    Your videos are very informative. However, they would be excellent if you showed the actual procedure. Showing the results only do not have the same effect as showing the procedure. Just an honest comment.

      Thank you for the advice!! I recently purchased a mount for my camera for this exact reason. It was hard to have perform the job and hold the camera at the same time. So I would skip some procedures for that reason. Thanks again!

    This video is leaving out so many needed details it should be considered dangerous. This is going to set people up for failure and cost them a lot of money. You're taking the Haynes repair manual approach you may as well just took a picture of the truck with an arrow vaguely pointing underneath and said "remove bolts, inspect for damage, replace if necessary, installation is reverse order of removal" the only difference is there's a video instead of a black and white picture

    I know that this sounds crazy. Listen. I was stuck for an hour with the rear differential bolts. Use lubrication. I used WD40. Wait 10 minutes at least. Get a small car jack to jack up the wrench to get that leverage you really really need . I used a drill and a large Allen wrench attached to the chuck to lift the jack up and down quickly. You only need one 17mm wrench on the back side. Grab a small cheap little butane torch and heat each bolt individually before you attempt to finally remove it by hand force with the wrench. Take it slowly but this worked for every bolt. I’m actually on the toilet now, about to go back downstairs and take this thing off. I’m @ 2:40
    Okay next day. Used a project piece of 1 1/4" PVC pipe from Home Depot for about $5 to install the bearing. It will be a perfect fit for the inner race. Use a torch on the bell housing to make it easier to bang on. Use a chisel on the inside of the bell housing and bang it on in. Slowly but it will go. Also, I found my entire U Bolt at Autozone for less than $50.

    My truck when I take off, it feels like I’m running over a bunch of tiny bumps in the road at about 20-35 mph. Is this the problem?? The whole truck kind of shakes at that stage also. And when I’m doing about 55 mph, it makes like a fan noise. Like one of those old box fans. We checked my motor mounts and those are good

    Front driver shaft slid back on my coming out of the tail shaft of transmission after I replaced the bearing, my buddy was using the truck to pull out a f250, later I found out he was jerking on it with my truck, what would cause the front drive shaft to slide back enough that it called out of tranny? After I installed the shaft it ran fine no vibration or anything then woke up next morning for work and that damn thing fell out on my? Help please it would be greatly appreciated

      That’s strange. Did the new bearing install tight? I don’t see how your front shaft can move. Check for weights missing out or visual damage to the drive shaft. It may be out of balance

      Aaron Hines thanks ! I did after seeing this and right around the boot it moves left to right a good amount . That’s all I could find out so far . Going to take to my buddy’s shop to inspect . I had it at Nissan to inspect , change oil , do three recalls after telling them what I knew about it since I had just bought it . It’s been there for a week All they Did is change the oil and their inspection is it ain’t worth fixin! And that it has a blown head gasket Not sure how they figured that but Didn’t do the recalls and didn’t give me any info on the drive shaft noise

    Hello Aaron, thank you for the awesome video. I had a quick question. My carrier bearing was worn so I removed the driveshaft and took it to my mechanic. He removed and installed a new carrier bearing. I made sure the carrier bearing was installed in the same exact spot as the old one. I put the driveshaft in (exactly as it came out) and now there is a very small leak where the driveshaft meets the transmission. Do you have any idea why? A broken seal? Thank you

      @@isaitorres9929 Not a problem. The job was very easy, just a matter of popping off the old seal and putting in the new one. I didn't notice that my seal was in fact old and brittle. Make sure it sits right when you put the driveshaft back on. Here is a pic from the service manual

    Hey Arron I have a question about my Nissan Titan. I have a little jerk/play every time I come on a full stop and accelerate. Only happens when I fully stop. There is a little lag or play when I step on the gas.

    • @AaronHinesAuto
      @AaronHinesAuto  6 лет назад

      That could be the slip yoke,, motor mount, trans mount, or play in the rear differential. Can you hear this?

    • @sepomah
      @sepomah 6 лет назад

      Aaron Hines there is a popping sound on the front end passenger side but I don’t think that has anything to do with the play? Because the popping and clunking occurs when I hit bumpy roads

    • @AaronHinesAuto

      that helps. sounds like something in your front suspension is loose. have your upper control arms been replaced? those and sway bar bushings/end links are common issues to go bad on these trucks. i have a video on how to replace the upper control arms. its easy! if you cannot figure out where the noise is comming from. i would recommend taking the truck to an alignment shop have them put the truck on a rack and inspect for loose components. here is the video for the upper control arm i made. cheers!
