@The_D0C70R - If you really want to get one, try and get it as soon as possible. The upcoming 400Z is putting the Z lineup back on the map, so demand is going up and because the price bottomed out a year or two ago, youngsters could afford it then crash it, supply is going down. So naturally the price has started to rise and will keep rising.

I disagree on borla for the 3.5, Tuning is more difficult to find compared to a mustang/Camaro. I recommend a true dual exhaust and lighter flywheel vs stock dual mass. Cold air intake best on infinity, Z already bare bone. Don't put a larger TB on stock motor. You will lose power. Plenum spacer best on 03-05. Coilovers #1, then wheels #2, #3 brakes are a must.

Good evening. Great video, thank you. I have a 2008 350z NISMO, first and only owner. At now at over a decade old with only 27k miles on it, I'm beginning to play around with mods. 1st mods were fixing the poor quality interior with quality fiber interior pieces to cover the hard plastic areas. Also added a Seibon carbon fiber hood with inlets to let my CAI breathe even better. Mod's I'm interested in.....Seats....the NISMO seats are decent but the seat bolsters don't provide enough side support when driving hard. Any reccs here would be appreciated. From the mods listed in the video, I'd be interested in your take on the exhaust and suspension recommended mods in context of applying them to the Nismo version. I find the suspension in my car to be the highlight of its performance. Do you still recommend coilovers for this model? Also, same with exhaust reccs?
Hey Bryan, very nice, the Nismo 350z is super rare! The primary difference is those better interior options, the body kits, and the wheels. The Nismo did come a little lower and with stiffer springs, and the actual dampers in the car were a touch better. But yes, coilovers can be a massive improvement in ride quality, as well as giving you the ability to finely tune the ride height and damping to tune the ride exactly the way you want it to feel. Additionally, I think the sway bars on the Nismo are a bit beefier than a base 350z, but there's still room for improvement with a set of sway bars which are made from better materials, and offer adjustability to fine tune the body roll. We actually cover a lot of this in our 350z suspension video, over here: ruclips.net/video/ACdQ832PuCg/видео.html And of course we carry and sell many of these products, and we'd be glad to help you choose the level of coilover suspension you want, or pick a sway bar set that fits your needs.

Does not mention Motordyne 5/16 spacer. Skunk2 is literally plastic trash and is known to leak because of this ( just look at the 10+ years on the forums) and doesnt really help with heat isolation unlike the motordyne spacer kit. Does not mention Z1 spacers, intakes, headers, or parts. Doesn't mention that both engines tend to run hot and would greatly benefit from 25 row oil cooler, and an all aluminum radiator ( also the Z1 rear coolant alum bleed nipple).
@@Motoroso not hating just saying. There are a plethora of dyno results on forums for these cars since they are old. Researching what actually makes power is important. Not to mention a tune should be included in this list as without that the headers are going to make the car run like trash.

Was just a little surprising cause we did mention many of the things you called us out on.
@@Motoroso i was just being specific on the actual brands you recommended instead of the ones that have better track records in the Z community. Hence the Z1 parts, and motordyne specifically .

I truly miss my HR. Ladies and gents i would highly suggest a 4.08 final drive upgrade on a 6MT. Worlds of torquey fun and the throttle response is amazing if you are staying all-motor... maybe @Motoroso can do a video on this... you will not reget it...
Also a short throw shifter can feel nicer....and don't forget the extra 10hp you get from install. ;)
Ehhhh
These translate to a G35 perfectly also.
I just replaced my camshaft position sensors on my 2003 350z. It kept shutting off at red lights randomly like 1 time every few days, and would throw a sensor code for camshaft. Still drives great only 110k original miles.
Does it drive better now? I just bought my Z and it has the same problem
@@goat3963 Yeah if your Z shuts down suddenly, then starts back up but slowly and gives you some lights. Likely is a cam sensor code it threw. Replace both, even if it only says one. Should fix it no prob.
Make sure you get nissan oem. I have had issues with ebay/Amazon sensors
@@djlunatikx You can get the oem on amazon, you just need to know what they use. Buy Hitachi, not Dorman or some off brand. Obviously.
Saving for one rn can’t wait tell I get info lol

why? trade in for a 37vhr.

The RJM adjustable clutch pedal will make driving a 6MT much more enjoyable and manageable. I think there is a clutch spring mod for the 370 but not sure if it is the same for a 350
I’ve had my Z since 2003. I’ve only swapped out my tail lights. The rest is stock. I watch these videos and think… I should do that. Never do😂
Considering right off the bat you didn’t even mention the rev up motor which is different from both DE and HR
Was an insane video! Thanks, planning to buy myself a 350Z in 2-3 months, i live in Belgium so you are not allowed to tune much, what do you guys recommend tuning on a stock z350?
Personally i think the power is good enough so if i would change something it would be the exhaust and the exterior
Upgrade suspension then. Those cars re amazing with basic suspension mods.

Cam shaft and crank sensors are a must I went over a year after putting my new my new de in with my car having problems because of my sensors I had to replace all four of my major ones and things run great now
Where did you get em? Do they share with other nissan
@@Xrissy10 I was an idiot and took it to Nissan.. You can buy all the sensors online and put them on yourself and will save you so much more than what I did..

Dead-on with the brakes. OEM setup is extremely weak. The Akebono kit is an incredible upgrade.
Literally just got an 06 today! So excited. Making my shopping cart now starting with window motors haha 😄
Haa 😂 LMAO! Good choice, I jus chg both of mine lastweek, after 1yr of ownership an dealing with it,but it's my weekend toy so didn't bother me tht much! But wen they both fail an were stuck all the way down😨😲 ummm yeah, think it's time ! 😏😉

Does motoroso send overseas to the Netherlands?
Love this vid thanks for the clear and good tips!
At this time our policy is to ship only to the lower 48 US States, BUT, if you'd like to contact us via email at support@motoroso.com, depending on what the item is, we might be able to do something custom for you.

We actually cover a lot of this in our 350z suspension video, over here: ruclips.net/video/ACdQ832PuCg/видео.html
And of course we carry and sell many of these products, and we'd be glad to help you choose the level of coilover suspension you want, or pick a sway bar set that fits your needs.
@@Motoroso Thank you, you guys are quick to respond; I respect that. I'll check out your website and go from there. Have a great evening.
@@Motoroso Nismo option also came with Brembo brakes as well.
Yessir, thanks for adding that, one of the most important and potent upgrades on the Nismo version!

I will have one in 6-7months comment back then hopefully I can keep y’all motivated and show y’all it can be done
Jus alil FYI, the 2006 350z was NOT A HR MOTOR, IT WAS A DE REV-UP VERSION! HR WAS ONLY OFFERED IN 07-08! 😌
There are 3 engines. The one with 2 air intakes is 08 and 09 models only
So cold air intake and coilover and breaks seem like the first things to get
Does not mention Motordyne 5/16 spacer.
🤔
@@Motoroso not hating just saying. There are a plethora of dyno results on forums for these cars since they are old. Researching what actually makes power is important. Not to mention a tune should be included in this list as without that the headers are going to make the car run like trash.
Motordyne at 6:19 "one of the most popular in the industry"
Headers at 2:57 and a full exhaust video here ruclips.net/video/s6qaSbC_BYM/видео.html

@@Z33Garage All good, we can handle a little heat. This video is intended to be a starting point for peeps just getting into their 350Z's, and if we tried to cover every nuance out there, it'd be an hour long. Plus, there's people with far deeper experience than us, yourself included. But we do really appreciate your contributions here. Was just a little surprising cause we did mention many of the things you called us out on.
@@Motoroso i was just being specific on the actual brands you recommended instead of the ones that have better track records in the Z community. Hence the Z1 parts, and motordyne specifically .
I have a real love/hate thing with my nissan but she looks so beautiful
Noobie question, when you purchase these parts, do you need to install them yourself? Or can you bring them to a shop to do it for you? Thanks so much
The OEM non brembo brakes are perfectly fine with a good pad...for daily as well as spirited driving. Do thorough research before purchasing anything...dint listen to just one person(seller).
Yeah lol was gonna say this, while a BBK upgrade is nice the OEM brakes are pretty good too just upgrade the rotors and pads and it's a night and day difference.
My lowering springs paired with aftermarket swaybars handles way better than any coil setup and way cheaper. Just fyi 😁
Lol and how many track days have you been on…
U forgot about the de rev up which is from 05-06 then is the hr which is 07-08
You are correct! We lumped the Revup in with the DE (it is officially the "VQ35DE Revup") for the purpose of this video. We shouldn't have done that, a lot of people not happy with us about it, haha. I also mis-stated when the HR motor begins, and that was just me messing up. We actually cover the engine breakdown in more detail in our intake video which isn't out yet, but that's where it matters most in relation to the plenum spacer. Appreciate your contribution!
I like my AAM Competition 3" single better, I think the sound is better on mine vs the Tomei
I’m one of the lucky one that my rev up doesn’t consume oil well at least when I put 10w30 it doesn’t
Plenum spacer not needed on the 350z HR 08 (twin intake)
There was no hr in 06, you forgot the revup

What wheels are in the thumbnail? those are beautiful
Technically the 350z came with 3 different versions of the vq motor
Wouldnt most of the engine mods would also apply to the infiniti g35?
I think the test pipes alone give more horsepower than the headers tbh.
I got a set of koni yellows and swift spec R springs for my z recently. Not sure im ready to go whole hog into coilovers just yet

Try to buy 07-08 are the best version. Older models piston rings no good.
Do you ship worldwide or just in the US?
So I checked your site for the Skunk2 intake plenum. Your video says that it comes with the spacers for the strut tower but on your website it does not. ?
Hey, you're absolutely right, our listing was very unclear about that. I've added another phot that shows the full kit, and enhanced the description to be more detailed. it does include the spacers: www.motoroso.com/p/112377-skunk2-racing-307-07-0400-composite-plenum-spacer?lid=1705234
