Yo! @mpwall123 I swear I wasn't biting off your comment when I just posted exactly what you said about Rodney's impeccable timing. I rarely post anywhere on the interwebs, but got inspired when 2 of my favorites showed on my YT algo and after watching and reading some of the comments here, I was inspired to relate. Swear to Joe Pesci.
He was the best when on Carson. Carson would just let him run his jokes without actually trying to interview him, he would just let him be his genius self.
On Carson it was basically a planned script/routine between the two of them. Two completely diffrent styles, Conan just tried his best to achieve some kind of balance.
Rodney pulled many a laugh from his audience, but inside he was a sad child that was loved by no one; not even his mother. How sad. He never felt 'good' inside. The closest he ever came to that was when he made people laugh. He wrote his own jokes and was an AMAZING comedian in his own right. I hope God is still hugging you and giving you the love you never got as a child, Rodney. Thanks for the laughs, friend.
@@morethan3756 there is a doc. about his mother and his early life, so sad. His mother and a friend went to the cinema and he wanted to come with them. Then she told him he could come, but they sneaked out before he was ready and he could see them walk and laugh down the street. Makes me cry.
What a crowd WHAT A CROWD! I’m alright now but last week I was in rough shape you know.... Why just yesterday I went to see my doctor... you know my doctor Dr Vinny Boombotz!..... I tell ya he’s a strange doctor oh yeah. I asked him if my heart was strong enough for sex he said not if I join in...... I know I’m not good with the ladies I’m an ugly guy! Why just last week a girl called me up and said “Come over there’s nobody home”, I went over and THERE WAS NOBODY HOME!
What a riot! There he goes. Rodney is an irreplaceable character to the world. Conan is a lucky man to have gotten to meet so many classics and introduce new classics throughout his career! Not to mention he is pretty easy on the eyes circa late 90's ;-)
I always wished I could have had the chance to meet this legendary man, Mr. Rodney Dangerfield, and tell him I greatly respect his all of his work and that he made me laugh every time I heard him speak. I've never known anybody that DIDN'T laugh at his routines & thought he was somehow so real through his "act" that you almost felt guilty laughing at/with him!
1st seen Rodney in easy money I've loved him since then and he never has disappointed. RIP Rodney Dangerfield. Thanks for tje laughs that will never stop.
I like that Conan let's Rodney speak. I wish Rodney was here today,we need him more than ever!!! 2020 pandemic. the year where I will watch Rodney videos over and over to keep my sanity. lmao
Great stuff - I always hope, when I watch these later interviews, that the "newer" generation host would at some point ask Rodney how his doctor is, as if in a nice "in the know" tribute to how gracefully Carson used to slide into the straight man role for some of his guests - still great stuff to see Rodney still doing the classic show biz guest show route
Compare this to Johnny Carson. The audience then was so into it, everyone was losing it. Here, as Don Rickles said of Conan's audience, "Don't you get the feeling we're at a funeral service? Everytime they stop, they go into a coma".
I dont understand why these videos are uploaded @ terrible audio quality. The damage in this audio is easy easy easy easy to fix. These kinds of clips are history, but not caring about their quality hurts their ability to live through this age of clutter. I'll be remastering this video because it needs it.
I think I've seen every clip of Rodney on RUclips, great to see some new jokes the one about his Mormon wife is a killer not just the content but a brilliant delivery
Why they choose THAT clip? I felt it was demeaning. Maybe thats why Rodney DIDN'T want to plug. He probably was under a 3 movie deal he HAD TO DO. That's why he was plugging ALL his standup gigs.
Caddyshack, Easy Money, Back To School, and Wally Sparks....and the Funniest Rodney Picture goes to......"Easy Money", classic story-line, great casting, and hilarious throughout.
"I tell ya my wife is a lousy cook! at our house we pray after we eat! xD I dont know about you but i dont think a steake is supposed to glow in the dark??" xD what a legend!!!
Last week I told my wife, “If you would learn to cook, I could fire the chef.” She said, “If you could learn to make love, I could fire the chauffeur.”
I am not sure where this new obsession of mine with Rodney Dangerfield came from, but I'm sure glad it did. The man is a legend.
Norm MacDonald
Him and don rickles were great. No swearing.
Watch Reagan's 1st and 2nd inauguration. Rodney did the first one, rickles the 2nd
Mine came from The Simpsons cameo
I know what you mean.. ive always been a fan of his but I've been going back watching all his old appearances on RUclips lately..
same thing happened to me recently lol
His delivery is impeccable
I always thought the two greatest deliveries in comedy were Rodney Dangerfield and Sam Kineson.
Very true.
Absolutely. Rodney was a comedian for the ages.

He doesn't give interviews, he sits down and does more jokes lol
A-M-P maybe those weren’t jokes?
I can relate to Rodney. I met a girl at the mall the other day and told her I'm alone. She said. HAVE FUN.
Much like Norm. Lovely to watch.
@@Mustafa2892 I was saying that’s how talented he was, it was natural, he was a natural comedian!

True
Some people are just born funny
Most great comedians are very sad and lonely people on the inside.
His mother never breasfed him. She said she only wanted him as a friend.

Rodney should have lived forever - thank goodness for these vids!
I'll never tire of Rodney Dangerfield.
One of the best! I would have loved to see him live. R.I.P Rodney
I miss Rodney so much as a comic and as a human being. Rodney loved to make people laugh! May Rodney's soul continue on forever!

This was a great show. Sad to know we'll never see this type of programming again.
Thank the comedy gods we can on RUclips tho!
That Nunio's was a rough restaurant. On the menu they had "a broken leg of lamb"! Haha
At Nunzio's you had a choice of shooting or non-shooting sections. The lobsters had tiny cement collars.......
One of the very great legendary stand up comedians! I can't stop laughing when I watch Rodney Dangerfield's routines!

"I have my eye on her brother too." LMAO
He was at his best with Johnny. Firing jokes like a machine gun. And Johnny would play his straight man. Two legends that are sorely missed.
Playing with myself in the field LOL
so clever, one of the few comedians where you could never anticipate the joke haha
There is very little better then coming across a Dangerfield interview you have never seen before. LEGEND.
RIP Rodney, this guy and Norm McDonald make my day every time.
I agree
RODNEY DANGERFIELD SO AWESOME IN STAND UP !!!1
Funniest stand up guy ever. I miss him a lot.
if anyone was curious the site is still online
Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, Phyllis Diller, Garry Shandling, Robin Williams :( They are kings and queens!
You lost me at Joan Rivers but I found you again at Phyllis Diller.
