Watched the whole video and loved it. I have a question. How much it cost to fill up the gas on this? I have 2017 is300 f sport. And i drive 100 miles a day. My lexus is costing me alot of gas money. So please inform as you said it can drive up to 500 miles. But how much it cost to fill.up the tank? Thanku
For the glare that you were talking about in the display screen. I do not have this issue because my windows are tinted and also, I have a black interior.
I have one and we absolutely love it. It just makes your _everyday_ driving and errands *SO* comfortable and effortless. A really nice car to actually _live with_ every day, with really nice luxury, awesome safety, great efficiency, and extreme reliability.
Once the ES gets AWD (later this year???) it will be unbeatable! Fun fact - ES in Japan and Europe will have heated and reclining rear seats with climate control...no big deal!
In the Middle East also it will be equipped with more features because in the US when the price point reaches 60k or more the market will prefer the German rivals like 5 series, E class and A6. Lexus know that. For example, in Iraq when I’m living For each BMW X5 Lexus selling 27 Lx570 which are 95+ K vehicles and people are willing to spend more many on the Japanese brands. A 2013 Toyota Camry with base options may worth 20k after 100,000 mileage if it is clean which is insane knowing that a brand new one will cost 27,000. The depreciation is about 1000 to 1300 USD only per year which is unbelievable.
Thank you for this very accurate and detailed video. I have owned an ES300h for a year now and I can confirm that you nailed all the key points of this car. A point to mention is the very good reliability of Lexus, especially when compared to the German 3 luxury brands. Here in Europe the dealer experience is also excellent. Greetings from across the pond. Stay well & safe!
Thank you for going through all the interior details. It seems like the bigger reviewers get bored and just skip a lot of the small stuff. Great video overall.

When mid size cars aren't competing for fun to drive anymore and are just competing on style and tech, this car looks really tough to beat. I had the use of a new BMW 530i for a day and the tech kinda blew me away, but this seems like it's even better for much less money.
Forrest, this is the best and most detailed review on RUclips for the ES300H. What is your opinion on how this car would perform entering a busy interstate highway where acceleration is required to merge safely into traffic?
Hey Forrest! I'm a new subscriber and loving your reviews. Thank you for yhe value. You made this review of the 2020 Lexus ES hybrid a few years ago. I'm in the market for a new vehicle and i'm leaning toward getting something similar to this, it seems to make alot of sense for my lifestyle. I'm curious if after a few years of this review, you'd be able to suggest alternatives to this 2020, to purchase today? Even good Hybrid SUVs you'd consider purchasing instead of the 2020 ES? (Good competition for the ES).
I think reliability is a luxury. I dont particularly worry about the cost of say a bmw 5 series or Mercedes e class But the reliability just isn’t close to Lexus and when I want a car I want it to work

This has a 13.2 full tank size which uses regular gas … at current prices 2.99 X let’s say 12 gallons cause must people don’t run it all the way down to E .. = 35.88 and that gets you about 430-500 miles of range depending on how aggressive you drive. Just got a 2019 300h and I love it !! Has everything I need in it. Drove over 2 hours back from the dealership and averaged 52 miles per gallon back to my house lol mostly freeway.
Excellent content you bring to us my friend keep it up 100k subscribers coming at a theater near you ! 😊👍 If you can try and get a Rx450 Fsport review pleeeeze. Thanks again.👍
Does the ES offer heated rear seats or tri-zone climate control? I feel like for all the baby LS limo vibes this car has, it'd be worth having those options to spoil the rear passengers a bit more.
9:20 They got Cheap on that tiny storage...My 2017 version has carpet soft material so if you have coin inside there is no sound while driving! And HUD I think you can adjust it in the car setting?
I'm sorry but that interior is lacking for $55,000....issues with heads up display, wireless charging placement, front area cupholders poorly placed and it seems like the heated/cool seat switches are kind buried under the lower part of the dashboard....you mentioned the infotainment...no android auto. You my friend, make the most through car reviews...keep it up...👍🏽
Awesome review Forrest! Your reviews are on the money! I don't own the hybrid version but you can't deny that this has almost everything you really need in a luxury car. For those that don't like that vertical line grill, i actually did a FSPORT grille conversion here: www.clublexus.com/forums/es-7th-gen-2019-present/950057-fsport-conversion.html
Is efficiency a luxury considering most 2L diesel cars can get similar mileage and better performance....... and in the UK at least there is no other engine options. Also now the competitors are offering PHEW options which can get even better mileage and much better performance, Lexus is really left hanging now. It terms of driving refine, it's negligible between the Germans and Lexus, they all come with so much acoustic glazing and sound proofing and much better transmissions. I'm finding it really hard to justify so much money except for reliability, it's in a class of its own.
I just bought a 2020 ES 300 And my mileage is a great! I get 44MPG! Around 510 miles on a tank of gas. I do drive VERY SLOW! Better AC than my 2019 es350!!! And my Wheels Don't get as DIRTY !! Maybe cause it's a NEWER car??
sure a shame that some of these States make it So you have to have a license plate in the front of the car! Terrible idea! Totally unnecessary. It ruins the whole look of a nice front end on certain cars. I am so glad I live in Florida where you don't need to have a front license plate.

I understand your point. However, in this case, FWD doesn't matter. Most people will NEVER drive this hard enough to highlight the fact that it is FWD. Heck, most people will not even realize whether their car is FWD, RWD, or AWD. The Audi A4, A5 is a different vehicle. You pay around the same money but for a sportier experience. The Audi has better tech but a way less comfortable ride and way less efficient. That person would never consider this because this is aimed 100% at luxury, comfort, and MPG without the slightest hint of being sporty. Different strokes for different folks. I do love me some Audi though! Should be filming the new RSQ8 and RS6 soon! :)
CarsofGlasgow I lease most of my cars, I don’t keep them longer than 3 years. I also live in the north east USA. AWD is a necessity and wouldn’t consider a car at that price point without it. And the Levinson audio has a terrible drone to the bass whereas my A4’s B&O system is glorious.

M M it has a 13 gallon tank and takes regular gas. The cost to fill up is then based on how much gas cost in your area.
