    You are brilliant. This is brilliant.
    I did it sitting on a chair but I will find my ball as I think it'll be better.
    The ball is deflated in a box somewhere. 🤣. We moved into a new place a couple of months back.
    Thank you so much for your amazing videos.
    I'm sure you're helping thousands of women. My Muscles are getting stronger. I was having leaks and accidents not getting to the bathroom on time. Things have improved a lot since I've been doing your exercises and also cutting out green tea, and tea. And also acidic coffee. I found low acid coffee on Amazon and it has made a difference. It doesn't irritate my bladder.
    Thank you so much.

    Hello Michelle,
    I really like your teaching videos. I wish your opinion ... I practice these (yeah, I'm a dude) for male health in the following manner: First thing in morning, I do a Chinese Yoga "Chi Warming-up" routine while in the bed. Then I move into the routine I wish your opinion on: 30 of these clenches for 10-12 count repetitions ... rest a long, full chi gong breath ... then quick 100 count, on count 100 I hold for at least a 30 count ... then rest a long, full chi gong breath ... then 3 sets of 10 as fast as I can, holding a long count on #10. In the morning, I move to other Chinese Yoga exercises. During mid-day I do the routine again, but from a standing posture, then on to lunch. When driving home, I do it again from a sitting posture ... once home I follow with a few Pilates-type exercises before my end-of-day stretch ... Opinion please?
    Thank you,
    JPN

    Couple quick questions from a yoga therapist in Pennsylvania here. One is I am surprised you don’t give specifics in the way of breath cueing (ie exhale on a lift)? Also is it natural for a very strong, connected lift to supersede into abs, waist, etc.? (I try to keep it isolated, but the more I lift I actually feel other lower core musculature engaging as well)?
    Thank you for a pleasant and simple routine - I will definitely be sharing your videos with clients.

    Hello from a yoga therapist and instructor in southwestern Pennsylvania.
    I have a couple of questions after completing your call pelvic floor strengthening routine.
    I am wondering why so little in the way of breath cueing - as a yogi this was actually very refreshing although from what I have learned about the pelvic floor it seems that lifts should be performed on exhalations?
    Also as someone who is connected to my physiology (plus I work with a good many athletes), is it normal to contract lower abs, waist, etc. once the pelvic floor has lifted far enough? I find myself morphing into almost a vacuum breath situation. Or would it be more beneficial to keep it low and concentrate on engaging only the pelvic musculature?
    Thank you for a simple, pleasant workout!

    Hi, I'm 17 and I've been suffering from an uncontrollable balder for a while now. I've never been pregnant (because every one says that's were you can get an uncontrollable bladder from) and I'm starting to think I'm born with it. Every time I laugh or cough I end up wetting myself. But it's not normal right? It's not like it all comes out at once, it comes out small flows at a time... It so embarrassing. No one notices because I always end up hiding it or changing clothes all of a sudden and have to make up a stupid reason. This happens almost every day. Any pressure on my bladder I pee. Only really resonantly I looked up what this could be and it said I had stress incontinence. And it said I could cure this by doing Kegel exercises. I started doing them but it's not seeming to work. I don't know if I'm doing it right. What do you think is wrong with my bladder? Thanks x

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  8 лет назад +3

      Hi Avena Stress incontinence can happen to any woman regardless of whether they've given birth. Kegel exercises can take 5-6 months to be effective.They need to be done correctly and this is where seeing a pelvic floor physio can help with your technique if you're unsure about it. Hope this helps you - this problem should be able to be managed to help you overcome this issue. All the best

      Jamera this takes practice, it just means that your pelvic floor muscles are still a little week and hard to localize the feeling of them contracting. As you get stronger and more familiar with these exercises you will become better at localizing the contraction so stick with it - you can do it

    • @michellephysio

      Yes Masti this can be rectified - first you need to know what's causing the overactive bladder. Have you been able to see a specialist or a pelvic floor physiotherapist to help you?

      Jobelle jogging probably won't help your uterine prolapse - better to walk briskly than run to reduce pressure on your prolapse

      Cn the labia is made up of body fat. Even when women are starving this area retains body fat. There are no muscles in the labia to exercise, the pelvic floor muscles are internal

    Hi ,Michelle , can these exercises help lifting the uterus ? I’ve had surgery 6 months ago had bladder and walls repaired but uterus was left out unfortunately . I’m wondering if kegels I’m doing could lift it at all

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  5 лет назад +3

      Hi yes Kegel exercises are really important especially with prolapse and after prolapse surgery. They can help support the uterus and the ligaments that hold up the uterus - they all work together to prevent uterine prolapse worsening

    What exactly are we squeezing? 🤬

    • @Thereisalwaysmore
      @Thereisalwaysmore 16 дней назад

      She states the pelvic floor. It also means: think about stopping yourself from 💩. Basically, tightening your anus without squeezing your buttocks. Also, upon further reading, I guess it's connected to the urethra for ladies (I'm a dude). Because it can also affect urine leakage.
