I saw Dino at the London Palladium summer 1987. He did six concerts. Monday to Saturday inclusive. The greatest live experience of my life. Smooth. Funny. Beautiful music. When he sang Memories are made of this he told us all he earned 30,000 dollars from the song. When he sidled up to the pianist after he finished to he song, he asked him how much he'd earned. Last count Dino, two million bucks. Dino feigns surprise, asks why do much, Dino he said, I wrote it. Priceless. Love the man and that 25+ years after his death on Christmas Day 1995, we still love him. X.
When ever I watched his Shows I find myself smiling. Everything he did appeared effortless. I once had a dream to see him performing on stage.sadly, never to be.
Thank god for RUclips. Some priceless videos on it. So glad we can see em... I was 8 years old when he did this concert, now I sit in my back garden listening to him on headphones whenever the sun ☀ shines. ♥️
Shamal deokie, you meant to say sammy davis jr.was the greatest entertainer.no one and i mean no one could ever be compared to sammy.he had the best voice and was the best performer.thats what you meant to say.i forgive you.from robert, the s.f. giant fan.
@@robertrothberg8678 Hi Bob Sammy Davis was also one of my all time favourites wish he was alive today but his memory will always live on RIP brother .

My dad sang this song all of his life and as a kid I absolutely loved to hear dad belt out his version with the growls and just made it so funny. I loved Dino as a young girl I always thought he was so handsome and loved his swag and cool charming smile. Mr.Charisma should be known as cause he was electric whenever I seen him on tv I was drawn in. Now look with you tube we can look and listen as much as we want. Bless u Dino and thanks for the talent
Everybody’s excepted his smooth & beautiful voice and can’t deny how charming the man is. A great entertainer. Pure talented. Singing Bumming Around at this concert is exceptionally beautiful. Speechless I am. He’ll always be loved, remembered.
I saw both Frank and Sammy in Vegas but did not get a chance to see Dean. He was the king of Kool with a capital K. Sammy always wanted to be Frank, Frank always wanted to be Dean, and Dean always wanted to be playing golf. His said and did funny things and Frank could not tell a joke to save his life. Remember the good times. R.I.P. fellow Gemini. ( Died 12/25/95)
I got an ol' slouch hat Got my roll on my shoulder I'm as free as a breeze An' I'll do as I please Just a bummin' around Got a million friends Don't feel any older I've got nothin' to lose Not even the blues Just a bummin' around Whenever worries start To botherin' me I grab my coat, my ol' slouch hat Hit the trail again, you see I ain't got a dime Don't care where I'm goin' Where I'm as free as a breeze An' I'll do as I please Just a bummin' around I've got nothin' to lose Not even the blues Just a bummin' around Whenever worries start To botherin' me I grab my coat, my ol' slouch hat Hit the trail again, you see I ain't got a dime Don't care where I'm goin' 'Cause I'm as free as a breeze An' I'll do as I please Just a bummin' around Just bummin' around
I loved the Dean Martin Show. He had no real script just came in did what they ha planned. Made it fun and it was fun for all that watched. He could act drunk better then a real drunk. LOL I saw him drunk once on the Johnny Carson show in a white suit. That time he was shit faced lol // He was a great entertainer loved by all that knew him and all of us that wished we did //
Ex-wife Jeannie said he loved doing these shows, but that they "took a lot out of him". Mr. Martin and his posse enjoyed sight seeing, a visit (and interview) at Wimbeldon, plus a birthday tribute by the Variety Club of Great Britain complete with a visit with Princess Anne. Dean must have enjoyed it because he came back (in a far worse physical and emotional condition after his son's death) in 1987 for some more London shows. The decline between how he is here in 1983 and concerts just four years later is remarkable. Overall, I'd say he handles himself very well here; sounds good, old jokes come off well. I also noticed that in late-career interviews like the one he did in the UK in '87, his teeth looked odd... I have since learned that he had some very difficult and painful dental work done around this time and this caused him great pain.
Thank you for the comment, I very much enjoy learning about Dean Martin. I can’t find much documentary’s about him So thank you! I am planning to get Deanna Martins book “ memory’s are made of this” but anyway thank you!
