I bought 2 Dualshock 4 controllers within a month of each other. Both of them had upward drift right out of the box. Now, a year later, the issue has been resolved with many thanks to you! I never would've thought that the Bluetooth wasnt synced properly.
How did you do it
Turn off your controller. Use a toothpick or paperclip to push the reset button at the back of the controller. Hold that button down for 7 to 10 seconds. Plug the USB cable into the controller. Plug the other end of the USB into the console. Turn on the controller. Bluetooth should be synced.

@@toastyagma3865 the reset button is located through a very small hole on the backside of the controller. Use a toothpick, paperclip or pin (whatever fits, really) and you should feel it click.

Im using a ps4 controller on PC wirelessly through an adapter and the comment about it being a problem with the bluetooth, rather than the controller itself just resolved my issue and saved me from buying a new one. I decided to check the internet one last time for advice before buying a new one and this video popped up.

No. You just need to clean the inside where the analog is it's drifting cuz of dust and lint

It's temporary but it might stay for a month, year or something like that but it's not permanent

Idk if it's related or not but I remember my old controller had an issue that Everytime I pluged in my hands-free,the aim would go up by it's own,I gave it to an online shop to fix it and they did it but now it goes right by it's own😃
