When I was a young kid in high school going through awkward teenage years, every night I would put on one of Rodney's cassette tapes to fall asleep. I still have those tapes but they are all worn out to be replaced by CD's later. Thank you Rodney for making us smile.
Every young comic that was coming up in the 70's and forward, got support from Rodney. He was very fatherly in that way because he knew how tough it was and anything he could do for another comic was appreciated. I respected Rodney for this, it's the sign of caring and leadership. The world always needs more of these characteristics.
I went to my doctor. He said you are really sick. I said I want a second opinion. He said you're ugly too. - That might be the best joke I have ever heard. RIP Rodney. You will always be the man.
My father took me to Las Vegas when I was 21 (~1989) and bought two tickets to see Rodney Dangerfield. I will always remember it as one of those shows where you laugh so uncontrollably, you secretly want the guy to stop.
You know Howard loves Rodney, the Legend, and he treats him like just another guest with the questions. That's anxiety folks. Howard is legend and legends recognized Legend. Loved this
Maybe the first interview with Rodney I've seen where he's actually being serious and not doing rapid fire, hilarious one-liners... Sweet... I've got "Rappin' Rodney" on vinyl still. Har!
He's somehow still so underrated. He's so naturally funny. He makes Jerry Seinfeld's deeply analyzed and written comedy seem...well, necessary for people who aren't naturally funny.
I was in Waikiki and heard a voice that sounded familiar walk by. I look up and it was Rodney. He was with a young blonde. There was a guy standing next to me and we both looked at each other and said that's Rodney Dangerfield. Not an exciting story but was a cool moment for me.
I miss Rodney and his generation deeply.. Seems most people just aren't quite like this anymore. Such a special guy that lived a full regular life then a life of fame, We respect you and thank you Rodney ✌
I notice a lot of humbleness in his eyes. It makes him so much more loveable to me. Even if he was a real twat I'd respect him just as because he is one of the greats
Whenever I'm visiting Hollywood, if I can, I make a point of stopping by the Westwood Village Cemetery, where Rodney and so many other of my favorites in the entertainment field are buried. His tombstone reads, "There goes the neighborhood." The perfect final one-liner, capturing the essence of Rodney's humor. Rodney always leaves 'em laughing.
Howard Stern is an outstanding interviewer. Rodney Dangerfield's comedy, at its best, is among the best out there. I like the fact that he doesn't use the F-word, especially the F-word every other word.
I'm so grateful to be old enough to experience Howard Stern in the 90's as a teen and 20's and now see his evolution as one of the most brilliant interviewers. BUT DAMN he was OFF THE HOOK back in the day!!
read his new book, howard has gone through a lot of changes (growth himself), as he would say, his questioning sometimes came from a more selfish place that had more to do with ratings... he'd watch the clock, try to keep listeners glued etc... and now he's beyond that.
Holy shit. I was just responding to someone with a picture I had saved of Rodney from a few days ago and I was thinking about how much I love Back to School and watch it every year. (Ladybugs is pretty cool, too.) Then I check my notifications and this was up 47 minutes ago 🤪
Got to see him live two years in a row. I think it was '88, '89 at Long Beach Terrace Theater and at The Greek here in L.A. "Drugs, I tell you I don't like cocaine just the smell of it".
You can tell this guy had a heart of gold. RIP Rodney and thanks for the laughs.
Rodney seemed like such a genuine man, you can see the pain in his eyes, hilarious man
Rodney seems like a very kind creative and unique soul.
What a legend. I would love to see this interview in its entirety
too bad howard sucks shit and never posts full interviews
With Stern edited out so Rodney could talk.
Well you gotta pay Howard...notice how fast he was going?
When I was a young kid in high school going through awkward teenage years, every night I would put on one of Rodney's cassette tapes to fall asleep. I still have those tapes but they are all worn out to be replaced by CD's later. Thank you Rodney for making us smile.
Every scene this man has in Caddy Shack is incredible. He could steal a scene no matter who was in it.
Jerrod P he was the best!!
Jerrod P sake for every role he had, IMO. Even in Natural Born Killers.
Hey, Ringo, here, play some real music.
Rodney Dangerfield was a hilarious entertainer. He could make me laugh with just his facial expressions, let alone the jokes.
Legend no doubt
He was always one of my favorites, too.

He was an amazing talent. I'm glad he got respect from his many fans. He seemed like a great guy, helping other comics start.
"At the time I quit, I was the only one who knew I quit." LMAO
Rodney knows what it was like to grow up with nothing. He stayed extremely humble for his entire life. I have nothing but respect.
My father took me to Las Vegas when I was 21 (~1989) and bought two tickets to see Rodney Dangerfield. I will always remember it as one of those shows where you laugh so uncontrollably, you secretly want the guy to stop.
This was great. And it's rare to see Rodney out of character like that.
I remember this interview I was 17 I thought Rodney was great but I didn’t really know how amazing he was. A true genius.
Brendan Fraser has really aged. quite funny too.
Dang. He does look like an older Brendan Fraser.
you pointed out the Oscar-buzz Biopic Brendan Fraser needed for his later years!
🤣😂
Geddy Lee looking young as ever, though.
Fraser gets no respect (from lawyers, at least) :-(
MISS THAT OLD GENIUS
Deff a natural👌👌👌👌
A naturally funny man. Not many guys like him today
You know Howard loves Rodney, the Legend, and he treats him like just another guest with the questions. That's anxiety folks. Howard is legend and legends recognized Legend. Loved this

1 of my all time favorite comedians
Maybe the first interview with Rodney I've seen where he's actually being serious and not doing rapid fire, hilarious one-liners... Sweet... I've got "Rappin' Rodney" on vinyl still. Har!

One of the best to ever do it! Comedic Genius!!!
1:20 Rodney was actually a good singer in his own right. And the greatest comedian ever.
His headstone reads there goes the neighborhood 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you were awesome Rodney R.I.P.
I was in Waikiki and heard a voice that sounded familiar walk by. I look up and it was Rodney. He was with a young blonde. There was a guy standing next to me and we both looked at each other and said that's Rodney Dangerfield. Not an exciting story but was a cool moment for me.
Rodney was the best, he's still making people laugh today.
I had to pause at the aluminum siding , that is just a beautiful story, these interviews are a gold mine
Rodney was one of a kind. A comedic genius.
I miss Rodney and his generation deeply.. Seems most people just aren't quite like this anymore.
Such a special guy that lived a full regular life then a life of fame, We respect you and thank you Rodney ✌
Much respect Mr. Dangerfield. RIP
I notice a lot of humbleness in his eyes. It makes him so much more loveable to me. Even if he was a real twat I'd respect him just as because he is one of the greats
Damn so many greats are gone. So sad 😞 I love Rodney so much.
*I'm glad they all made it. RIP RODNEY.*
Just seeing him gives me all these feelings of nostalgia, his movies were always on in my house growing up. Definitely a gem of a man ❤
Rodney was one of a kind, still unique.
I miss the old Howard. Rodney a true legend
Rodney was an icon. Funny for all time.
They had so much respect for each other
Aww. I miss the Great Rodney Dangerfield. Rest In Peace Rodney.
He’s definitely on the top 5 comedians of all time. So quick, humble, and hilarious.
Howard Stern is an outstanding interviewer. Rodney Dangerfield's comedy, at its best, is among the best out there. I like the fact that he doesn't use the F-word, especially the F-word every other word.
I could have watched this for hours! What a cool dude!
Wish I would've realized his greatness when I was a kid.
they dont make em like Rodney Dangerfield anymore... what a legend. RIP
"A little pot" lol this video played after RDJ saying he was smoking every 20 minutes while filming Back to School.
Loved rodney since I was a kid thanks to my grandad for showing me him
Legend. Miss you Rodney.
Rodney was, hands down, the best there ever was.
He was Ridiculous....Unbelievable
I, with my whole heart, absolutely agee..funny as hell..no cursing!!
I'm so grateful to be old enough to experience Howard Stern in the 90's as a teen and 20's and now see his evolution as one of the most brilliant interviewers. BUT DAMN he was OFF THE HOOK back in the day!!
The king 👑 R.I.P. Rodney
I've never seen Rodney so matter of fact. Howard seemed very fascinated.
One of the greatest of all time, and seems like a real good guy, too.
RIP Rodney, you are missed
The best comic ever!!
Rodney was a legend.
One of the Greats
I am on the PERFECT amount of drugs rn and this interview is real real good
Garp 👌🏼
Garp wish I could get those days back. My perfect was always more. So no more for me
I love rodney I wish he was born later so he will still be alive. Rest in peace
Rodney is a true legend
Selling aluminum siding on The Ed Sullivan Show during commercial breaks. The man is a classic !
We still miss you down here and we'll always love you big guy hope you're doing good ❤
I need to see this full.
It always fascinates me that Robin and Howard looked so damn amazing, young, and trendy in their 40s as opposed to their younger years
Before I got married I played the field, or to be more accurate I played with myself in the middle of a field.
God I miss this guy!
Rodney is a comic legend ! All hail Rodney !
This was the golden age of Howard & Robin.
Rodney was one of the best comics...always on his game.
God Bless Rodney / So many funny moments / Back to school was awesome
If I could eat dinner with a dead person, Rodney would be near the top of that list.
He wouldn't eat much tho, being dead and all.
I seriously miss this dude.
Much respect to you, Mr. Dangerfield.
Only 1 RODNEY 😎👍🏻👍🏻
wow, the show back then was manic compared to today's leisurely pace... Howard's questions were rapid-fire...
read his new book, howard has gone through a lot of changes (growth himself), as he would say, his questioning sometimes came from a more selfish place that had more to do with ratings... he'd watch the clock, try to keep listeners glued etc... and now he's beyond that.
That's because he never stopped to let Rodney answer.
Remember alot less time with guests. He was on FM radio then, satellite gives him alot more freedom in interviews.
He was so creepy in Natural Born Killers..
Love that movie
Never thought he could act so creepy until I saw that
He totally blew my mind, in that one. Amazing performance. Rodney had chops.
Holy shit. I was just responding to someone with a picture I had saved of Rodney from a few days ago and I was thinking about how much I love Back to School and watch it every year. (Ladybugs is pretty cool, too.) Then I check my notifications and this was up 47 minutes ago 🤪
great guy , so sincere here
Thanks for the upload.
He was hilarious in Caddyshack one of my all time favorite movies.
Got to see him live two years in a row. I think it was '88, '89 at Long Beach Terrace Theater and at The Greek here in L.A.
"Drugs, I tell you I don't like cocaine just the smell of it".
Rodney Dangerfield is going into a *DANGEROUS FIELD* with this conversation
Bad joke HAHAHAHA
We need a Rodney Dangerfield life story movie
Really miss him he's awesome
Can confirm I've ripped off aluminum siding that was 30+ years old and in almost perfect condition.
Great comedian, great style. Hate him or love him, he left his mark in comedy.
Legend!
loool jackie’s laugh at the end
Those were the days... Awesome souls..
Mid to late 90s Stern was on another fucking level.
Howard was exceptionally sharp in this post. And Rodney always throws in a one-liner to mix it up! :^)
God when he says hey it’s my mother!🤣🤣
Rodney was brilliant
This guy! And good ole Georgie boy, Carlin, the old fuck, that's all I need in my life...and of course Seinfeld.
Juggling Taxi 🚖 I was 14 asking how much money they have, LOL 😂.
