    For the Hr models in my opinion any intakes that are not 3” just aernt worth it..... get the 3” intakes and get tuned and you will get the most gains over any other 2.5” intakes on the market. And dont get Shortram
    Intakes lol they honestly give you less gains 😂

    All these ‘cold air intakes’ will underperform compared to the sealed stock air box. You’ll get more noise though if that’s want you’re after.

      After I got my 07 years back and was looking into intakes...that was the conclusion I came to as well. Kept stock boxes and added in KN filters. Lot less spent...better performance...just doesn't look as appealing as SOME of the aftermarket options available. And not as throaty...but cost/performance trumps the other factors at least for me lol.

      This can be true for many cars and I defintaely agree with short rams but Long tube 3" dual CAI with a tune on the HR are ABSOLUTELY the best NA power gains for the money. Drives & accelerates like a differnet car. Its not even debatable on that platform.

    • @jeremygalloway1348
      @jeremygalloway1348 3 года назад +2

      @@ryanscanlan9875 he's referring to the aftermarket that aren't LT. And he isn't factoring a tune in the mix. That will make the largest difference in numbers and feel. (Lt intake w tune versus just lt intake /aftermarket/stock intake wo tune).

      Definitely been eyeing the Injen Long Tube w. First Tune.
      Right now, I'm finally getting my suspension completed (aftermarket set-up) Feb for my HR, bc lower driver arm bent creating premature tire wear sooner.

    most people say buying a throttle body isn’t worth it

  • @freeyourmind8849
    @freeyourmind8849 Год назад +2

    I'm going to be honest. larger TBs are for forced induction cars, on stock cars you will lose midrange power/torque. The factory intake tube are optimal and non restrictive I don't recommend aftermarket CAI especially metal ones have heat soak. Spacer must be metal the plastic ones crack then blow out and your stranded. Hope this help.

  • @jeremygalloway1348
    @jeremygalloway1348 3 года назад +1

    The factory 350zhr intakes ARE cold air intakes...by definition. Their inlets suck air from outside the engine bay. At least on the HR...dunno about the single intake 350zs

  • @jeremygalloway1348
    @jeremygalloway1348 3 года назад +1

    I haven't looked into it in a while...but weren't people having a lot of problems with increasing TB size? Leaks...codes thrown...'sticky' throttle issues...stuff like that?

    Which is the best plenum space for 350z. ? 5/16, 1/2 or 5/8

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  3 года назад +1

      Hey Tung, well it's tough to say which is "Best", it depends on how hard you'll be pushing the engine. First question is, do you have the base VQ35DE engine? Because if you have the RevUp or HR engine, you don't need the plenum spacer. If you're not pushing the engine super hard and you're not worried about generating too much heat, then the Skunk2 is great value and will result in a nice sound and solid power gains: www.motoroso.com/p/112377-skunk2-pro-series-03-05-nissan-350zinfiniti-g35-58-in-intake-plenum-spacer?lid=1705234.

    I'm interested in the TB upgrade on the HR but They are so much bigger and the resulting loss of velocity seems to be not money well spent on the HR. Better on the VHR and definitely good on the single DE TB though.
