Awesome video, great work guys!
this video really help me to unedstrand to meke positive/negative disp in the same object. thanks
....this is so inspirational... thank u so much guys...
Thank you! The best explanation
I love it. I'm considering buying Ornatrix but I own V-RAY. Do I even need Ornatrix? Is Ornatrix the better hair solution for Max 2018 compared to Hair Farm? Thanks!
Amazing thanks! More of these!
water depth thing is nice
okay that's really awesome but i think we need a specific details about mapping those maps on this model
thank u
Can you please share the system specification including GPU info etc that used in this demonstration.
very much helpful tutorial..
Wow rendering will come afterwards, firstly how did u model it
waouh ! very nice indeed !
Very neat! I'm curious too to know what gpu you are using here
thx for that ,just one thing i didn't find any tutorials fro vray skin shader not fast sss shader if there isn't hope u make one.
btw i love vray
this helped me alot, thanks!!
Damn it this is amazing
great vid! thanks
please more and more.. and thanks
btw, love the video transitions
Do you think that this method works well when you apply a displacement map for create the skin? because i've tried to use the same workflow but unfortunately doesn't work for me, but when i tried to use open exr map export from zbrush it's works, the only parameter i've used is edge lenght
can you show us to how to texturing a warrior helmet in V-ray ?
Hello guys, I have a question: I followed the video and learned a lot abut this method. I've been using it since then but I'm facing an issue right now: the VRayLightSelect pass renders black. There's no info at all in them when imported to Photoshop nor in the VFB. We're talking of a scene with 4 cameras and around 25 lights (grouped for each room; a total of 15 VRayLightSelect Elements) and I rendered in batch.
When I rendered them separetely for drafts and previews it worked well. Any ideas on why is ths happening now? Does it work with batch or not? Is there a limited number for the VRayLightSelect elemnts?
Thanks!
Rename it each element (vraylightselect) separately and Render then it will render...
thank,you are great!
Amazing!
nice one
Where can i find more advanced tutorials on the VrayHairMTL and the VrayhairInfoTex ?
Thanks
It would be great if you share what videocard is used in the video...
I'm quite new to vray, how do you render via GPU? And is it worth doing with a GTX 1080?
Its very help
amazing
Is there a way to show displacement without having to render? like in mayas viewport?
the download line seems down?
Great video. BTW. What's the name of music? :)
Supercool
i'am a newbie with Vray RT and i have a question that i would really want to hear an answer for .
we see that there is a lot of new games that have some really great realistic graphics , and our GPU can even render 60 frame per seconds , with 0 noise to each frame while in 3ds max our GPU can take up to several minutes to get a SINGLE clean shot , can anyone explain whats the difference ?
Negative value in 32 bit map doesn't take effect in V-ray rt?!? First I thought that something wrong with my scene setup. Then i found this video and tried to render provided scene. Same result - no inwards displacement on armor in lion mouth area. To see it clearly it is better to delete normal map from material and try to render with min/max -5/5 (as default in this scene) and then cut range to 0/5. Nothing changes.
Then I tried to render it with V-ray Adv. and negative displacement is on its place.
I tried more obvious tests with simple plane and black map with -1 and +1 areas. Same result - no negative displacement. If I switch to V-ray Adv. without any changes in the scene it renders as it should be.
By the way i tried Redshift on the same host (3ds Max 2018) it is works fine with negative displacement. And also tried V-ray RT for Modo. It works as expected!
I'm completely confused, because it looks like no one has this problem, except me. I use 3ds Max 2018, V-ray 3.60.04, GTX 970.
Any suggestions?
What GPU was used for this lesson?
rendering with GPU NOT CPU
Scroll up and re-read my post.
Agreed, it's always very useful to know the spec of the machine being used in the demo.
can someone tell me how you guys make that HDRI armor in all group and put it into that helmet.. any info appreciated.. thanks.. god bless.. tia
source files made with 3ds max 2017. pls save for 2016 and share. thx!
Thank you for the suggestion. Scene has been saved for versions 2014 and up now.
WTF I LOVE IT!!!!
Why you use VrayHdri import texture?IT is better than bitmap?
what's the hardware used in the video plz?
Awesome))
cool
wHERE CAN i LEARN vray from 0
tienen subtítulos en español ??? gracias
scene file dont download
please save source files for 2016max
no more deal with geometry:)) use vray displament mode for ornamental, details, bumby faces etc....
Русский акцент всегда узнаешь
делайте на русском плиз!
The displacement in vray is a real shit. Too slow.
