Blake Hansen I’m saving up to buy one currently. My brother had an 08 that he owned for a couple months before selling because he found out the clutch and flywheel was bad while it was at the dyno. Cleanest example in New England with a motordyne shockwave and art pipes.
I shit you not, it’s the greatest sounding engine I’ve ever heard other than like a Ferrari 458 or something else very expensive. Save your money and get a Motordyne Shockwave, buy the ART pipes, it’s very expensive but VERY worth it

scott Craig-Stearman I know your comment was posted 4 months ago so there’s a chance you won’t see my reply, but I’m saving up for a 350z right now and decided to buy a Z instead of a G35, even though I initially wanted a G35 because it has back seats. But my question is if you ever find yourself wishing you had back seats in your 350z? My brother had an 08 for a little while and said he never really felt the need for back seats because the trunk space is pretty large.
I have a 2000 Civic 5 speed hatchback right now, and I bought a hatchback because I wanted the extra space. But I find that I don’t take advantage of the extra space as much as I’d like. Usually if I have groceries or my backpack, it just goes in the passenger seat unless I have a passenger in the car, then it usually just goes in the footwell of the backseat behind the driver seat. And sometimes I drive my friends around, but by now most of them have their own cars (I was the first person in my friend group to buy a car so I naturally became the Uber driver).
But my question still stands, do you find yourself wishing you had backseats often?

In all truth a 350z can be a everything car. It’s inexpensive, affordable mods, reliable, all in all you can’t go wrong if a deal comes up.

Everything but reliable, lol these cars are not reliable.
As a 350z owner I can confirm that yes, I am missing plastics, yes my headlights are all but gone (I drive on high beams), yes I use a lot of oil, and yes my trunk doesn't stay open. I wouldn't have it any other way!
-Dont forget your windows may or may not fully roll up
-Your center console compartment doesnt open or close properly
-Your front license plate doesnt mount flush
And you have 3 cup holders for 2 Passengers and cant use any if them
And none of your tire pressure sensors function properly
And my favorite, everything that you enter the car with in your pockets are now safely stored behind and underneath your seats until your next destination

I didn't know I loved the 350 until I took my mom's after she passed away. It's a completely stock 2004 touring with 192k miles and it has been an incredible daily. I don't drive it hard since its my only car. Amazing car and extremely reliable.
Heads up to anyone that doesn’t have a Z that wants one. I absolutely love mine but yes it does burn oil. Mine was going through about a quart every 1,000 miles. One thing you can do though is replace the oil cooler gasket. It likes to leak there and it’s a really easy fix. Only takes about 30 minutes and costs about $5. Also, when you’re replacing the clutch go for stage 3 and replace the rear main seal while you’re in there. If it’s not already leaking you’re on borrowed time. Also, avoid eBay parts. I know it’s cheaper but it really isn’t worth it. Go ahead and shell out the money for a good OEM oil pressure sensor. Thank me later. Alex also didn’t mention the Track Edition which has Brembo brakes. I’ve owned a Track and currently have a Touring and I can say with absolute confidence that the stoping power of the Brembo brakes is significantly different.

Everyone treats you like shit, other BMW people are usually jerks especially on the road, and no one in the car scene likes you. Everyone drives stupid Honda's and Mustangs here, and they all make unreliability jokes as it takes a good 45 seconds to a minute before their horrid 302ci finally belches a plume of oil smoke and flaps away on 5 cylinders.

Infxmous infamous trumpet engine by nissan/infiniti. it’s in 350z/370z/g35/g37and the fx60. DE and HR were the varying motors. so g35 has a VQ35DE(3.5L) and 370z has a VQ37VHR(3.7L). the new gtr has a beefed up version called the VR38DETT

I’v been saving up money to buy a 350z for a wile and Last week I bought it but the day after there was rain, and I was in the higwey, unfortunately I lost traxion and now the car is a total loss.
Only the motor and the transmission aren’t destroied.
Now the grind starts all over again

I've owned a DE and 2 HRs. My 07 HR was driven with passion past 150k and at times driven over 150 miles a day.
Never left me stranded. Amazing car eith bolt ons, tune, and some coilovers.

I got lucky with mine, 2006 touring model just about to hit 100k, and it was in great shape! I've had it for 3 years, done a good bit to it, never really drove it too hard very often, made sure it had oil in it (never lost much at all) and am looking to another few more years with it. Would advise keeping it a little on the quiet side, it can get very droney.

I've had mine a little over a year. Actually great cars, and simple to work on. I personally like the way it sounds with my Scorpion cat back, more rumbly than a lot of options out there. Really tail happy too, don't underestimate it just because it's N/A! I have 10.5j on Nankang NS20's and you gotta be careful in the wet

What the hell, I always loved the sound of a 350z. It’s very characteristic, just sounds great, reminds me of the r35. Add a turbo for that sweet whistle and it sounds amaziiing.

I have a Daytona Blue 350z with rims, tires and upgraded brakes and I absolutely love it. I went 10k miles in about 7 months. Definitely getting a 370z after my 350z.
Own a 2006 350Z Grand touring roadster for 2 years, love it, fantastic car for the money. Best to have another vehicle for rain or winter conditions.

Love my 08 Nismo. No problems other than window motor dying and rear wheel bearings, my fault for wheel hopping on track... Truly under rated cars, and tons of aftermarket support.
229k miles on my '07 HR and it runs flawlessly. I ran a 13.8 second quarter mile a few months ago with crappy tires and 95° weather, so it still pulls like it's brand new, doesn't burn a drop of oil.

The z is still a very affordable car, it is currently my owned car and my second car. they are so modifyable! Also..You forgot to mention ONE thing, the base model has open diff compared to all the others.

I bought mine brand new in 2008, 1200 miles I put twin turbos for 500 RWHP, 32k miles on it now and no engine issues to this day. I love my Z!
Just got mine for 3.5k almost perfect exterior 2003
already dumped 2k on tires, rims, headlights, seats, etc lol
Cheapest one I can find here are 6,5k and they are all roadsters, most even auto:(

Awesome video! Should do so you want a Mini Cooper! Through the generations, the cars have tons of quirks, character, engineering flaws, rapid depreciation, but they are a blast. Would be a wicked entertaining video if you start at the beginning for sure. My R56 burns a quart of oil every 800 miles but that’s what makes it special!
I bought a z 4 years ago when I was 18. Had it for a month and sent a rod through the block (204k miles wasn’t so great). Now come back 4 years later to the day I picked up a WV2 2006 that had one owner. She was 80 years old when i bought it off her and it looks spectacular! Zs are cheap but damn they’re great!

HR is better since it's the least issues compared to the rev up
de is aight, but less hp out of the box roughly 280hp vs the hr with 306hp plus you get dual air intake rather than one
literally the same sound lol just depends on what you do exhaust/intake wise

I have a 2008 Z and a 2010 e93 M3. Love the sexy body curves of the Z and all the aftermarket body parts gives it an exotic car look while the M3 has beautiful interior and an absolutely amazing sound, especially when your revved up to 8500 rmp!

Just got mine with 180k, in black, manual, and everything works for $4800!! Fooking LOVE it even came with nismo exhaust and a purple shifter!! Hah just letting homies know that if you hold out you too can find a steal of a Nissan!

Owned my Z for 3 years now. 05, 6 speed manual, rev up. I love it. Don't let people scare you about the oil consumption. If it's a healthy rev up the oil consumption isn't anymore than to be expected from a sports car. But the parts are some what expensive, and working on these cars isn't the easiest. I had my knock sensor burn up on me. Took me 6 hours to get it out and a new one in. Other than that, the car has a ton of power for what it is. Spinning tires in second is as easy as foot to the floor, burnouts for days. Love it

I’ve owned my 2004 touring roadster since it was brand new. I’ve never beat on it but had driven it hard and tracked it a few times. I paid over $40k for it new! GREAT CAR!

I spent as much on my 08 350z HR as I would if I bought a 370z.. it had only 40k miles, a 6spd and absolutely nothing done to it. I personally like it more than the 370z and after the tomei 1.5 way diff (3.90 ratio), z1 lightweight flywheel w/ unsprung clutch (slave cylinder relocation kit as well) and replacing EVERYTHING made of rubber in the rear end of the car.. I'm extremely satisfied. Broke, but satisfied. Next is suspension and brakes. Then I'll think about the engine.
