, otter, butterflies, ducks, - did I miss any? I have to say I love watching your Saku fish with you. His little ears up, nose out, head alert, eyes watching - have we got one yet, dad? What a joy to learn from you, too. A couple of dodgy moments, but hey, it's all part of the adventure. Onward and outward...Cheers boys.
Another fantastic series, just sad it is over. The encounter with the caribou in this episode was magical. It's strange that you guys are out there alone but then thousands travel with you when they watch. Can't wait for the next one.
About 19 years ego I rode my motorcycle throughout Newfoundland and had fantastic time. I stayed a few nights with locals eat canned caribou meat, bakeapple jam with home made bread. Hope to visit the rock some day again.
I’m loving the cooking series. As I’m a confirmed trangia user. I’ve a few stoves of different makes and don’t even look at them when packing kit up for a trip. keep it up Chris
Really fun to experience the Newfoundland wilderness with you and Saku. I could not stand the biting insects. In Florida we have mosquitos, yellow flies that bite chunks out of you and sand flies also called no see ums that are horrible. When I camped in the Everglades National Park it was always in January and February to avoid the worst of the insects. You are a tough guy! I love the local folk music. It is very much like our southern mountain music. Scots Irish settlers in the southern region of the US brought that same sounding music. Keep up your adventures!
Sorry for not getting to watch this series sooner but alot has happened in my life the past few months, my husband passed away suddenly, still dealing with the aftermath, not doing to well. Anyway , I really enjoyed watching this episode, reminded me of our love of hiking and camping for weeks at a time, with our dog Keshia, (she also has passed, not a good year)! Continue to share with us your passion for the outdoors! Thank you and say hello to Heather! God bless!
Martha, I read your comment and had to reach out to you. I’m sitting in my home, watching Justin and missing my youngest who is living in Newfoundland, and my middle son Colin who died 5 years ago, and worrying about the health my my dog as he ages, your comment hit me like an arrow into my heart. Please take care of yourself as you deal with the reality of your losses, my heart goes out to you in a very real way. Rick
@@shakyhandpictures2185 thank you for your compassion! Really missed my husband today (Thanksgiving)! Im trying to stay strong, my heart aches so much! Bless you!
Martha Neuhauser who are you staying strong for? Let yourself cry, it’s healthy and natural, society has grief wrong strength will hurt you ultimately.. take care
It’s dangerous getting close to moose and bears, caribou’s less but getting close to wild animals is dangerous and I don’t think he has advanced lenses to zoom in on shit like that
You can see Saku is trusting you 100% he is also more quiet, he feels you will protect him, and will do the same for you if possible. Great trip Greg. Regards Tony
What a great series! You have a wonderful companion. Love my dog but Saku is a special dog. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Very down to earth, honest compilation.
Dear Justin ,I say it cant be over already!!! Hubby and I are still following your every move from our easy chairs in Yarmouth ! We adore you both and eagerly await the next...oh,that caribou was a sight for sore eyes.Take good care and we are both excited to see a winter adventure.
I love your videos man , takes a lot of extra work to record it all . I appreciate your efforts . I was a big fan of the survivor man series so your channel is right in my wheel house . Keep it goin . I am a Bruins fan though but I'll still throw a Habs fan a like 👍🏻
Well done man, another awesome series. The garbage around is sickening. Everywhere I go it’s the same thing, garbage, garbage and more garbage. How can anyone in their right mind throw this shit around and not even think twice about it? When myself and wife are out going around and see garbage thrown everywhere I just lose it to the point where she has to tell me to stop. It just drives me god damm crazy. And most of the same people who do this are home manicuring their lawns and wouldn’t have a piece of grass out of place in their yards. Anyway enough of my ramblings, can’t wait to see you and Sakus next adventure. Cheers
Nice footage of the classic Bunchberry at 2:57 along with Clintonia (bluebead lily). Bunchberry can be used to eat as older generations have but I wouldn't be messin' with Clintonia other than looking at it's beauty, I'm sure you know all this already. It was really nice of you to give reference to Mario Lemieux 66, he was that special. To play against hall of famers every time he played and make them at times look like rookies was something I'll never forget. Thank you again and thank you also Saku, for your story is legendary alike.
what a awesome adventure you and your best friend Saku had. 200 km in the nl wilderness not many can say that now a days, years ago there was a few. you even wore out a pair of pants there is no saving them. till next time take care
I’ve been sharing this with everybody I know who’s ever spent time in the woods. Everybody loves it. I started with the cross Labrador trip, stopped it and backtracked to 68 days and now here. Great stuff. My wife and I have been to NF, it was a great trip, hope to return some day.
'what a treat to see so much beautiful Newfoundland and wildlife with you and Saku, Justin! Thanks for doing all the work and sharing it with us, with so much fine music and no whining bugs!
Just watched this series, nice to see sections of the Noel Paul Brook, named after my great, great, great grandfather who trapped that area. It’s a nice trip when the water is high, flowing into the exploits which is a great river for canoe!

Another great expedition comes to a close. Thank you so much for sharing .... and this goes for you and Heather. God Bless you both, Saku and Bear too, take care, Greg
I do appreciate it, probably more then you'd ever imagine. It gave me something to look forward to while I was recovering from surgery. I was in rough shape and in excruciating pain for over 3 weeks. I have one more surgery to endure, then God willing, I may just pack up my motorhome and go to Newfoundland and see it for myself.
Hi there Justin. Absolutely awesome series. My wife Sandra and I just spent the last few hours watching your's and Saku's adventure and really loved it. Newfoundland is the most beautiful place that I have ever been to. You are a lucky dude to be there. That wasn't an easy trip, you are tough as nails. Thanks for the great vid!

4:21 raspberries, definitely my favorite. Beauty caribou there at 20:30, not something we see too much of around my area. Another great one man, really enjoying it!
