Two great singers.Frank had studied reading music, controlled breathing, and working with complex arrangements, voice control.Dean didn't bother with any of that.He just sang from the heart.😊😊

I urge you to "learn to sing" if you aren't already in a choir, band or taking lessons. Check out the community colleges for music programs. (Now a days, check out the web.) My god that's exactly right. How sad that is. I hate to put any positive spin, but I guess we are lucky they lived late enough that we have hi fi recordings of them. Other masters of other arts such as Caruso, all there is are crackly 78's, not that Caruso is in such a high league as these giants of class, charisma, culture, etc... Love them both smoking cigarettes whilst working. I feel like our whole culture and all our greatest people are just fading away into history... because of the speed of new information, folks who have recently died like Sammy, Frank Dean etc, are no more remembered than Julius Caesar. They may as well have died 1000 years ago. This is super sad for me because I was 12 years when all 3 were still working regularly. I saw Frank live 3 times. My friends barely know what he was about.

These two. Together. Tremendous. I'm a Frank girl. He amazes me no matter how many times I listen. Dean was the true crooner in the Bing Crosby style but Frank was just different. Enrique Rodriguez, get yourself a copy of the bio "Frank, The Voice" by James Kaplan and "Why Sinatra Matters" by Pete Hamill. The Hamill book is a small, short book you can read quickly. The Kaplan book is big but all consuming. Buy/download Frank's albums. He is stunning in his interpretations of the best song writers of the 20th Century.

Frank invented pop music phrasing. The way he used the microphone was art

Legends must humble themselves to classical discipline and appreciation for the base of blues and jazz...the era of "Sachmo/Count/Duke/Dizzy/Lionel/ Billie....etc. So much "class" and impeccable style and respect for discipline....
